I think Pearl runs off everyone's she's ever been close to because her Pearl qualities make it hard for her to exist without someone to tell her what to do.

Once again, I should think I speak for the majority of /freaks/ when I say that I want the major events of Jasper's story to have impact and allow her logical and meaningful character development so she can actually be a strong character past the tidbits of personality she has shown, the shitty stuff she's done, and her physical appearance.
