The arms look very flimsy and bare, especially with those shoulders. The overlapping chest pieces also don't do it any favors, as do the lack of fingers.

r8 my Mistika Toa reimaginings. These aren't quality drawings by any means, just an attempt to get the masks and weapons drawn.

As we all know, the Mistika Toa were among the biggest disappointments of G1. Apart from not looking much like the originals, I felt that their look didn't really have much to do with the swamp environment.

I gave Tahu a torch because it seems to match the environment better, but also looks vaguely like his 2001 weapon. The tubes on the side of the mask should look like breathing tubes, but I don't know if I got that across.

The comic panels are inconsistent in how their faces were to be interpreted. Some had the faceplate act as an upper jaw, so the print was their actual face (one of the comics depict Torch and Amazon as this), while some had the side vents be the mouth, suggesting that the Slizer head base may or may not be their actual face (see Judge in pic related). The former is pretty confusing with Turbo since he has no print. Electro has a disk that explicitly has the molded Slizer head under the visor as his face with glowing eyes. Granite and Ski were also the least ambiguous as to what their faces were.

I just chock it up to creativity with Lego.

Gali has a weapon similar to this year's Gali, though I drew this about a year ago before I saw it. Anyway, it is a staff with a hook at the end. The hook is there for obvious reasons, but also seems like a good tool for hacking through plantlife.

Given the style in 2008, her mask could probably have had a trans blue visor, the rest being opaque.

Drawing Onua's mask reminded me of ghosts/spectres from starcraft, which is probably where the sniper look on the ghost blasters came from. It seems to fit the swamp look in my mind, though I'm not sure why.

The hunched look is somewhat essential to the character, I feel. Putting new armour on (as in the canon) shouldn't change such features.

Looking at the visor prints shared by Faber not too long ago, I see the eye holes on the visors as being actual holes where the lights of their eyes shine through. We know the actual head piece doesn't have eyes, but it's clear where they would be.

I see the rest of the visor patterns as mechanical detail or simple decoration, and the vents on the sides of their heads are clearly meant to be their actual "mouths".

I love how weird they look.

It wouldn't make any sense, at least story-wise.

Never mind I figured it out :/

>Banished from his home for a crime that has been stripped from his memory, along with his true name, Dust roams the wastes of the Old Lands in daily efforts to survive. All he has now is a golden sword - a common tradition among Crej. Gold is the softest metal, and will not provide much beyond the basest defense. Among exile, the Crej provide their unwanted with a golden blade, so that they may choose to either defend themselves, or sell it to whoever else may dwell in the wastes. Dust is too proud for that, so he keeps it by his side.

So, this guy came about in a rather interesting way. Beginning of the most recent semester at University, I was dead obsessed with Slizers and Roboriders. Which is fitting, as my creative writing teacher gave us our first assignment write a 600 word story using only one syllable words. Dust was always the coolest Roborider to me, so I tried to make it into a sci-if story about an exiled alien (I changed the name though because it turns out my professor actually directed a movie called Dust) on his home world. In my head they always looked like theses weird slizer/roborider things, and this moc is a version of the main character. I changed a few things from the story (which I don't mind posting if anyone wants to read it), but I'm VERT happy with it. I need a second Dust visor tho because now my Roborider dust is faceless :(

I can see your point, the reason I'd suggest it as a set is because in back in the G1 lines there were a lot of small sets Turaga/Matoran/Rahi/Bohrok Va, and the Mask Makers are like the Turaga and since we already got the Protectors, Makuta would have made it full circle once Ekimu was released.

Here's one I made I think he's pretty cool
>>
He later became this
>>
>>5749399
1/2
I walk through the hot, dead sands of the Old Lands, as the cold steel flesh of my hands grip the blade they gave me. It’s worn. Dull. It fits me like a glove.
My mind plays the day they kicked me out. The day I was stripped of my rank, my name burnt from my mind. I hear the four words they said – “How do you plead?” But what stings is the word I spoke back to them – the word that sent me to the Wastes of the Old Lands.
All whom I knew saw me get banned. My close friend, Jreg, had a look of pure shame on his face. The Wise One spoke. “For your crimes in war, you have been banned from Vrack. We will give you a blade, scratch out the Vrack Crest from your arm, drape you in rags, and send you out to the Wastes of the Old Lands, so that you may walk to your death.” My wife, Bral, sobbed as the gates to the Old Lands split. The light of our two suns crept through, as I felt its heat through the rags. And then, they sent me out. I did not look back. It took all the strength I had not to.
I walk for what feels like years. No life. No one. I break off the branch of a Gont plant, and drink from it. Those few drops feel like a sea. It helps. But I still need food. All beasts in the Wastes will do, but I’ll need flames to cook it. And I’ll need to kill one.
The sky starts to get dark. The airs starts to cool, as does my skin. The rags they gave me help, but not by much. I fear that I will soon freeze to death. And then, far off, I see a flame.
I sprint with all my might as I try to reach the flame. Once I do, I see three beings near it. Like me, they are Crej. The scratched out brand on their arms is a match to mine – they hail from Vrack as well. One of them, a blue one, comes up to me.
“They ban you too?” She asks. I nod, but the grasp on my blade stays tight.
“Sucks. You’re free to join us, if you want. I’m Glev.” She points to the red one. “That’s Blex, and…”
>>
>>5750093
The green one, a large-built Crej, comes up to me. “I’m Craz. Who the hell are you?”
I do not speak.
“Damn it, did the sun fry your brain?” Craz asks.

“For my crimes, my name was burnt from my mind. So just call me… Ash.”
Craz steps back. Blex and Glev look shocked as well. “…What the hell did you do?”
“I… I don’t want to…”
Glev comes up to me. “It’s fine. You don’t have to tell us.” I thank her, as she guides me to the flames and hands me some meat from a cooked Merx Wolf. I set my blade on the ground and start to eat. We all three laugh. We talk. And then we sleep.
When I wake, I feel death in the air around me. I look left. A full grown Merx Wolf chews at the flesh of Glev’s corpse. Craz and Blex are but bones now. I grab my blade, which makes the Merx turn its head at me. It tilts it. It turns back and eats Glev. I take this time to grab what I can and run. The Merx Wolf stays, for it won’t hunt ash.

It's pretty obvious the moc is meant to be the main character buuuuuut yeah. I wrote this shit in like a single night and it was just so I didn't fail the first assignment of that class :P

it does seem kind of abrupt to have his friends just die like that, are they not used to living in the wilderness? You'd think they'd know how to take turns keeping watch unless they're freshly banished. But thats just the autism speaking. For something you wrote in a rush this is very good.

Im happy with it heres one its just an onua revamp but i love the carachter so much that my main moc is featuring an onua gen 3 mask.

I honestly don't know if the line is doing good or bad.

According to this thread, some countries don't get the full line and some don't get it at all. Meanwhile some countries just got the magazine, with at least one more coming up, and Lego wouldn't do it for a dying line.

What the fuck is happening with Bonkle?

Anyone outside of /biog/ try to claim they're responsible for Makooti's hammer design yet?

Curious since I 'm the anon who made it and you guys are the only ones I've shared it with.
>>
>>5751508
I posted it on my flickr and I haven't seen anyone else outside of my photostream and here use the design.

My photo has it described as "inspired by a friend's", because I love you that much, Makootianon.
>>
>>5751508
I didn't take claim for it (I posted that image), though I did forget to mention it wasn't my design I admit... I'll correct that soon.
>>
>>5751516
No, I understand that. I just imagine some little shit borrowing the build from an anon here and then trying to pawn it off as their own on Bzp or Ttv.

>>5751513
And thank you, fellow Makooti maker.

http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/22726-gorilla/

Anyone knows what backstory was given to this thing? As it seems B6 removed it for being not appropriate or something along with dark humor.
>>
>>5751528
I'm instantly assuming by the "too soon" it's poking fun at that gorilla that was kille because of the kid that fell into it's pen.

Probably something along the lines of Robocop where they made him stronger, faster, etc.
>>
>>5751528
It's based on Harambe and holy shit they're like a cult with this whole "it mustn't be named" attitude, haha.

Fill in the waist and the neck. They are too bare and gappy. Rest is nice
>>
>>5749217
I would have said to use a Hordika neck.

Other anon, i think indigo is a great builder. And incorperating tires/lego bricks/ etc. In your build is a very good idea and shows skill.(if done correctly)
>>
>>5751551
Going to need more pictures.
Who says you didnt build a car and claim it is a bioformer.
Pics or gtfo.

Making it one-handed usually works for any Bionicle weapon.

Do you think you can use wheels with tires instead of just rims?
