Hold up, do Swindle and Brawl share the same HFG?
>>
>>5612149
I think so? The gun cannons look pretty similar at least.
>>
>>5612149
The cannon pieces are identical, but Brawl's looks more like an engine block, and Swindle's is more like a gas tank.

Thanks, I quite like the HFGs, but I'd rather official more stable and dedicated hands/feet came out, currentely there's two of those, right? the ones with Victorion, and hasbro Computron? (I thought Liokaizer would as well going by the box art, but the preview picture says otherwise) the feet look good, but the hands are pretty weak.

You just put a little piece of folded up paper behind the ratchet tooth, right?

I don't have Skylynx yet. Do you have to knock out pins or any ridiculous shit like that? I had to do that for my Motormaster to tighten his front/back hip ratchets.
>>
>>5612189
You need one Phillips head screwdriver, one TINY Phillips head, but that's it, total of 4 screws.

I used small plastic strips but yeah, same idea . you need to pop out the ratchets and put something behind them. The other key component is screwing it back together very tightly so there isn't any give in the ratchets

Takara should use Combiner Wars/UW and the fact that they have two drill tank molds to use to do a Brave homage line, like the pitched "Braveformers". Give everyone handsome new facesculpts and maybe add some lionheads(or even Legends that form animal head chests.)

I can't find the image, but it was basically toys from the 2010 line done up in homage to Brave characters and Brave tropes, pitched to Takara as a way to localize those toys .It worked extremely well considering how stylistically different those toys are from Brave. Scramble city updates; arguably an "ancestor" to Brave, would look even more fitting.

i call bullshit on the greebles because CW has just as much as standard 3rd party toys.
>>
>>5612549
Quality can be a bit of a crapshoot, too. Sometimes we get stuff that's higher quality than what HasTak's putting out, sometimes we get shit like most of KFC's figures and Apollyon.
>>

That and we do have alot of Hasbro loyalists here I think.
>>
>>5612555
There is no such thing as Hasbro loyalists, anon. Just like there's no domestic beer enthusiasts. There's just people who get annoyed by people who keep insisting Takara or 3rd party toys are better and getting Hasbro makes you a loser when they just buy Hasbro.

For the record I've probably bought more Takara than Hasbro in the last few years, not that that's much.

>>5612549
>is the only reason people hate 3rd party is because the prices?

The prices are high, and the quality can be a real toss of the dice. Those aren't reasons to hate them per se, at least, not all of them. Some are amazingly high quality, but it's also easy to get a shit figure if you don't research properly what is actually good.

Most of the shit against them here is just trolls trying to stir shit, in the same way threads occasionally go for 100 posts of people acting purely retarded.
>>
>>5612549
>i call bullshit on the greebles because CW has just as much as standard 3rd party toys.

Actually that's a major reason I'm turned off by TR. This new design team seems to be going for a 3rd party style with a lot of these new toys I just don't find appealing.

Explaining why certain greebling looks bad to people who aren't necessarily design inclined is like explaining sound to the deaf. If you like it you like it, even if I don't. That said, I do think there's something to be said that when most Japanese mecha sculpts do greebling, its done considerably different than he type found in a lot of 3rd party figures. For one they tend to rely on a lot of hard angles and lines rather than varying things up with curved shapes and smooth areas. Japanese companies have defined what high-end robot toys look like for years and a lot of 3Ps stick out like a sore thumb. For the price I'd usually rather stick with Chogokin of Macross stuff.

Still, I'm not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, because a lot of 3Ps are getting a lot better and producing nicer work. The Quake-Shockwaves, for example, looked spectacular. I also thing the Giga Dinobots looked really good, as does that Liokaiser. There's a few more, too. also I do like original designs like Steel Core. I'd actually rather some 3Ps do original designs like that, I'd rather havecertain 3Ps, like the one behind SC, do their own ideas with their own style, than attempt to do Classics style stuff because they tend to look off.

>>
>>5612571
Basically people just saw 4 guys buy up the last of the stock. someone claims they later saw one at the BBTS table.

I don't think the "big two", TFSource or BBTS, have put Megatron up on their websites yet. Its even possible the scalpers will just sit on Megatron for a while to keep the price high. The Megatron in your pic reaches over a grand so I can see this MEgatron reaching that high; or even higher.

The greebling thing I think is entirely subjective. There are people who love the intricately-detailed look, and there are those who prefer the 80s-boxes look.

Personally, I'm very much into the way these TR figures look. Maybe it's because I grew up with the Unicron Trilogy -- where plenty of designs had greeble detail -- and started collecting because of the Bay movies.

Yep, but I'd say its reached its peak, and we'll probably see a slow decent in prices. This so too fucking common with this general. I don't think so, but they were going to have a version of Onslaught where the Bruticus chest would be the colour of Onslaught's brown/green.

I'm looking at getting the DNA upgrade kit because I think it meshes the best And looks the best.

I've always thought the RM robot mode looked like shit compared to the Ultra. It looks very stubby and deformed. If you're pouring $45 into it I think you'd be better off just buying the MP, i'll be much better in the long run even if you never transform it. The MP seems to be just a bit smaller than the original Ultra so maybe it'd scale nice with Big Convoy too, though not as well as the RM.
>>
>>5612549

nope, it's cause they suck.
>>
>>5613183
He's very stable, looks great and commands respect. He's also pretty fun to mess with. He has a lot of tiny tabs and thin plastics, but if you don't put stress on them they'll hold. Basically remain alert when transforming him and make sure you don't absentmindedly try to move parts while the tabs are still in them.

I paid about $270nz for him, and I'm happy.
>>
>>5613183
Only thing I'd worry about is the hollow tab that connects Hook's legs together for transformation. Everything else feels reasonably sturdy.

Starscream already had his moment when he used Metalhawk's absurd arm kibble to cleave Drift's old boss's head in half.
I feel like the person that does in Tarn will be either Megatron, verbally or physically breaking Tarn to the point of suicide, or Rodimus actually taking initiative on something for once and saving his co-captain.

Soundwave actually showed up in one of the more recent episodes and whipped the team's ass for most of the episode by himself before they managed to toss him back into the shadowzone.

Deluxe, since we've never had a classics voyager Seeker. I have no idea why, you'd think there'd at least be a Starscream.

Really? I just started the show since its on Netflix so I'll look forward to that.

This show has changed the way I look at the figures I have from the line though.

Now I wish steeljaw's figure was good.

Dear Diary,
Today I broke out of the Autobot junkyard prison. I met some crazy frogbot and told I'd lead him to a secret city of treasure. We stole a tank and had a road trip to Cancun. He never did find that treasure.

Love
Quillfire.

But it's still a minicon.

I'd like a follow up on Airachnid simply because she needs to die badly. She shitted up Knockout's life partner and then some how became a zombie vampire, but then Soundwave just portal'd her and her army to a moon.

There's a difference between soundwave's surveillance pet and a RID minicon.
