rarbg for new releases, rutracker for older movies.

>>63818675
A movie encode done by a scene group with an off the shelf x264 parameter. Very slightly inferior to internal encodes in terms of quality, but only autistic fedora tippers notice the difference.

As long as you have about 8mbps for H.264, it's all you need.
>>
I wish I could get invited to private teachers
>>
>>63818653
Their are no secure public trackers, they are, by nature, public.

>>63818667
You misunderstand, there's nothing wrong with scene encodes for grabbing and watching a movie, but you don't grab them for quality and you wouldn't bother with 1080p over 720p, i was answering his question.
>>
>>63818732
I don't misunderstand. Getting the 720p scene when the 1080p is right there is silly. The difference is substantial.

Meanwhile the difference between the 1080p scene and 1080p internal is minor.

I'll give you my pasta.

The ratio system here isn't broken, it works really well.
The way it's meant to be done is this:

1. Use your first ratio free 20GB to download any music you'd like and perma-seed it.
wiki.php?action=article&id=627

2. As you (slowly) gain upload from that initial 20GB you're seeding, download more music you want (as much as your required will allow)

3. repeat step 2. The more you download, the more your seeding size will increase and the faster you will get upload (eventually you will have more upload then you no what to do with, I barely seed any of my music at the moment because I haven't had time to set it up).

4. If you want more upload or faster, upload your own content and making it fucking pretty with album art, correct tags and a nice, thorough description so that people actually want to snatch it.

If and once your required ratio allows, jump on staff picks and other freeleech torrents ASAP and you'll never even have to think about ratio here again.

You'll notice it's all about encouraging retention and uploading content. That's why what.cd actually works and is what it is.

before people reported e-mails and fucked with each other instead of just sharing.

>any private trackers for movies with the upload requirements similar to BTN?

As in ratio-less? No. Here's the break down:

PTP: Easy to seed on, Generous BP (Bonus Point) system, lots of freeleech.
HDBits: Easy to seed on, not quite as generous BP system but all internals are 50% freeleech.
Awesome-HD: All internals are 75% freechleech and your first 800GB of them are effectively ratio free.

Movie trackers are far and away the easiest trackers because of the large files, there's no work required compared to say what.cd which can be difficult with a crappy connection.

Ratio isn't just about elitism, it's about ensuring long-term survival of torrents.

If everyone has to share 1:1 before they stop seeding, nothing will die. If everyone downloads but doesn't upload, you get what happens on public trackers, where its near impossible to download anything remotely old or non-mainstream, especially at a decent speed
>>
>>63821861
I'm only on a 'small' tracker but from what i can tell most stuff only has 1-5 seeders (still good enough speeds for my slow connection) unless its something decently popular, the rest is people going apeshit with a seedbox for a month so they get 1tb upload and can do whatever they want
>>
>>63821861
This is somehow the way it works, but it's essentially a big greasy lie. Just a bunch of seedbox kids would be enough to keep the life of thousands and thousands of torrents. I n practice, no ratio should be needed if a community has enough seedbox to keep everything afloat. In the current environment, it's for many people just useless pain.
>>
>>63821861
If everyone seeded everything they downloaded it'd cost too much to maintain. What's the point of piracy if you have to pay the same amount in a new HDD anyway?
>>
>>63822084
>>63822243
Yeah seedboxes do throw things off with the basic principles of it, but the overall point remains in that if everything is ratioless, there'd be no point in people having seedboxes, and the torrents would still die. Even things that have 1-5 seeders, if it was ratioless I can almost guarantee those torrents would have none (why would you not just delete it to free up the HD space?).

>>63822335
I think you underestimate the durability of hard drives my friend. And people do seed on private trackers, that's the point.
