Convinced it'll be hipster shitter writers in California instead of Normal Human Beings from the midwest writing it. Donated really early on, either on the first or second day. It isn't much money thankfully, but now I pretty much regret my choice. I will watch a few episodes before passing judgement, but it's definitely not a good sign that the Turkey Day segments and tonight's telethon really made me cringe and got on my nerves. Crow is ok, Servo and whats-his-face "new Joel/Mike" are not ok. They sound like they're trying way too hard to be funny.
It bugs me that Felicia Day is one of the mads. It doesn't feel right and I can't figure out exactly why. Worse comes to worse if the show is actually ok, I'll just skip/mute the host segments.
It bugs me that the old cast isn't returning. They were invited but nobody is behind the project. The only reaction I saw from the old cast was negative. Not a good sign.
Hindsight is, this show died when it was still pretty good and people still loved it. Sometimes that is okay - not everything needs to be brought back and produced until people absolutely hate it. I really hope this new series doesn't tarnish the good reputation that MST3k has had for so long.
