June isn't over yet! Remember to take a whirl at one of these June challenges anons:
>Build a minifigure of a Star Wars character that doesn't already have one.
>Build a robot command centre. You figure out what it's supposed to be a robot or command them!
>Build something that's mostly Lego but uses some third party/off brand pieces.
>Build a brick-built wheelchair that looks better than the one in 60134.
>Build something based off of another anon's MOC.
>Fenimiminismninimism- Give your female figs something BADASS to ride around in! Bonus points for minidolls.
>Make a Fighting arena for your two most badass minifigs!
>Go to the Lego aisle at Walmart and startle someone
>Home Sweet Home - In honor of Captain Rex's AT-TE, rebuild a vehicle into a mobile home for your favorite figs.
>June Bride. Set up an impromptu wedding between your sig fig and another fig, or your waifig/husbafig and another. Bonus points for celebrity guests, full musical acts and ultimate points for treating her/him like a princess/prince with a "fairytale wedding" (fancier the better).
>share your funny Lego-buying stories
first for megablox
We should just leave the June challenges up
Am I the only one who posted anything relating to the monthly challenges
>>5764141
Yeah probably. Rather sad innit?
>>5764144
I think it's because lately they've just been "all the suggestions" instead of the top 1 or 4
>>5764136
Oh, when it comes to Pirates, I am ready, baby!
>>5764148
I think I'd agree with this.
>>5764136
>two and a half months away
Probably jumping the gun a bit there on your stupid obscure holiday.
>>5764152
Well, if people want me to start running the challenge polls again I can.
Link to this post if you have a suggestion for the July thread challenges! After 10 or so suggestions are posted (please only post one suggestion) I'll make a strawpoll and the top-rated idea(s) will be the July thread challenges!
>>5764155
Oh lighten up anon, I just assumed this thread wouldn't last 'till the Fourth of July and I thought it'd make a nice joke. A new, properly American thread can take this ones' place on that day.
Also
>talk like a pirate day
>"obscure"
Where'd you wash in from?
>>5764157
>E PLURIBUS UNUM! Anyone can come to America and can be an American. Throw together a figure or minifigure, or group of such expressing pride for their American roots or status. Bonus points for non-humans!
>>5764157
I'm going to suggest my own:
make a summery 8x8 vignette for a minifig of your choice
>>5764162
I like this one too.
>>5764157
>Gather your minifig gang and build a vacation getaway vehicle for them (car, plane or ship)
Or a previous one but still good
>Build a 10x10 vignette for any of this year's CMFs (Disney and Germany soccer team included)
Or
>Pick two mixels from different tribes (any wave) and combine them into something new
>>5764167
You're not very fond of reading, are you anon? Not only did you ignore the part where you were only asked to make one suggestion, but you also made the same suggestion that somebody else made not two posts above yours.
>>5764176
Have mercy on him, it's just a few ideas.
nah, here's a wheelchair i did for the challenge. More people iirc did some challenges.
I probably also did the feminininmimsm thing since i always post waifus driving cars.
But i agree it would be cool if more people participated, but not everybody has the right parts to make things work ofcourse.
>>5764157
>MICROFIGHTING!
>Design a Microfighter for a vehicle/set that doesn't already have one.
>This isn't restricted to star wars vehicles, it can be whatever you want
>It has to be approximately 120~ pieces and able to seat at least 1 minifigure
>Bonus points if it's stylised to look 'chibi' as other microfighters have been
>>5764157
Build some summery accessories for your minifigs summer escapedes! Think stuff like sandcastles, barbeques, partytents, buffets, inflatable pools! Bonus points for outdoorsy shots and brickbuilt landscapes.
>>5764187
those are neat!
>share your funny Lego-buying stories
A couple days ago I ordered 8 minifigs for 20 bucks from BL because I have a massive hardon for anything sci-fi. Some anon said I paid too much when they were amongst the cheapest on BL (and the store I ordered from is not far away from me, so any money I would've saved by ordering from some chink or yuropoor, I would've lost it in extra shipping cost).
pic unrelated
>>5764219
Yeah, I don't know what that anon was talking about. It seemed like a good deal to me
>>5764219
You still paid way too much for grunts/pawns/mooks, no matter how much you try to justify it to yourself.
>>5764187
Not quite micro-fighter sized but I've been working on these off and on for about two years. Seriously thinking of finally bricklinking them soon.
>>5764197
Lego needs to expand their Microfighter horizons. They're wasting a lot of potential because as of now they only make them for star wars sets, but I think it's about time they started making microfighters for different lines and iconic sets.
>Microfighter Deep Freeze Defender
>Microfighter Classic Space Cruiser
>Microfighter Deep Sea Predator
>Microfighter Alien Avenger
Yes fucking please.
>>5764231
Nice work, I especially like the blue and green ones. You've captured the GS aesthetic nicely.
>>5764187
>Microfighter Viper and Gunstar
yes
Yes
YES
>>5764162
>>5764163
How about an 8x8 MURIKA VIGNETTE?
>>5764219
It works out to $2.50 a minifig, which is pretty average for a bunch of no-name dudes factoring in shipping.
I mean, I didn't say anything at the time, but while I don't think you were ripped off or overpaid or anything, for $20 you could've got something a lot cooler. If you were a friend of mine and you asked me before you bought them whether you should, I'd have said no, because they're just really generic.
But presumably you got stuff you liked so it worked out well for you. It's just not too impressive a score.
>>5764240
Thanks! They've each got some nice features too. The green fighter has removable missiles, shown here...
>>5764252
You should make them flick-fire, just for the fun of it.
>>5764240
The blue one has flick-fire missiles and a pretty perfect cockpit design in my opinion. Being blue, I tried to make it as close to the actual Vic Viper as possible while keeping in the GS theme. I even gave it a pair of "Options", which can be arranged at a number of points around the fighter using the two trans-clear extension parts.
>>5764240
The red fighter is built for speed, and can form-shift into a Blue Falcon-like ground speeder craft.
And lastly, the orange fighter is quite heavily armed, and comes packing with a deployable bomb that can be dropped from an opening hatch in the rear. I shamelessly stole this gimmick from the orange GS mech set.
And all fighters have folding landing gear and unique cockpit designs. I worked have to give each fighter some individual flavor and specialties (speed, heavy assault, etc) while also making sure they looked to be part of a team.
>>5764258
Huh. I thought Red was supposed to be Lord British.
>>5764274
Nah, only the blue one resembles the actual Vic Viper. The other fighters are just my own thing in the Galaxy Squad style.
I sure hope he gets accepted.
>>5764136
https://youtu.be/E1V91bp5GG8
>>5763882
The light azure motorcycle is also in the friends first aid jungle bike set, not just the scooby mansion set.
Considerably cheaper that way when you can still find those things on clearance/discounted in stores.
>just had an idea
>someone already had it
>dumb enough to post it on Lego Ideas
Lego Ideas don't allow new pieces, do they?
Why not sell the idea to a third-party?
Seriously, I want this.
Resin casting isn't that difficult, I guess.
>>5764479
>dumb enough to post it on Lego Ideas
Why even? Ideas is only for set submissions, not parts packs, and certainly not new pieces.
>>5764479
Brickforge has these, but they don't have any waist articulation like the ones you posted.
>>5764483
I know.
They've even got decent colors and pattern options.
But dat articulation.
Are any of their animals articulated?
Seems like only DIY and the Chinese do that.
>>5764187
I have some old ones
It's June 30th now, why won't S&H give me my damn knight promo?
Tell me I don't have to wait until midday to get it.
>>5764492
Their cow has a moveable head I think, but that's as much as I know.
Holy crap the old style horses are pretty simple to take apart without any damage.
Wish I had one of the new ones to try out.
MULTI COLORED HORSES HERE I COME.
Got ren's command shuttle today and minus the inaccurate colour. This set is really cool and the build is super enjoyable.
>>5764513
That Emperor is totally rad, dude.
>>5764246
Fucking beautiful.
>>5764498
You're the same anon who made this, right? That's pretty good.
Only plastic bricks can dull the pain of MML3.
>>5764551
Thanks senpai, have another
>>5764558
I should be tearing through storage looking for my own Lego stuff but instead you're making me want to redownload and emulate MML1/2.
The MML stuff actually got me thinking.
With Sonic becoming a part of dimensions now, how high is the chance of other vidya universes getting an addition?
>>5764562
Portal was in Year One, so it's clear that Valve is on good terms with Lego. I really don't think we'll get TF2 or L4D anytime soon, though. Maybe Half Life.
>>5764567
>Lego Alyx minifig with back printing includes pink panties
>>5764549
Why thankya, man. Thought it up myself just sittin' here drinkin' beer and shootin' stuff off mah back porch!
As an aside, I like trying other stuff for astromech heads and stuff. And this ended up happening. I built a real one, but I'm too lazy to get the phone.
>>5764578
Exterminate?
How do I not end up with floating pieces in LDD?
>>5764479
>tfw kinda want some brickforge/brickarms
>too much of a purist to buy them and risk them getting mixed up in your collecyion
>>5764633
Being a purist limits your possibilities and eliminates certain others entirely.
Hell, as shitty as they are I've still kept my old megabloks around. The good quality third-party pieces I keep sorted next to my Lego. The shit quality pieces, usually the blocks themselves, are all in their own bag, which is in a box I keep stowed away for when I want to experiment without ruining something of value first.
Seriously man, they make good accent pieces. Just don't go overboard, and never buy bricks or minifigs that aren't repurposed Lego.
Or Tyco in the related picture's case.
If you happen to buy a set such as the Enlighten's legendary pirate's stuff, just keep them separated and you don't have to worry about it.
It's about the fun/display of it, not brand loyalty.
>>5764649
eh I'm not so big on minifigs to start with. Would be fun to build some crusaders or something though
any advice re: making the delorean not absolute shit?
i haven't made very much progress so far but it does have a windshield and a sloped front at least
>tfw no transparent 1x3 or 1x4 plates
WHY GOD
>>5764656
Army building for starwars, military, and medieval is exactly what the biggest third--party producers are about, funny enough.
>>5764659
I've been looking to this one for inspiration but a front windshield is an absolute necessity for me.
My one also fits two figures but the doors don't seem to close properly. (It's hard to tell in LDD)
>>5764661
I thought 1x4 trans-clear existed.
Pretty sure you're right about 1x3s though.
>>5764664
>8 wide car
Jesus that's wide for a delorean
>>5764665
It does, but was only made in 1977 and trans 1x3s don't exist at all.
I'd fucking kill for either of them in trans-red, goddamn.
>>5764668
Damn.
What do you need them for that two 1x2s and/or a 1x1 + 1x2 wouldn't work?
>>5764675
Vertical taillights with one connection point or two oddly-spaced ones that don't play nice with two 1x2s (due to the solid area where they meet).
>>5764679
Appropriately colored 1x4s with 1x2s on top?
Seems like an obvious work-around, but hey, just trying to help.
Not sure what your thing looks like.
>>5764684
1x4s with 1x2s attached juts out a bit far, but eh. I'll figure out something.
>Not sure what your thing looks like.
A brick.
>>5764567
>it's clear that Valve is on good terms with Lego
did you know the cake is also a lie?
>>5764590
Unintentionally? Perhaps you but a brick under your model which lifted the whole thing?
>>5764689
Could always kragle 1x2s together!
Good luck then, man.
>>5764695
I'm not gluing shit, I value my plasticrack too much for that even if it's a one cent piece.
Thanks, though.
We posting our DeLorean's now. The lightsaber rods are for heresy to make the uranium canisters.
>>5764703
bazinga
>>5764558
My God, that crab. The day I finally managed to save the entire village by destroying it before it could spin was a proud moment for me.
>>5764162
where is the link to the guide?
so what makes these 'mixel joints' so special?
>>5764774
They revolutionized building mechs and creatures?
>>5764788
i haven't played with bricks in years and years
i'm looking at them and aren't they the same tow-hitch ball joint things that have been around for just as long?
>>5764790
The balls are indeed the same size but the other parts has a clutch!
>>5764790
The ball part is.
The other side is friction fit to allow for a stiff, but movable joint.
They're also made in more sizes and configurations of female to male, male to female, and varying plate-ends as well.
Think of them like more versatile tiny bionicle joints.
>>5764774
Remember how the old towball pieces used to just hang loosely when they're connected? In 2014, Lego introduced a new family of parts that use the old ball size, while upping the friction. They're super useful in adding moving joints to your builds, because the friction allows the parts to hold poses.
The "mixel joint" term comes from the small Mixels sets (also introduced in 2014), cute creature builds that are cheap and reliable ways to obtain these joint pieces.
>>5764774
Mixel joints are amazing for all the reasons already listed.
I keep these tools at the edge of the table when I run Lego Quest. They work so much better for making floating shots than the way I used to do it.
>>5764846
Yeah, the way Lego does ball joints, there will always be one axis that will have less movement than the other. They're still endlessly fun to mess around with, though!
>>5764850
Oh hey, I remember when I suggested something similar to you a while back.
>>5764846
there are ways around the horizontal movement.
I can see that you guys use a program to emulate bricks on the computer.
what program is this?
>>5764860
LDD its free
>>5764860
http://ldd.lego.com/
LEGO Digital Designer. It's an official program that comes with brick connections written in, and it contains a majority of the company's vast parts library.
It's been with us for around a decade now, but it continues to do good work. Updates come in very rarely nowadays, but Lego's developers have not given up yet.
Planning on making a huge order ($300-$400) in august. What is the best way to get as many buses from it as I can? Do I just make a few throwaway accounts and order everything to my house or is Lego smart enough to realize Stu D. Brickerton I, II, and III are not real people?
>>5764866
keep in mind there are some odd or old pieces missing (like 1x2 half walls with square edges instead of round) and some of the more creative uses of bricks don't work in LDD because they're not LEGAL LEGOâ„¢ CONNECTIONSâ„¢
>>5764872
You can always do multiple orders from the same account on the same day to the same address. Lego won't mind.
Heck, if you make the same purchase in a Lego Store, the cashier will be happy to give you as many bonus sets as is applicable.
are custom printed minifigs heresy?
>>5764878
Uh, not really? As long as you're printing on official parts, I think it's as heretical as using custom stickers (meaning: A-OK).
Just gonna dump some pictures of the builds I made over the last month or so. Mostly just cars with a girl or two thrown in.
>>5764886
>>5764888
>>5764890
>>5764892
>>5764894
>>5764896
I also went back and redid another one of my older builds, along with giving it an actual name this time.
>>5764898
With obligatory detail shot...
>>5764900
And comparison shot.
>>5764883
>Everything is heresy. Embrace it!
THAT SOUNDS LIKE HERESY
>>5764902
This was actually an attempt to make a girl while using as few curved pieces as possible. Seems like it came out pretty alright.
>>5764909
>>5764914
Just something I noticed about the small brackets a while back; didn't make a picture of it until recently.
>>5764136
Holy shit would it be amazing to walk through that while kicking everything to bits
>>5764918
And finally, a couple of scraps that I had left over. I might come back to some of these if I get the chance.
Sorry about chewing through the image limit like that.
>>5764930
I can tell from experience that those mixel joints are not going to be able to support your spider lady.
>>5764918
Even now headlight bricks continue to surprise me.
>>5764185
I did one for a challenge too, or because someone asked for it, I don't remember
>>5764508
pics or didnt happen, I never tried to take them apart.
>>5764918
I first saw this technique in ideas ghostbuster set, and used it for my starcraft's firebat.
I can't fucking wait for August but at the same time I can't afford to buy the new wave either way.
Fucking hell.
I was trying for a tank but couldn't quite get the turret right, so here is a small surface transport sort of thing.
>>5765063
It's based on a Juniors vehicle chassis so I tried for a simple and hopefully durable build. The entire top comes off easily to get at the interior.
>>5764886
Man all of these are damn great. The ordinary cars have a lot of charm to them and the bigger vehicles are undeniably menacing.
>>5764909
This lady is neat. Too bad she doesn't seem to enthused with much!
Yo know, with LDD-to-Bricklink being easier than ever, maybe you could finally build some of these!
>>5764930
Seconding >>5764943, you're going to want to use the small snapping joints. To keep them posable, you'll want to use the 1x4 hinge joints.
Rate my micro mini jeep.
latley I've been on medical leave so I had alot of time to build Lego. I started a ninjago shelf and a new York inspired shelf if any one wants to see pics I'll post them
>>5763167
Thats a spiky jeep Doom's day has
>>5765085
Jeep looks nice, but is that a Chinese knockoff head?
>>5765108
No it's Ron from Harry Potter
>>5764886
Nice
>>5764886
These are fantastic, especially the harvester and Diesel 10.
>>5764896
>that name
Nice
Don't you just love it when you have a problem and suddenly come up with the craziest idea to solve it. Now the underside has a nice upside-down slope to it and i can get exhaust pipes that come out the trunk like that one burnout 3 car. It's also study as fuck.
Does anyone know if we'll be seeing this part in other sets in the near future?
Another great feel I recently had is finally getting that one missing part to spruce up your MOC, giving you the same excitement as if it was totally new.
I always was a bit meh feeling towards this tank, but now that it has 4 of the same legs and better structural stability my brain thinks it's awesome again.
>>5765201
The new doc ock robot thing contains four of them. Other than that it's just in the samurai x dimensions set and a lego technic snow mobile
>>5765188
hey that IS a pretty cool design.
>>5764136
>>5764960
They're friction fit, no glue at all.
I had to look online because I have no camera, but I found a custom centaur guide that had pictures.

>>5765290
Oh, I should add that just a little effort and time is needed to get the sides apart. There's absolutely no need to use a prybar or boiling the horse to take it apart.
Just work slow and wiggle the sides until you can just pull them away Pressing your fingers on the inside of the legs and releasing over and over is enough to wiggle it apart without ruining anything.
Dunno about the new horses though. I assume the back legs would make it more difficult to do.
who /can'twaitformorevolcanoshittofinnalygetrealesedintheUS/ here?
So Brickficency still works after the Bricklink redesign, right?
Because I've been hearing some stuff about it giving errors when you import a file for the list since that happened.
>>5765188
Ok this is amazing.
I am big fan of yours!
>>5765300
Because he has no klocki.
>>5765319
Brickficency has shut down and is no longer supported, even says so on the programs website. This is because the new version of bricklink basically does everything brickficency already did.
Regarding file-importing errors, an anon a few threads back worked out that if you try and upload an lxf file to bricklink with any of the newest pieces(the ones that were added in that update not long ago) in the file bricklink doesnt recognaise it.
Is metallic gold really prone to wear or is it just me? I've got some helmet visors in that color, they're starting to show wear/scratches.
>>5765432
yeah, some of mine are too

Saw the Ladybusters Ecto-1 at Wal-Mart today. The movie will likely be shite, but it does look like a solid set. Also went into the regional grocery chain super store and they'd had turned up a shitload of 30042 polybags and marked them at .99 cent. Couldn't pass on a couple of those for a buck.
>>5765733
Much like Avengers Age Of Ultron it's going to be a garbage movie that is redeemed because they made good lego stuff about it
>>5765733
Ecto-1/2 set should be out tomorrow, but the polybag is the real news. A fig plus a bunch of usable parts for less than $1! What a steal!
>>5765764
Those were my feelings on it. Figure and parts for .99? Yes, please!

>>5765987
it think this really cool. maybe the wheels a little bigger?
>>5766011
I plan to add steering and a flux capacitor. If I do, you're right, these wheels will have to go.

Do we really need another Millennium Falcon?
>>5766760
Well we got another X-Wing that blows the old one away
>>5766727
Do you mean this kind?
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=2429c01&in=S&itemYear=2016&ov=Y
>>5766764
I did mean that piece. And thank you for the link. Looks like I'm buying a droid escape pod tomorrow.
So I just made an order on Bricklink and I got the invoice which says
>Please send a grand total of (monies) to ...
There's no e-mail list.
I immediately messaged the seller asking for clarification of their e-mail for payment, but haven't heard back from them.
If I still haven't heard back from them tomorrow I'll send another message.
Has this even happened to anyone else?
>>5766867
Probably the seller just forgot to add it.
Was it a new one?
>>5766871
New seller?
No, looks like they've been selling for a while.
New mighty micros were posted.

>>5767002
prefer this Thanos to the bigfig. Iron Man mask looks great as well.
>>5767003
Oh. I guess X-Men sets are still okay to make.
>>5767009
Well, it's not like MM are licensed to any particular movie.
>>5767002
>dat gauntletmobile
>dat iron helmet
Best Marvel Micro yet.
>>5767002
I only want this for the fistmobile. Will probably sell Tony and his car on BL.
Thanos looks okay too, but I'd probably replace legs with normal ones
>>5767010
Well, neither were the Deadpool and DOFP sets, but it's been two years since the last X-Men set and I was getting worried.
I hope this means there's still a possibility of getting a Fantastic Four set somewhere down the line.
>>5767014
I'm still disappointed to see that we didn't get any Deadpool sets. Understandable because of its rating, but I still wanted to see all these cracklink people selling his only minifig getting fucked over (for a while at least).
>>5767000 (checked)
hnnnggg I feel the hole burning in my wallet already
>>5767002
That mask piece looks like it will be useful for all sorts of things... what else could they use that for?
>>5767000
I can understand why DC recycled Batman for the second wave, but I'm a bit disappointed to get another Spider-man. It's not like Marvel has a shortage of heroes
>>5767023
Batman is understandable because of its iteration, not like TLG isn't used to give us lots of Batmen, Spiderman on the other hand is hard to justify. I would've liked to see a Guardians of the Galaxy MM instead.
>>5767018
Honestly, the best chance for a Deadpool-fig right now is that they do something similar as they did with Suicide Squad.
>>5767029
Ah damn, isn't GOTG vol2 coming next year? It would have been the perfect time for a Guardians Mighty Micro.
>>5767038
It was confirmed a while back that there will be sets
>>5767002
I really hope that helmet for Ironman is going to replace the bobble head helmet..please let this be the case.
>>5766383
>obvious GL fig
You talkin' about this guy? Apparently, he's supposed to be Steven Spielberg.
>>5767041
That's nice, although my next problem would be if they do bring them to my area. So far this year they completely skipped the Elves dragons, the series 7 mixels and the CMFs previous to the Disney wave.
>>5767052
Nah, Fun in the Park George.
>>5767054
In some places Elves will be in August.
>>5767067
But that's Billy Mays, anon. He lives on.
>>5767069
fuck august, I want elves this month
I regret having seen the picture leaks months in advance

>Both the Knowhere Escape Mission and the Milano are still collecting dust in a couple for stores in my area.
Don't mean this harshly man but can we PLEASE stop using shelf life of a few straggler sets as evidence of failure?
Almost all LEGO sets except ones that were pulled out of circulation abruptly sit on shelves for a long time until they hit some arbitrary clearance threshold. Even unequivocally successful lines like Star Wars have their sets shelfwarm.
>>5767079
I just say it because in the meantime, the AoU Hulkbuster was restocked 2 times in the same store, for example.
Granted, the first batch was likely scalped, but I think thye do notice when some sets sell well and others don't. Which is what pretty much happened in regards to the mixels series.
Some stores still have an almost complete lot of series 6, which is a shame since series 7 is already out of circulation.
>>5767097
Right but I think those situations are just evidence of really successful lines, not evidence that every line that doesn't do that is a failure. Otherwise every line almost is a failure.
Also you have to compare like sets to like sets. That $30 Hulkbuster is both cheaper and more appealing to young kids than the GOTG sets mentioned. It's basically an action figure. The Knowhere Escape is a pretty crummy playset and the Milano an awesome - but expensive - spaceship.
>>5767003
that magneto head is pretty cool
>>5767173
leave the short legs on wolverine tho
New calendar!

Fuck yeah!

>>5767000
Why isn't anyone else pointing out that that's a mini fucking SPIDER-MOBILE?
>>5767624
Because we're not comic nerds.
I had a really cool good will find the other day that included all the pieces to this relic right here
RIP in pieces...
I'm selling her. I don't want to, but I really need the money. Almost a decade ago I I got it.
I've already sold off almost all my other UCS and valuable lego sets, but I saved this one for last because I really didn't want to let it go.
Anyways, does anyone have any experience selling their own lego collections? I have a shit ton of pieces, probably 300k+ I'd estimate from about 20 years of collecting that I want to sell, all completely sorted by part type. I have no idea where to begin though, which is why I've just been selling my most valuable sets individually for now.
fantastic beasts waifu confirmed for dimensions today

If you want some quick cash, just throw em all to Ebay as an unsorted lot.
Or you could set up an BL store, but managing it can take a fair share of time and effort. You would still make a bit more than from Ebay
>>5767749
Set up a bricklink store. You'll make a lot more money that you would have selling the collection in bulk.
>>5767764
>>5767768
I was thinking about bricklink, but I just don't have the time to manage a store like that. A fair amount of my pieces were from ordering on Bricklink though.
Selling it in a bulk lot would be very difficult, I'd need something like a fucking pallet to ship everything, shipping would probably be in the hundreds of dollars. I think I could make at least $12-15k from my collection alone.
I'm probably just going to continue selling it set-by set. The pain in the ass is my entire collection aside from the UCS I was selling has been disassembled and sorted.
older pic of my collection related.
>>5767749
>I don't want to, but I really need the money.
Sorry to hear that. And good luck.
If you set up a bricklink store, some proof that it's yours will help. Just a photo with a handwritten note in it should do. There've been more than a few scams with people selling the UCS Falcon cheap, then disappearing; judging by the BL forum at least people are paranoid. Though having other items/parts in your store will help.
Also if you set up a store, post link here.
>>5767782
>I was thinking about bricklink, but I just don't have the time to manage a store like that.
Might still be possible. I've seen a few 'liquidating collection, bulk purchase only' stores; you can set lot limits where people can buy only x50, x100, or all of a specific part, or a total purchase minimum.
She's got a cute hat/hair mold.
If this is actually the car that comes with Gizmo, I'm going to be mad as fuck.

>>5767819
I may just set up a store for selling the Falcon at least. Does bricklink have fees for selling, and how much faster / slower would the Falcon sell there compared to ebay?
I just don't have the time to catalog and count the hundreds of thousands of pieces I have by condition and whatnot. That entire process would take months of my time sadly.
I have everything except the box it came in which I stupidly threw out years ago. Instructions are in alright shape, and all the pieces are basically like the day I assembled it, aside from a few very minor scratches here and there from dusting it over the years. It's also a first edition (#1318) not that I know if that even makes a difference, I mean it's not like the set is unique or special in the pieces or whatever from non-first editions.
>>5767891
Selling a complete set with instructions on ebay is better than on BL, especially for movie sets - you want a stupid casual to hit the ebay BIN button, and there's no casuals on BL. Take pics of it assembled and know shipping weight for the listing and you're good. Keep the sob story short.
Your sorted fuckhuge piles pieces can be bagged and sold by the pound or approximate count pretty quick on ebay compared to BL too - you're looking to move the lot at once, not 5 now 11 next week etc. If your sorted parts are in any type of plastic drawers so much the better as you can bag the pieces in the drawers then wrap the drawers and box the whole thing up.
tl;dr ebay is your friend
