Hey this is just a shot in the dark but I was wondering what your experiences with box damage were with this line.
Well there was no damage to the outer cardboard box but the plastic tray has a tear in it and I've had noticeably more difficulty than usual when removing the figure and placing it back into the tray.
Do you think this is enough reason to justify a return/exchange? Just trying to gauge some opinions here before I make an absolute gaijin-monkey out of myself in the eyes of a particular online retailer.

Had a bit of a problem with my Scout Trooper. One of the hands wouldn't go on and after wrestling with it for 5 minutes I was finally able to force it. Upon removing the hand to my horror I could see on the wrist joint where it was noticeably lighter. It looks grey in one spot (it's a black joint if you don't know). Is this a sign of stress to the joint? Have my actions doomed the joint to eventually break? I've had no more trouble with the hands so far, but that hasn't helped me cope with this lingering fear...
You've gotta understand that this is a relatively expensive figure to replace. Bandai really should have done a single packed Scout Trooper.

Metal Heroes I'd say aren't in a bad spot, the Winspector trio and the pack accessories. As for SS KR, they're going at a pretty quick; Decade, Kabuto rerelease, Gattack, 2 Kuugas, Double. Daguva and Diend or even Kabuto/Decade upgrades could still come up this year.

Basically, I'd love to see the figuarts crew take a page from Banpresto and make a J Stars line for SHF. That would pretty much be the greatest reveal they could ever do.
Having it so that the headliners of the past and present can be brought in under one umbrella imprint without needing to be tied to multiple sub-lines would allow them to produce basically the greatest series of figures imaginable.
I mean, just imagine a line that could have BoBoBo, Arale, Yu Yu Hakusho, and HXH without needing to take on the costs of having them all in separate lines.

Stark and the Hall of Armor were lost behind Civil War stuff. Bakuon doubled it's line. People thought AOTC Obi Wan was dead. Previewing a figure is great but previews don't always release.

All things considered, this was a HUGE Features event. Features aren't really grand events. Really, Tamashii Nations' biggest event is the self titled one at the end of every October. They rarely do anything grand for Wonfes either. They really bank on that just that one event. It is pretty annoying.
I guess since they have so many IPs and their respective fanbases' attention, I guess they decided to makes this Features more important. Even with early reveals, this was collectively a big slew of info we don't see often coming out Babdai's Tamashii Nations' vault at this time of year.
I hope maybe they will rework Features to be a 2nd big event occuring at the opposite end of the yearly cycle from their October one. One big event is not enough now.
I'm personally very happy with it. Really the only thing I asked for that was not there was CW Spider-man. Granted, I'm not sure if Bandai was told of Spider-man being in CW early enough to make a prototype for this event. Sony's hand in movie Spider-man could also be an issue for licensing, but then again I don't see Sony having any issue with Bandai. All-in-all, I'll be happy if he gets done at all

A lot of that stuff was already known, though. Release dates are cool and all but events always have that awesome "what could we be getting next?" feel where shit just happens. WWE reveal was cool, the Active Raid shit was nice. Suicide Squad was neat but they already told us that they had more DC shit in the pipeline, so it's not surprising.

I don't know about that, the Mk 3 is pretty different even from the the suits that came directly after it. Much more simple and streamlined, more rounder and less cluttered. I think a lot of people where unsatisfied with the IM3's Mk42, the Figuarts Mk 6 is a bit dated by now, and the MK 45/46, while good, suffer from concessions made to the articulation.
Plus Iron Man 1 is the one IM movie everyone agrees was good. And with it being almost 8 years ago, there's nostalgia attached to it.

They've always been playing catch up. First they made a few Iron Man suits, by the time they got to Avengers it was last summer. They did Hulkbuster and Ultron as timely as they could and now the rest of the year is Civil War and an old Avenger.

I tried translating what he said about Ultron (google translate anyway) but basically he says it's alright but the shoulders are shit to the point that they're limited because of the design (which the Revoltech hilariously solved the issue with). If anything, he said Ultron just makes him want a Figuarts Endoskeleton from Terminator. I should mention I'm not being an asshole towards the Figuarts Ultron since I actually have this fucker on order so this makes it all the more disappointing for me (though I do have the Revoltech at least).
As for the others, I wouldn't worry as much. Ultron didn't look good in the promos whereas Widow and Black Panther actually look promising (save for the lack of claws on T'Challa).

Mainly the popular ones, the worst I've seen is the old Dragonball ones like Trunks who would get up to 30/40k jpy. An unpopular or average figure can drop or remain the same. For premium releases you'll need to use a middleman; for standard releases the general retail sites are fine and will generally have discounts. Amiami currently has the pink one at 18% off for instance. Of course for extremely popular releases, like Tony Stark or SS Double last week, they sold out in minutes from most sites.
