You can if you buy the SHFs, they're all overpainted with a high-gloss white (eggshell matte in the case of the clones).

In general? Yes, it's probably the best Star Wars toyline to date.
In terms of the OT Troopers? I like them, but I'm perverse like that. They do have some serious accuracy issues and very limited forward hip motion, but on the other hand they're really nicely-made. I wouldn't pay more than $50-60 for one though.

This just sounds like bitter tear make believe from an angry collector.
Hasbro wasn't having much success with the 5 PoA toys in the first place and there's no way Hasbro would have not want to make money back from already made molds for newer figures.
Most times, exclusives are made because other stores don't want to carry the line, thus they make a deal with a single chain to carry the line for the added bonus of more foot traffic. So even if other stores might have wanted it, they actually make more money from the exclusive store ordering more of their products.
