I enjoy the simple outlines. I know it's what you're known for, but after so many color-filled volumes in the background in "Late Stake" and "Sloshed Fox," I'm glad to see outlines. Hints at shapes. Maybe it's a visual shortcut to avoid filling in all the coat colours? It's still interesting.

And the main action is visually interesting too. Sitting comfortably but at opposite directions frees up character motion, and emphasises this isn't a bed. The setting isn't a couch. They're in a field and playing as comfortably as they can and feeling things out. You don't need to see long views of the meadows or clouds to emphasize setting; the characters interact with the ground consistent with the scene.
There are a few parallels with the Wendy Darling scenes with Peter in 'Lost Girls,' but frankly "Sunny Day" is less stilted. Lovely, Weaver.
