Lets have a trip down memory lane and remember the toys that marked our childhood and made us pass countless hours playing and being overall happy with them.

They dont need to be special japanese editions, nor need to be 100 USD or above, any toy that made you geniunely happy is welcome here.

If you want to share a short sotry alongside the toy, feel free to do so!.

I'll start with Capture Claw Superman.

When i was 6 to 8, i was never into Superman or any particular superhero, my favorite toys were Megazords and Beast Machines, but when my father came after work one day with this buddy in hand it became my favorite for basically all my childhood, im not sure why but he just filled the average protagonist hero spot in my play stories so well that i guess it was part of him charm.

I played so much with him to the point of decoloring his hair and upper body, will try to get one eventually, they dont seem expensive at all to my luck nowadays.

As an 80s kid it was all these DC heroes. I punched so many other toys with my action-punching-feature Superman.

We didn't have cable and there were no stores in town that sold comic books, so the only thing I knew about them was what was on the packaging and what I gathered from a couple of coloring books. Because of that, Wonder Woman was usually the "damsel in distress" and Superman was the only one who could fly.

We didn't have a lot of money, so I didn't get a lot of playsets. Instead, whenever my parents would get something that came with styrofoam packaging, they would give it to me and I would draw all over it with my markers to make a base or lair or whatever.

Super Powers was a great line. I have a huge collection of super powers stuff, stopped about 8 years ago, though. The prices went through the roof.

I got most of them at Sears.

Back when Sears sold toys in the actual store.

I remember playing snes games at sears. When they were classy, and somewhere more than desert scavengers wanted to go...

I had fun with alot of tos. One of my favorites was some of the kenner aliens and predator figures, especially the alien vs predator two pack. Or twitch from when toy story 3 came out.

Just looking at that single page ad shows more graphic design skill than goes into a whole catalog these days. When did America become completely unable to do anything?

Beast wars Optimus Primal. A fairly big, chunky figure with a ton of weapon gimmicks. he feels like the type of figure Buzz Lightyear was a parody of. His sculpt still holds up well, with some nice articulation.

Okay hotshot, let me share you my tale.

I found this ratty, beat up Mego-style white ninja at a yard sale long, long ago. His outfit was torn and his left hand thumb was gone.

My mother was a professional seamstress, so I asked her to repair his outfit. She did one better and remade a completely new outfit in blue & white. She also gave him a new thumb with some epoxy glue. I painted his hand black to look like it was a gloved cyborg hand like >>5621400

Me & Mr. Ninja had days of summer fun in the backyard together. Sadly, I lost him when my family moved while I was at college. I still think about that Ninja to this day. Once & awhile, I'll check on eBay to find another one, but they either go for insane By-it-now prices or I just missed snagging a cheap one.

I had one. He had a black body with orange weapons.
We're thinking of the same line, right?

I used to keep him in my closet and I always thought of him as an evil toy.

I love stretch Armstrong style toys. It is insanely frustrating that they don't last, though. I'd love to get one now

This bad boy. I played with it all the time when I was 5-6, especially during the summer when we would set up an inflatible pool for me and my
dad
to swim in and I would always bring in toys to play with in the pool. Unfortunately I treated my toys like shit, throwing them around and whatnot (just ask my star wars episode 3 toys, they are all missing limbs or accessories) and, combined with the exposure to chlorine water, spidey was pretty much ruined and we threw it away. RIP in pieces Marvel Classics symbiote spiderman.

Yep! Abused the shit outta mine, loved them. Had the one with red and gold armor and black rubber body and another one

Aw yeah. These were my jam back in the day. Not the "Super Powers" ones, but "DC Superheroes" that came out right after the '89 Batman movie. Superman had an action feature where the figure came with a wearable kryptonite ring and there was a magnet inside Superman's chest, so when you held the ring up to him, he got knocked down.

Anyone who collected Batman in the 90's knows the pain of not being able to find any villains, but these had all the classic foes readily available.

This crew right here. I was a huge Nintendofag as a kid, and I usually carried these guys everywhere. Mario and Luigi in particular. They're the only toys I've had in my possession at all times for as long as I've had them. They were never put away or packed anywhere. When I stopped carrying them everywhere, I just stood them on top of my NES.
