It also doesn't help that people keep spreading the "/co/mblr" meme across just about every other board to a point where it's infected the board, itself.
Threads there only slightly pick up when an episode airs, because that used to be the only time threads would be allowed, with mods deleting anything else, sometimes even deleting threads when the episode ended.
It also doesn't help that just about 80% of all Loud House content probably comes from these threads, which even further discourages people going to /co/, when everything's made here.
There was no "kicking out", like a mod actually saying something and interacting with the community like they should be doing, and there was hardly a dramatic exodus, this was just literally the only place threads could be made, and it grew from there.
It's a vicious cycle caused by the ineptitude of the moderation piling up over the years: People in first place try to do something for fun; they get deleted/banned; they move out to secondary place; secondary place gets popular; first place dies a little; people in first place try to do something to make things fun; and etc.
It's why plus4chan is a thing, it's why the 2edgy4itsowngoodchan is a thing, and it's why 7chan is a thing.
Anyway, long tirade kept short: it sucks, but what are ya going to do.
