No, It really had to do with handedness. Back in the day when you had to wind your watches, the watch went on the left hand so the right hand could wind the watch. the dial was on the right face of the watch. Some lefthanders would wear it on the opposite side for the same reason, even though they would have to wind from the far side of the watch, which is awkward as fuck. That is why the DO actually well Left Handed Watches.

When she took one of the cans and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each can and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
