Nah, I don't think so. I think the wide open world that Zootopia brings will save us from that fate. Even if we devolve into purely OC content, it'll still be exploring that world. Honestly, Gazelle felt like she's only in the movie for the sake of being in the movie.
The exact same speech she gave could have been given by a random passerby and it wouldn't have changed a thing.
She wasn't bad really, she just feels out of place and weird to me.
(Though the fact that he seems zoned out and dead inside while performing and shaking her ass in front of large crowds is a nice case of Deepest Lore.)
