We're back on track to start running Nirulea, the fatty DnD-type group writing game, the chatstep group is currently working on, test runs. Whether you plan on spectating or participating, and feel free to join chat and do either, answer anyways. These runs will typically start around 9 EST and may take anywhere from an hour to several hours.

IRC is easier but I don't know why we couldn't have just used Rizon or some other existing servers with everything set up. Also I don't know if the servers log chats or not. Only found like one old forum post from Rizon that says they don't so who knows.
Discord apparently keeps logs of everything you type in there, so up to you if you feel comfortable with the possibility of someone reading your fat yiff rps. Plus there was something about the company who runs Discord doing shady things in the past.
Skype is skype. They apparently hide IPs now but still it is Microsoft. And you need accounts and shit.
Chatstep I don't trust either. No documentation of it anywhere, just random articles that claim it doesn't store logs and it is private. It seems to keep your IP hidden up until you share an image. Whether by bug or by design, isn't good for privacy.
And don't even mention phone apps. Typing on a phone is the worst thing ever.
In short, everything just sucks.

I think there's a distinct difference. Those types of threads tend to pick up momentum with drawfags as a sort of fad, which is how they keep going for so long. However, they don't turn into consistent generals, which is what a male thread would be doing. A male thread also wouldn't have this faddish backing power behind it, and as a result would be even closer to being a barren wasteland than this one is if it even managed to survive.
If there were enough demand for a full male thread I could see going for it being worthwhile, but as of now there just isn't enough momentum to carry it. It would be practically dead at best, and literally dead at worst.
Just make a male thread. Don't let this thread scare you into thonking it can't work. That fear tactic obviously didn't work on the other thread and they're surviving. In fact, there's like 5 differently themed fat threads doing well on their own.
