This is a way of referring that they needed to move up through France to conquer the Third Reich.
Truly a dedicated man, always ready to fight and push on.
>>67893508
He meant that, given the plight of the semitic man getting harvested for lamp-shade leather, the actions of an American GI were a metaphor for the need to always fight the oppressor, no matter what the circumstance.

>>67894263
the show itself gives multiple answers to that question. i think we would have to go back in time to get a definitive answer.
>>67894263
Killed prisoners of war after giving them cigarettes.
>>67893915
All is fair in love and war. You play to win, not to be fair. Speirs did what he had to do.

>>67894263
He allegedly shot 6 or 7 German POW's after offering them cigarettes. Nobody knows for sure whether or not it happened, but all the troops believed it, and he never confirmed nor denied it.
What IS known though is that he shot one if his squad leaders in the head for disobeying an order twice. He immediately reported himself to his superior officer, who was killed the next day, so the incident was never pursued.
>>67894424"Cigarettes" is what he called his penis

Not officially. He would have been court martialed. The army never followed up on the allegations because he was too valuable.
>>67894664
problem?
>>67894700
>>67894683
No, Dick Winters confirmed it and so did the author of the book. Also, they were told not to take prisoners. It was counter-productive to their mission.
>>67894790
Unrelated question: Did Winters and Nixon ever erase the "b" from their bromance?
