I love this movie but in retrospect what a strange tone to open the movie with. Yeah, I get they want to establish him as the tough, no-nonsense type but it's very violent and anyone who took their kids is probably thinking, "What the fuck did I bring them to see?"

I love this movie because its actually pretty consistent with this approach to all of its comedy and tone. There are some good jokes, you can tell its written with adults in mind despite the direct to home video premise.
