I disagree completely with poly and I prefer not to get involved with pairs that aren't the 3 I support and canon.
There are not any examples on how gems are capable of handling multiple partners in a relationship.
The only gems we've seen hold or share romantic feelings are Ruby, Sapphire, Rose Quartz, and Pearl.
Ruby and Sapphire being a monogamous relationship and Garnet not wanting anything to do with a third party (Love Letters).
Rose sharing them with Greg but returned Pearl's feelings as well (rumor I've heard)

For sure, I don't doubt her eventual canon redemption- I'm saying that I just don't have the luxury of knowing whatever secret they have hidden about Jasper up their sleeves. Because as it stands she seems generally quite unforgiving, and with a lack of empathy. Much harder to redeem than Peridot, especially considering there isn't the mutual threat of the cluster. Really the only current option is to make her incredibly despondent, in debt to Crystal Gems, or both. Either by corrupting her physically and Steven gaining motivation to find some form of cure for her and the green thing, or it'll be her telling Steven a story while she's injured about something she did to help the Crystal Gems in the war, hence the title.
