The waiting period actually turned out to be a bit of a saving grace. My brain was fried last night (sorry, anons who asked for a synopsis) Re-reading it this morning while I was waiting made me realize that there was a bunch of shit I needed to fix.
Summary: (I'm just gonna copy the one I wrote for FF)
Zootopia "prequel." Takes place in the Zootopia universe equivalent of a highly romanticized industrial revolution. Slightly steam/diesel punky. (Emphasis on "slightly." It's more an excuse than anything else.) Obviously, no canon characters.
This chapter's short with not a lot of action, mainly as a demo of my writing style (this is the first creative piece I've ever written. Shhh, tell no one)

It's mostly about how they're going to charge Bellwether, how a lawyer (her wolf husband) could model a defence and get it reduced from - and this is what I was planning on - bio-terrorism hate-crime to something about "just" conspiracy and poisoning. Basically the DA wanted to come down on Bellwether as hard as they could to get the citizenry to trust in the system again, and to placate a lot of angry predators. Her husband would try to combat a stacked jury of more predators proportionally than there are in the city, to lessen the chance of a jury who are ready to convict on the outset.
His defence would be to basically paint her as a downtrodden victim all her life who finally snapped under pressure and wanted power only to give herself some safety, who set out on the scheme without a specific prejudice against predators (I mean, she really only did it so almost the entire city would be united under her leadership in fear rather than out of direct hatred of predators). He'd twist the evidence and the facts so that it looks less like she's responsible for a string of bioterrorist hate-crimes.

The problem I think is that Zootopia has a tight economy of characters, especially ones with development that prevent or stave off some of the projecting fanfiction writers do; and by extension our drawfriends have the same economy to work under, creating a perfect storm for OC.
Hence the /co/ thread aggravation, the exodus, the slowing of conversation; everything is working off our one, sole movie right now and the content we can build from it, which as of now lays fairly narrow without doing something like AU or going original.
We were fated to be here, in /trash/. It frees us from the mortal coil of baser tribalism employed here, and we work on new beginnings and dream of deleted scenes.

I was okay with Karma going away personally.
I was less happy about what they did to body damage. I mean leg damage is more crippling in 4, but the fact it automatically heals itself was kinda lame.
I did like what they did with radiation though. It was definitely an improvement, made it something to actually watch out for.
And I would have been okay with the new skill system except I hated how many points you had to spend just to unlock essential skills, like weapon and armor modding. Stuff like that should be unlocked through quests, like with the synthetic weave. When I used console commands to just unlock all those skills from the start, I actually had a lot more fun levleing up since I could afford to look at less mandatory skills that were more interesting.
Also, i really hate that synthetic weave is tied to the underground railroad. Sure you get it fast enough, but the first time I played, I had no idea it was even a thing until I had already destroyed the railroad, thus locking me out of getting it for the playthrough. None of the other factions have anything that nice.

Not him, but I think Midna's problem is mostly with the colouring and the fact that Midna as a character looks like a cartoon.
It wouldn't be too complicated to adjust the textures of a model once it's in the game.
With the right textures to match Fallout's shaders some Zootopia characters (if not all) would likely look life-like enough to not look like abominations.

All joking aside, it did inform some of the characterization for Judy. She finds it very degrating most other prisoners refuse to identify a platypus properly, calling him a beaver. It's important to her to call a species by the proper name.

By working on it I mean I'm sulking in anguish at the fact that I'm probably about to fail this whole semester. I blame half of it on drinking too much coffee this year. It works at first but after a while it really fucks up my ability to function. Six days clean, at least. Now I just have finals next week.
