Hello. Please do not be concerned as snout positioning is rather difficult, experiencing problems in this area is rather common. There are multiple tutorials on drawing Nick, though key take aways to besr in mind are

Please do also check videos by Fanny Malvezin - draw along with the videos, it should considerably improve your understanding on proportions, positioning and relation of the snout length to the length of the head.

Hello. Let's get start with the speech bubbles, which are a problematic issue for a large number of artists.
General rule for comic composition dictates speech bubbles ought be planned first, with art composed to supplement them. There are different schools of thought, although the reality sees a healthy balance between readjusting both the artwork and the bubbles to make for a good composition, with dialogue being given priority lane.
It might help placin the speech bubbles first as well as writing the dialogue, stripping it to essentials in so far as to estimate the volume of text required to leave one enough of a wiggle room to make minor adjustments, otherwise the situation can be compared to recutting opening for the windows after the house has been built.
As for the "natural" composition of comic panels, there should be a certain "flow" to the panels, guiding reader's eyes via gestures or accounting for the reader will follow the direction of gaze of character in the latest panel. As with every artistic matter, there are no rigid rules of workflow as very artist eventually works out their preferred to at to tackle the workload. In order to do so, however, you should familiarise yourself with different ways to do it, analyse what works for you and what does the, creating your cery own and personalised solution.

Secondly, speed will come naturally as you continue working on your project.
