There were so many Finns and Resistance Troopers on the pegs at Walmart thay they didn't even bother to take the new figures out of the box. Found a bunch of Flametroopers, two Phasmas, a Jango, and an FN-2187
Not collecting 6" figures but if I see her, I'm not even gonna second guess. Mainly because we won't ever get another decent 3.75" figure of her. Fuck Hasbro.

I genuinely don't understand the hype people have for the figure in the OP, all of the examples I've seen so far have had sloppy paint apps on the head-tails and face. The articulation from what I've seen in reviews looks average even for Black Series. Why anyone would pay more than the MSRP for her is beyond me.

sure, but who really cares what a committee of business men want to establish as canon? the story group or whatever they're called only take orders from their Disney bosses. Before the company got sold, there were no issues with the previous established tiers of canon and the EU was in fact, consistently heavily endorsed since way back to even months, weeks before the buy-out. So if the company would still be owned by Lucas and this same decision would have been made, I wouldn't really have as big of an issue with it because it would be a self-defeating and illogical move, something that would have only been done to make way for something more important. But as the situation currently exists, Lucasfilm now has a new owner that is eager to make their money back, preferably fast. This causes the new owners creative & business decisions to not hold as much weight as that of the previous leadership. New creative decisions and ideas that have been and are to be set in motion, simply aren't as calculated or educated (in creative-terms) as they were before the Disney buy-out. Regardless of whether one approves of them or not.
The atmosphere connecting the fans and Star Wars has been muddled by an outside force, a new air of money-driven inauthenticity (which is always the case with every company to some extent, but now more than ever) and this has severely diminished the weight of definitions such as 'canon' among older, more established fans. Canon gets altered all the time in various ways in different fiction and the reaction is almost always lukewarm among certain groups of fans. But when sudden creative decisions are spawned by something as obvious as the result of transferring the ownership of a company, you can't really except hardcore fans to jump aboard whatever new shit gets thrown next to them, because they are aware of the circumstances which spawned the new sudden turn of direction.
