I like the premise of her death. It was very fitting. She's trying to be like The Doctor, trying to be clever. But she failed. She wasn't clever enough. I also like how no one is responsible. There wasn't a big bad guy who went out specifically to kill Clara. But it's pretty obvious the Time Lords orchestrated the Trap Street, so the Doctor is going to blame them. Can't wait to see the fallout.

The death which he's already cancelled on two occasions.
It's a shame they didn't focus more on Clara's character development. They could have really made something out of the "becoming too much like the Doctor" concept, but it just feels sort of half-assed. It would've been great to see her taking progressively greater risks throughout the season, until she fucks up good and proper in Face the Raven. But as it is, the whole thing feels like a bit of an afterthought.
I'm intrigued to see where they'll take the story, though. It would be great if >>62920225 really happened.

Last night I dreamt that Clara would die, I hadn't watched any trailers or been reading /who/ or anything.
It also had a gunfight with some baddies (clones of the goodies, after Dr Who confiscated their guns). Turns out goody Clara kept a gun and she died in the battle. Then the big bad (maybe Tilda Swinton?) shot Dr Who, paralysed him, and erased his memories.
At the end, the baddies (plus Dr Who, now thinking he's a normal scientist in a wheelchair) see Paul McGann teleport in, with a not-evil version of maybe-Tilda-Swinton. He has a vehicle that looks like a cross between the DeLorean and the 1960 Time Machine time machine, all rustic and completely exposed (not bigger on the inside). I think he called it the TARDIS and implied it was made on Earth, maybe even that he was human.

Since then it's just bounced around filler to make room for this really loose overarching plotpoint that doesn't come together fast enough for a one hour show so everything gets convoluted and never fucking explained and gets overlooked really fucking easily.
Like the no real explanation for just leaving Danny in the hard drive, and leaving the fucking hard drive in the middle of no where despite how much of an issue Missy having it turned out to be.

I agree, though I also liked the first part of eleven's run, when it seemed the silence arc was going somewhere and they didn't keep postponing it and mixing it with the trenzalor stuff until none of it made any fucking sense and they had the explain away all the previous silence arcs with a throwaway line of dialogue.
I had been hoping that 12's run would heavily build up to finding gallifrey with some clues in every episode, but simply bringing back the Master as Missy in series 8 didn't nearly cut it and now it seems 12 is indeed returning to Gallifrey, but Moffat hasn't built and arc to give any hype for it at all during this series, instead choosing to dedicated episodes to eye snot monsters.
