Good grief, that is a disappointing amount of accessories, and a wasted opportunity for what could have been a cool R2 figure with a light up feature and other gimmicks. That pull back motor base is ugly as fuck too.

It's quite skinny and a little too stylized. The cape is also a disaster.

My main gripe is the cape. Fuck the cape.
It's riddled with revoltech joints for added posability but in reality it just looks ugly as fuck and can only really hinge up and down.
A cloth cape lined with a wire would have done the job without ruining the aesthetics of the figure.
The proportions are stylized so he looks skinny and cartoonish, I didn't mind this so much with Revoltech Boba Fett but Vader just looks silly.
I can't get him to do 2-handed lightsaber poses without his hands popping off or his arms coming apart. To top it off, he looks awkward as fuck in most dynamic poses, so all of that added shit for the sake of articulation is wasted.

Yeah, Mafex doesn't seem to sell out like Figma and Figuarts. The line hasn't really caught on as well as the others. Pretty much all of their currently released figures aside from Spiderman are still available on AmiAmi at normal prices.

Few if any imports are worth pre-ordering, aside from web shop exclusives. It's just a routine that people like to use to get themselves hyped for releases, or if they constantly utilize things like Private Warehouse they like the automatic nature of it. You hit the nail on the head. Light and composition are 80% of the wow factor, what camera you use doesn't even make a difference on 1080p displays. 12mp ep3 for $99 and 42mp a7rii for $1999, no difference at web size
