Mouse Thread #7: Cat and Mouse Edition
All characters welcome, but OCs especially so (tell us all about them, please).
All genders and orientations are fine. Rats also welcome.
Optional suggestion for this thread: Pics, comics and stories of predator/prey relations. It's always fun to see mice and large predators getting along... or not.
If you wish to aid in keeping this thread bumped with art injections once it gets down to around page 6 or lower, that would be appreciated. Feel free to post anything interesting you've found, received or made, or post commentary, at any time, though.

I figure it's open season from now on for comics, stories and image sequences: If they're more than, say, six pages, just post a few and then link to a download or host, otherwise feel free to post the whole thing. I'll do my best to snaffle them up and add them to the MEGA folder (tell me when posting if you don't want them rehosted there, please).
We also now have a centralised MEGA folder for "resident" OCs and media pertaining to them. This is for the sake of easy referencing by resident artists, keeping everyone on the same page, and just general interest.

Sup Bazza. Uh, well since I've pointed out she is my tulpa, I guess the best thing I could do as far as a bio goes is post a bit of what I gave to my friend with the image references. Haven't really put it in any kind of order, just kind of copied and pasted with a bit of editing, but here you go. Do with it however you like and feel free to ask about anything I wasn't clear on. I can talk with her when she gets up in the morning.

Also kind of how I realize its getting late is that she starts yawning about 15 minutes before 10. I love the picture and personally know the artist who made it, but every time I look at Suddenhack's work, I look at it longer, and longer, and I realize there's so much that could've been done better.
Of course it's a colored sketch, so detail was never gonna be paramount, but still...

No worries. Had a little go at this one too, but it's harder because the colouring's more complex (damn gradients). Her "dipstick" marking (that's what they called it on e621) ended up about the same colour as her hair and the shadow under her tailbase went weird.

Trust me, it's not that hard. Just a magic wand/lasso operation, followed by some careful selection cleanup, then a hue/saturation/lightness adjustment.
The spots were brought back by underlayering the original picture and "rubbing through" over each one with an eraser tool set to have antialiased edges.

I used to see a constant trickle of Vixine stuff, so I'm guessing either interest waned or they adopted one of those watermarking systems that lets them ban leakers. I'll keep looking, but I'm not too hopeful...

Well I didn't draw it (based Akunim did), but I thought it could use some colour... it's not much, just flats. Even the shading comes from the linework. I might try colouring and shading pic related later, see if I still have any talent at shading (I used to be reasonable at colouring, but I'm ultra-rusty).
I'd love to see more art of Olga. Maybe I'll actually be good enough to draw some one day.

I figure so. White fur just seemed to fit her look, and I went from there.
I put in the latest version of her bio that she's pretty okay with it. She has a pair of contacts that block out the extra light that leaks through her semitransparent irises - on bright days she appears to have darker eyes because of them. Got some flack for it in school, but then she's a geek anyway... they'd always find something to bug her about.

Mmm, no, other animals definitely get sunburn (my poor white-eared cat knows that all too well). If the UV's up she just dabs a little sunscreen on her pink bits, like any other mouse, I figure. With that long thick tail, spray-on must be a godsend.
She does like to wear a hoodie out and about (hoodie + mouse ears = adorableness), but no, she's not much of a mouse for hats unless it's for the sake of a specially-themed camshow. She does wear wigs, occasionally, though...

Paint.NET, actually. I do have SAI and Krita, though, as well as a Cintiq, if you can believe that (I used to be a bit better off than I am now).
The pics I've coloured have been done entirely with a mouse. I should probably have used the Cintiq, but it's currently in an uncomfortable position relative to my desk.

yeah I've had a few fantastic DnD games. in two 40k ones currently and PTU is pokemon themed (I'm DMing 2 games separately. its a lot of work.)
Fun fact: I made a several characters in a followup campain to my original fantasy one that my friends got me in. The first character was a, and it was by DM permission, Were-tiger Minotaur Beserker. 8 INT 42 STR. lol. BUT the important one for this thread. I had made a Catgirl Sword Dancer named Sharah to have something to play when my other character went off to do something. Thats where My mousey gets her name. She chose it when picking my brain and deciding what she wanted her name to be.
Oh and relating to size, Sharah is actually 5'2 (I'm 5'7. hah)

Ah, so she is a stoat (AKA ermine, when the animal has its white winter coat). I quite like mustelids myself, but this is the mouse thread. You might have more luck in one of the general drawthreads, if you're persistent.
Couple more experiments.
Colourised this one for Nags/Sharah. Had to guess at the colour of her ladybits (yes, personal biases were involved). Nags, tell her I'll give it a quick dab with the brush if she doesn't like being naked and pink down there.
Also coloured this one of Chelsea. Hope you like it, Unnam3d.
