>Reckon robot damashii could make a good tread system? Id love an RD guntank
I think they could pull it off, but the last time an RD had treads they just molded them in place, heh.
>>5714050
Ahh, so cool! Zaku party!
And just in case anyone else was curious, here's the Zaku's Magella cannon compared to the RD Magella itself.

Hah, great shots anon.
>>5715173
Dang, awesome display!! Love how the Amuro punch contrasts with the Char kick, haha.
>>5716563
I'm jelly! But I'dve only went for it if it was in titan's colors. Unfortunately I think the Barzam qualifies as that...shame it doesn't have mk-ii option parts since the titan gundam mk-2 is objectively the best.
Is A.N.I.M.E. only for 0079 MS?
>>5717062
For now at least
>>5717062
Would it be okay to play with RDs in the bath?
>>5717070
>Pin joints on most of them
If you don't care about those rusting then it shouldn't be too bad, I remember taking some duplicate Transformers I had as a kid into the bath and they survived just fine outside of the screws rusting a bit.
>>5717198
>they only have the Gelgoog, and the Gyans left, right?
And the Zeong. For fuck's sake. Stop forgetting the Zeong.
>>5717062
>the shit that A.N.I.M.E.stands for
man, they really had to stretch into engrish for that, why did it have to be an acronym at all?
>>5717313
>>wanting an MS that can't kick
>Not wanting an RD Guntank or Zeong.
Da hell is wrong wit you?
>>5717062
Probably, if only because nothing they could release after 0079 will be able to meet sales expectations set by previous releases. I bet anything else they tried would get cancelled when it couldn't outsell MSG.
The only thing I could imagine having a chance would be TV Evas and that would be outside of the line's current market position.
>>5717198
>No idea, but I mean, they only have the Gelgoog, and the Gyans left, right?
They're pretty clearly going to milk 0079 for all it's worth. Expect tons of MSV and other redecos and possibly other mobile armors aside from the Zeong. Guntank is a shoe-in. Probably a last shooting battle damaged Gundam too. They won't let 0079 end because it accounts for most of the only RDs that aren't ending up on clearance.
Just picked up my first RD and favorite GM model. The RD line really needs more feddie grunt suits, zakus a shit.

Honestly if they go fully into MSV territory and start giving us High Mobility Zakus and Gelgoog Cannons and all that silliness I think I'd be down with it.
I'd love for them to go whole hog into anime accurate 0080 and 0083 stuff too, though. Lineart accurate Kaempfer and Hygoggs and Dom Tropens fucking when?

>>5718452
I'm still salty that Char never got his Figuarts
>>5718458
Gouf Custom. That's it. You'd think that they'd at least make a Gouf Flight Type...

Fugg DDD:
I was really hoping they'd have at least made the Ez8, or at the very least the GM and GM sniper.
Aw shiett good loot today

>>5717062
I imagine they will eventually do Zeta Gundam for the A.N.I.M.E. line.
It's possible they made the RD Zeta and MK-II different from the original lineart on purpose (much to the complaint of many on /toy/ and elsewhere) so the A.N.I.M.E. versions of them would be different looking style-wise enough that people who already have the RDs out now would be willing to buy the ANIME versions of them.
>>5720621
Wasn't the Mk-II already anime styled? If not then why did they make the hyaku shiki+quebly?
>>5720621
With the RD Mk-II being so recent AND our getting the Katoki Signature Mk-II soon, I feel like an A.N.I.M.E. version would be a bit much...
>>5721080
>Wasn't the Mk-II already anime styled?
No.
>If not then why did they make the hyaku shiki+quebly?
Eh? What does that have to with the stylization of the MKII?
I would like to see an OVA heavy arms RD, but i have no idea how popular the animation was in nipland. People in this country seemed to eat up anything wing related at the time, I remember the golden age when toy stores actually had a whole aisle of MSIAs but wing shit always sold first
>>5721325
>What does that have to with the stylization of the MKII?
I think what hes trying to say is that if they had a screen perfect accuracy line planned then why would they go through with the shiki and quebly unless they ALREADY were screen accurate. (not saying they are, just that may have been bandai's thinking when planning the anime line since figs are planned and made eons before they actually hit stores)
>>5721329
I'm not trying to sound greedy, since the Wing line was given more figures than most other lines, but damn I want more. I love the designs. I'm still pissed we didn't get a Taurus or Virgo, and they need to finish the Endless Waltz suits.
>>5721362
>the designs
the ones i dislike i very much dislike.
epyon
wing
wing zero
those three fall so flat i can't bring myself to pick them up despite enjoying the show
>>5721080
>Wasn't the Mk-II already anime styled?
I wouldn't say so

I would gladly pay godly prices for that and a tequila gundam
Why are Fafner Damashii really expensive in the after market?
>>5721759
Because most were exclusives and the ones that weren't were never reissued despite significant demand. If you are referring to Mark Nicht specifically, it was first featured as a movie villain before being used as one of the main protagonists in Exodus. As an exclusive it was made in movie villain quantities and not main protagonist quantities leading to huge inflation because of the lack of any sort of reissue or alternate version. Basically RD just ignored the Fafner line to death despite demand because they aren't from an 80s show or Gundam. They also avoided doing as much new tooling as possible meaning that Dreizehn never got made despite being one of the most popular units. They even released characters nobody cared about at the time of release just to avoid doing new tooling.
Hopefully some other company will pick up the Fafner license some day and actually give a shit about it.
Are there any Five Star Stories RD's?
>>5721382
Mk.2 is so ugly.
>>5721382
>those proportions
So glad the anime line exists. Why did they think it was a good idea to turn one of the chunkiest gundams into that lanky fuck.
>>5721372
>epyon
The Epyon RD is pretty damn amazing. All toy and model versions before the RD (and maybe the MG, ymmv) are terrible POSs. The RD was the first version of the Epyon that I felt captured that stupid 14 year old edgemaster fun in a good toy.
What are the chances of Z'gok in not Char colors happening?
>>5719089
>>5719588
Woohoo, more Zaku friends! Grats on the new additions. As for the picture stands, I think Gouf is coming with just Ramba Ral and Amuro.
>>5719975
Looking forward to 'em.
>>5723207
There are not, in fact I don't think there are any FSS toys at all. The series creator is notoriously picky about licensing merchandise for FSS.
>>5723266
Pretty much 100% given the fact they've already announced much more gimmicky repaints like Char's Dom.
It will probably be an exclusive though.
>>5717586
Welcome to the wonderful world of RDs! A standard GM (ANIME ver) is coming, probably November or December, so that's something to look forward to.
>>5723265
Man, I wish I'd picked up an Epyon when it was readily available.
>>5723266
>>5723276
I'm in agreement with anon; repaint is guaranteed though there's a high chance it'll be exclusive. Hopefully it ain't!
>>5721372
Wing is actually a really nice RD. The balance is great, and in a dynamic pose the figure really shines. Transformation is clunky, but honestly I hate the idea of transforming RDs anyways so I never bother with it.
Patiently waiting on Gouf...
>>5723358
>my arch nemesis A WALL
>>5723259
>>5723232
You know you say that, but I think it's just the fact that he's shootng with a weird lens and the legs are fully extended.
The only issues I really have with it is the head no being right, and the midsection being a bit too thin.
>>5716571
Where do you get that magellan?
Id love some vehicles for my gundam to fight
Im craving a robot damashii scale white base now
>>5723482
there was a magellean tank offered as an exclusive for the d line along with something else I blieve, forget what vehicle it was though.
See if you can find it on mandy.
>>5723491
Looked it up, came with that hard point zaku. Maybe in the future.
Is that hardpoint gundam RDs beam javellin and gundam hammer compatible with ANIME Gundam?

I can't seem to find a decent priced geara zulu anywhere, are there any kind anons selling any?
>>5724090
I want Hyaku Shiki, but I think I'd be happier with a yellow gold A.N.I.M.E. one.
>>5723521
It can hold them, yeah. The hyper hammer looks really off though because its so stylized.
>>5725241
Well, there's this thing called sumo...
>>5725388
sumo don't count, it's their job.
Hello RD General.
You guys would probably know more about finding figures than other threads here.
I would like to complete the whole MSIP line and having difficulties sourcing an F91 and a Setter.
Other than Yahoo Auctions and Mandarake, what do you think would be the best place to try and look / wait for them to pop up on?
I've been able to souce the V2, Zoloat, black Zolo and Hexa, so I really only need the two I mentioned before.
Thanks for any input.
>>5723207
There are L-Gaim RD's, which are basically proto-FSS designs by the same guy. Most are either discontinued or webshop exclusives though, so good luck getting them at a reasonable price.
>>5725277
you would, the RD currently just doesn't do it
If you are putting the command horn on the Zaku, you better spice him up with lots of gear to show he means business.
GM preorder when.
>>5725545
A few years ago I found some on eBay and they were just fine. Actually I found my F91 randomly at some creepy toy shop in the mall. MSiP are so interesting though!
>>5725941
Has anybody put two command antennae on a Zaku and called it a ZakUsagi?
I broke a beam rifle effect part off of my anime gundam, because I ham handed without thinking, am I able to message hlj for a replacement part or should i suck it up and get my hands dirty in repairing it?
>>5726037
Doesn't hurt to ask them.
>>5726037
Let us know what happens. My beam rifle effect piece broke too, and my only plan of action was to buy another figure and sell one at a reduced price because of the piece...
>>5726037
They generally don't replace things unless it's faulty out of the box, but feel free to try your luck.

Grabbed the Leprechaun at 3200JPY myself. Also lots of other various mecha items on sale so it's worth browsing if you've got the time! Considering Alter's 1/60 scale Savages, but they're dang pricey for not being all that much larger than the RD.
Also, I noticed that HLJ has Alphonse at "Order Stop" status! The Patlabor love is strong!
>>5726189
Oh geez, I get terribly nervous when a package gets misdirected across the country, and yours has gone across the world, haha. I'm sure it'll get back on track eventually, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya.
>>5729849
Hang in there anon, the Feddie grunt floodgates are about to bust open!
>>5730477
Sweet, I'll get Shining to go with my Master Gundam.
>>5730477
It seems nice, but it's nothing on the level of that sale a year back with tons of RD's at 7-15 dollars.
>>5730477
Shining Gundam is cheaper at AmiAmi
How was the Strike Nior RD? I vaguely recall hearing it wasn't good? I got the old EMSIA version and I always liked it.
>>5730477
Got Vifam to add another member to the Sunrise protagonists.
I'm looking to touch up a few tiny spots on my RD where the paint has rubbed off, are Gundam/real touch markers good enough for this purpose?
>>5730592
no one posts it here, but if you like that sort of stylization, i believe the articulation was fairly good. its also cheap if i recall.
>>5726189
Real Toronto, mongrel!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto,_New_South_Wales
>>5730592
Honestly it's a pretty good, well articulated release. People had issue with how the head ended up sculpted but I can't say I've ever found it to look bad.
Has lots of accessories, tons of articulation, and looks pretty damn nice. It's a new mold that's actually larger, but not by too much, than the old Strike mold.
>>5730592
I've heard people not liking the waist or shoulder joints. The knees and face don't look good IMO. It's less than 2000 yen on AmiAmi.
>>5730592

It's going for dirt cheap online.
>>5731110

HELL, there is a Toronto in AUS.
>>5719906
Aren't G-Fighters persona non grata due to the show's creator being forced to create them and basically purging them from the movie trilogy?
>>5732808
This is a toy line, they can use G-Fighters if they want to.
>>5732808
Yes for purists,
Not for toyfags.
>>5732808
Fuck Tomino, he also purged this from the movie trilogy. He can pretend all he likes, but it still happened.
Update on getting replacement parts from HLJ:
utterly failed, said they cannot order new parts on their behalf, so im stuck with a broken beam piece.
Unless anons here know a different way to get replacement parts; Ill probably get G3 Gundam and use that beam piece. I have to hollow out the pink beam saber out of the beam saber though.
Finally got a Drumlo, but I can't get one of the tiny wings on since it literally can't fit in the slot.
>>5733617
Buy one form Can of Beams?
He's cool and prob makes the piece you want.
>>5733734
Hamhands make me sad.
>>5733947
I already own a few Aura Battlers, placing the wings on the Drumlo is way more difficult due to the giant backpack getting in the way. The only blessing was that the peg holes had enough space to get the wings in easily, but one of the smaller ones has excess plastic on it, and combined with the fact that griping the Drumlo gets more difficult the more wings you put in, the whole thing ends up a huge pain in the ass.
I'll try to fix it once I get my exacto knife, but I wish all Dunbine backpacks worked like the Billbine.
>>5730477
>Grabbed the Leprechaun at 3200JPY myself.
Leprechaun is pretty boss. Much underrated, I think. That's a great price for it.
>>5726019
I guess ebay could be my last resort. Would honestly prefer not to deal with anyone from that site, but ehhhh.
post some badass under rated RD's
Are Rising Gundam and the Mass Production Z'gok never ever? I just ordered Shining Gundam as my first RD, and was disappointed that there was no Rising Gundam available.
>>5733617
Not RD related but I just got my SHF Riot Control Trooper in and hoo-boy is it a mess.
I'm kind of furious with Bandai, every Star Wars figure I've had to date has been perfect and the one that's a limited-run webshop exclusive is the one that came out with bootleg-tier quality control and broken everything.
Any idea on what I can do other than write off ¥7000?
>>5734593
Sell it on ebay?
>>5734598
It's far too broken for that.
>One of the knee joints doesn't fit into the thigh, just hangs off the end of it
>Kneepads refuse to stay attached
>One of the pouches fell off the moment I removed it from the tray
>They used matte black instead of gloss on the visor by accident
>White paint is the worst out of any trooper I've had so far - blotchy, paint bleed and run-off, lumpy bits, flaking off the alternate hands right out of the box, random flecks of white on most of the black sections
Before someone says 'hamhands!' I've got two of the OT troopers, two of the FO troopers, two clones and the scout trooper with bike, have posed and reposed them, set up photos with them, etc and not had a single problem with any of them.
I guess I need to try and be objective here, I've had so much stuff from Bandai from just about all of their toylines and it's all been more or less perfect that this has to be an anomaly, but I expected they'd try a little harder to keep the QC on-point for web-exclusive items.
>>5734587
G BDs will be out soon. Hope springs eternal, my nigga.
>>5734620
You mean they aren't done with G, yet?
>>5734593

>>5734612
That's why I rarely mess with exclusives. It seems like they try to shoehorn them into already-full production schedules, giving no cares because they are all already sold.

>>5735360
Don't listen to them. If you don't get the ANIME Dom first, you might as well turn in your /toy/ badge and empty your shelves onto the curb.
On the other hand, if you do get the ANIME Dom first, they'll almost entirely be a bit of a letdown after that. Hmm.
>>5735534
>Sell me on this thing. He looks cool, but I really try to avoid stuff I haven't seen the source material of.
If you haven't seen Dunbine, and don't plan on changing that, then don't waste your money. There are a shitload of cool toys out there. You don't have to own them all.
That said, the figure is large, can easily hold no end of kickass poses, has some of the nicest, tightest joints of all the RDs made to date, comes with a sword, two greneades that store in nifty spaces inside his shins, removable shield, and about six or seven hands. Easily one of the best Dunbine RDs, and in my opinion one of the best RDs of any type.
If you are a Tomino fan, you should probably grab it at this sale price. If you have no particular love for Tomino series, don't bother.
Will Z'gok be the best RD so far?
>>5735587
No because it's ugly as sin.

As for Sutherland Sieg, its exactly what it appears. Its mostly a brick, and possible poses are limited by design obviously. Still love it. Makes a nice centerpiece for the display.
Ah shit, in all honesty I wouldn't mind getting this P-bandai exclusive for the gouf effect parts.

Probably not, it should be just a straight reprint of the original figure.
>>5729849
See >>5737308 if you don't have one already. Still keep the hope alive, still at least a chance for the ECOAS Jegans. For the ANIME line, after seeing the Zeon MSV figures; suspecting Bandai may attempt the original GM Sniper to balance the line a bit afterwards. Though straight up hoping we could get the Katoki redesign in a Ka Signature release...
>>5737308
>>5737632
I'd doubt it, at most maybe thicker paint applications; but updated joints and tooling. Would inflate the cost most likely, actually surprised it hasn't a little in fact hahaha!
Still if my situation was better, would try for two of these; and replace the one I gave up. My intro figure to the RD line, and still a really fun figure to this day!
>>5737757
>For the ANIME line, after seeing the Zeon MSV figures; suspecting Bandai may attempt the original GM Sniper to balance the line a bit afterwards.
Yes, please.
>>5737807
I'm hoping for a full armor gundam like they did for the msia line
>>5737706
Funny, I'm waiting on his glorious predecessor, though I doubt he'll have a journey 'round the world, as he's already reached the states. Congrats on him finally arriving, anon.
I'm kind of curious on the general consensus on this, now that I think about it. Between Shining and God Gundam, which do you guys like more?
strawpoll.me/10504443
So this guy's looking boss. He has a paltry amount of accessories though. I guess they expect us to have all the other Zaku's if we're getting this one too?
>>5737899
Pic of accessories.
>>5737907
I already have a paid-in-full pre order, it's easily my favorite Zaku color scheme.
jesus christ these leos can do anything
>>5737033
It's an older damashii so slightly smaller than recent releases. Articulation's pretty good though the skirt armor can sometimes get in the way.
Still one of my favorite designs and looks really cool on the shelf.
>>5737901
goddamn, nippon-yasan is killing me on this, is there a cheaper place to preorder it?
>>5738207
Pretty much the same price everywhere. MyKombini is cheaper but only by 100 yen
>>5737901
I really truly hope we can wrangle a desert camo zaku like the msia line, that would make my day.
>>5738207
Honestly Nippon-Yasan doesn't tend to do much overhead on middle-manning web exclusives. I don't think you're going to find much better except maybe a few bucks better on shipping at best.
>>5738071
That's fucking cool. It reminds me of how the HGUC Z'gok can handstand.
>>5738503
Whoever gets a RD Z'gok first on here needs to hand stand it
>>5738518
>RD Z'gok
Does such exist outside of Char's? I would love a Mass Production Version Z'gok release.
Just got my A.N.I.M.E RX-78-2, the rest of the line is coming soon.
God damn the engineering on this is amazing, I already love it and really can't wait for more
>>5738071
>>5737899
>I guess they expect us to have all the other Zaku's if we're getting this one too?
thats how it usually is. see the leo releases and their option sets
Can someone give me a quick recap on this mobile suit?
Love the look but never watched Gundam Zeta
>>5738804
What do you want to know? It has wing binders for shoulders, 10 funnels in its badonkadonk, guns/sabers built into its wrists and doesn't afraid of anything.
>>5738804
It's piloted by pic-related.
>>5738842
That's all he needs to know, really.
>>5738856
>giving me the (you)
C'mon man.
I mean shit, why wouldn't you just buy it? You don't have to tell us anything. Enjoy the toy.
Did i do good? I saw dis in akihabara and remembered that it usually goes for $85 or so I figured that it was worth it. They had the barzam for the same price but i figure we'll get a lot of that somewhere down the line.
>>5738870
pretty gud.
post some pics, i've been curious about if hes top heavy
Nuu's got his funnel butt review up:

What's the general consensus on the Epyon figure?
Does it still hold up after all of these years?
>>5739080
Yeah, it's a good representation of the suit and hands down the best Epyon toy out there.
>>5737899
Already preordered!
>>5739080
The backpack attaching to the back of the figure can be a bit loose, but is easily fixed by your peg/joint tightening method of choice. This only really matters because that's where the tamashii stand connector attaches to, just to be clear.
Beyond that? It's about as good a representation of the design as you could hope for. I have no issues with the molding or posability on mine, and they even include regular and super-huge beam saber effects.
>>5738870
How much did you pay? My phone won't display the image.
When was this beautiful motherfucker revealed? All the RD I want at the moment seem to be in limbo.
>There is no winner of this fight as I collapse, now exhausted.
>I look up to the stars above....
>...and don't even have the strength to cry.
>I don't need, don't need yesterday anymore.
>I don't need dreams that have crumbled away.
>I'VE GOT A BAAAAAHNING HEEEAART!
>I just wanna keep on running!
>Just chasing the thrill that's shooting through my heart!
>feeling's that you just can't describe with words...
>....are enough to ignite even a frozen heart!
>I'VE GOT A BAAAAAHNING LOVE!
>BURNING WITH SHINING BLUE FIRE!
>Fire that will spread until it covers all the stars in the sky!
>I'VE GOT A BAAAAHNING HEAAART!
>Love is such a lonely battle.....
>....but is it one that will consume the world in flames?
Are there any Stardust Memory RD's? I've been looking through their site and haven't seen any.
So, is it normal for a RD to have super loose legs? I just got Shining Gundam, and I can move his legs around just by swaying him in the air.
>>5739412
>>5739475
I know your pain.
>>5739484
Fuck. His legs can't even support his own weight. What the fuck?
>>5739475
>I'VE GOT A BURNIN SHAAAAAAART!
>My asshole is on fire!
>I've got a burnin' shart...
>...and it fuckin' hurts when I peeeeeeeeeeeee!
>>5739557
What can I do? I don't want to spend ¥4100 on a figure that can't even stand up.
>>5737706
Had some time to sit down and play with this figure today, it's really nice.
>>5739592
>>5739593
and the fireball effect will work nicely with lots of other RDs
>>5739623
¥2100 price on AmiAmi, ¥2000 shipping for EMS. I don't really feel like it was worth paying for EMS at this point, but I don't know if AmiAmi does return/exchanges, or whether it would be worth it to try again at this point.
>>5739557
Does Bandai hate G Gundam for some arbitrary reason?
>>5739645
They do but it's on a case by case basis, usually only for serious defects and they require a copious amount of visual evidence to back up whatever claim you're making. I doubt they'd consider wobbly legs as a defect worth replacing but you wont know until you try, anon.
>>5739710
Jesus... Is HLJ any better on that front? This turn of events has just made me sad. I just wanted my favorite Gundam to display with my other figures...
>>5739598
Oh Drumlo. You always make me smile.
>>5739592
Oh shit. I didn't realize it was the Hyper Mode version. Good shit, anon.
>>5739718
You could always sell that one (at a discount on account of the legs) and put that money towards buying another. Sure you'll be out of pocket a couple extra bucks depending on what you sell the figure for but at least you'll have one that can stand up straight.
>>5739564
Is it just that the hip ballsockets are loose, or is there somewhere else that it's loose at? If it's just a ball and socket joint it's an easy fix.
>>5739938
I've thought about doing that, to be honest. I may still, though AmiAmi has requested a video to show what's wrong with the figure. I'll see where that goes.
>>5740023
Yeah, his legs wobble around because either the hip ball I too small, or the leg socket is too big. If there's an easy way to fix it that will pretty much last the life of the figure, I'm open to hearing it, seeing as how I spent like $40 on him.
>>5739718
HLJ customer service is pretty outstanding in my experience. No idea why people insist on sticking with AmiAmi when there's barely a difference in price at this point.
>>5740623
Tell that to the anon who got billed twice for one order a couple months back.
>>5739412
>When was this beautiful motherfucker revealed?
Literally at the start of the RD line
>>5740687
So Stardust Memory is never ever status?
>>5738804
It's the manifestation of the fury of a woman scorned
>>5739080
Epyon is fucking epic, easily in my top ten out of about my 50 RD collection
good luck finding him at a cheap price though
>>5739592
fireball included?
>>5740768
Yes it is
>>5740805
nice
I mean I like that destiny impulse is getting released but more than anything I feel the destiny gundam could use an updated release, all of the smaller robot spirits that still used vinyl parts do.
>>5740915
Does P-Bandai exclusive mean no gaijins?
>>5741640
No it means time to jew gaijins
Midtown Comics had their monthly warehouse sale, and today they finally have some Tamashii Nation stuff.
I've been waiting forever for this figure. Chestbreak Virsago has been my guilty pleasure and my favorite unit to use in Gundam VS. Sure, he screams EPYON + ALTRON OG CONTENT DO NOT STEAL, but it does not disappoint. The arms are just really fun to mess with.
>>5723521
Theres collections and then theres obsessions.
>>5741800
Preach it, man. I feel that Virsago CB is one of the RD line's underappreciated gems. It does everything it needs to perfectly. I just hope Bandai already gets around to making the Ashtaron HC, even if it's an exclusive.
I finally ordered myself a Dom.
>>5743900
I did too! But I'm not getting it for another 3 months.
