So I just bought myself those baby dragons from the Elves line this morning. Not even into the series but Jesus fuck they are just the cutest little things. The Miku one in particular has one of my favorite color schemes since she reminds me of the Seacons from Transformers and just looks so vibrant and poppy.

Anyone else loving the little buggers? I never really cared for any of the weird "cutesy" animals that the Friends themes have been doing but these guys just bring me back to when the Mega Bloks Dragons lines were in full swing and I just adore them.
>>
>>5590323
You gotta get Ultimate Lance when he comes out for that arctic Batman, the trans-white armor will look great.

I love how the armor pieces seem to fit perfectly with superheroes and their logo's.

Now we just need Power Girl and her cleavage window...

Decided I'd go for a fully brick built figure, atleast then he can be huge!

First pass of the model, mostly going off how I remember him looking, going to do a second pass once I get together more reference material.

I can tell I'll be fucked for colours when I go to build this thing.
>>
>>5591146

When I make him IRL the purple 2x1s will be replaced with single legs from the original figure.

If anyone can suggest improvements feel free!

Sad thing is all I have to work with is an older Motorola Photon 4G smart phone, thus why my pics are never done well. I know, I can probably help alleviate some of it with something like photoshop, but sadly I dont have it installed and have ZERO experience with it.

Actually working on getting a larger space to take pics and a lightbox though, and there was some talk of my GF possibly getting her brothers old DSLR camera, so there is hope at least.

A few months ago, an Anon posted about how when he was a kid, he use to imagine that minifigs were kinky, sexual deviants. He spoke about how he'd imagine the minifigs on boxes and in catalogs/magazines were up to kinky shit and that was the reason most of them were smiling.

He gave an example using the recently released Ferry set (60119). He said that if he saw that as a kid, he'd have thought that the ferry captain had fucked the woman during the crossing and was now smiling because he had got her number and was looking forward to fucking her again later.

So if that Anon is still lurking, I just have a quick message.
FUCK YOU!
I can't look at sets like >>5591409 the same anymore.
I saw the RV and I thought that's a great set, then I read you post and from then on when ever I've seen the RV I can't help but think that there's some shota shit going on. That some Lego woman has either kidnapped some random boy, or taken her own son out on the road so that she can fuck him.

Serieusly fuck you for making my mind dirtier then what it was.

So I ordered some stuff on BL 2 months ago and paid that same day. It was "shipped", or at least marked as such, a week later.
4 weeks ago I sent a message to the seller, asking for a tracking number, which he claimed to have included in the shipping, as I was yet to receive my order. I got no reply, so I messaged him again the following week.
I sent a 3rd message last week, having still not heard back from him, let alone received my order. This message was brisk and upfront, informing him that if I had not received my order or at the very least a reply, within the next week, then I would be leaving negative feedback.

It's been a week now since I said that message and still nothing. He's logged into BrinkLink a number of times since my first message, but each one of my messaged say they have not been read, including the last which I marked as high priority.

Is there anything else I can do? Would it be appropriate to file a Non-Shipping Seller Alert? What will that involve? And would it be reasonable to file the NSS and follow through with my threat/promise/warning and leave negative feedback?

It was basically the same story as the show but it had additional chapter with knights going on vacation.
Macy was wearing light red one-piece swimsuit with floral pattern.

You're buying bootlegs that will hurt your hands to assemble, are manufactured with no oversight for toxicity, and don't look like genuine Lego parts.

That said, if you realize all this and don't mind supporting slave labor, go for it. I bought some on a lark, since five bucks is five bucks.

Arigato, anon-san
>>
>>5592284
As someone who has bought a bunch from them, allow me.

Great prices.

Parts DO kind of have a different feel to them (although ive seen several people say you can wash them, its almost like they have a film on them from production) and you CAN run into some that dont fit together well (These were a set where its like "4 super hero figs and their useless confusing choices for vehicles, like captain america and his....go-kart of justice...."), but one of the bigger sets I got, a knock-off v-wing, the parts fit snugger than actual lego does, so your mileage may vary.

Colors may be a bit off. Depends on manufacturer really, but the good news is a lot of it is so cheap, you can afford to risk it a bit.

MOST of the single figs are perfect. Great prints, sturdy as fuck, and tons of characters and versions that NEVER got an official release and probably never will. Only figures I bought that were off were a set of trans-colored minifigures, THOSE were definitely brittle feeling and their arms fall off if you move them too much. Also any iron mans you get, they can either suffer from long neck syndrome, and for some reason china can NOT print tony starks face right. Always too high up on the head.

Shipping can and WILL take forever. Youre probably looking at at LEAST a month wait, but its the price we pay for getting knockoffs all day.

AH, I can tell you for SURE the Revan is worth it, as that was one of the first figs I bought from Ali. payed about .80 cents for him, and he was PERFECT, EXCEPT the blade for his light saber was off, it was a MUCH lighter red. Replaced it with a standard lego blade and he was good to go!

Theres a guy that makes MST3K bots here locally. You can find them on ebay, he does batches of both kits and pre-assembled ones. They are pretty expensive, but so fucking worth it if you are a fan, and yes, they are fully functional puppets. I swear, the guy had access to the original at some point, and I am pretty sure he even got one of his letters read on an early episode of MST3K back in the day (How often is Ypsilanti Michigan ever mention in ANYTHING?)

MST3K (Mystery Science Theater 3000) is an old show where the cast would riff on shitty old 50s, 60s, and 70s B-tier horror and sci-fi movies.

There were two main guys, Joel in the earlier seasons, and Mike in the later seasons. Basically, it was a skit show where one of the guys was stuck in space with a bunch of robots, and they would get sent really awful movies by goofy villains and they had to watch the shitty movies.

But they just sat around riffing the movies and making fun of how bad they were.
>>
>>5592607
that doesn't sound very fun. its like watching someone talk while playing a video game and commentate on it
>>
>>5592609
The thing is, you're not watching someone watch a movie
You're watching some watch a completely awful movie and make it relatively enjoyable
THAT takes some effort

i think >>5591868 might be your best bet with arms
the problem with them being that at this scale is, the real biggest you can get an actual hand is the clamp you already used. so you're either going to use it, or do a simple mixel arm like either of these
(the dark grey on the blue mixel is a male tow ball, but the same piece exists in female, i just was too lazy to find one)

i personally would go with your earlier non towball option though, unless you really want him to have a range of motion/expression
>>
>>5593459
Looking good. Maybe overkill on the streetlamps, though, and similarly you could perhaps add some additional, though not too extensive, wear and tear to the graveyard and road.

On the other hand, I love Nexo Knights, and all I have to get are Infernox Saves the Queen, Lance's Mecha Horse, Library, Fortrex, Ultimate Beast Master, Ultimate Robin, Ultimate Lavaria and Jestro's Mobile. >auto-levels, or something more complicated?

My usual routine is:
>1. Auto Contrast
>2. adjust black level using black eyedropper tool
>3. increase brightness and contrast sliders

When shooting fluorescent reactive things like Deep Shaft 8, I've started using the Hue/Saturation adjustments to first completely desaturate the blues, then darken the blues until they match the area around them. This gets rid of the reflections of visible blue light that are otherwise visible on the minifigs and backgrounds. Unfortunately, this cheap fix doesn't work when there's any actual blue pieces in the shot.

I've been struggling with the parts selection i have to build some stuff. I had these two giant six wide inverted slopes and thought about using them for roofing or a boat. The baggy also came with the giant trans neon green windshield and the printed slopes.

>the wheels on it are just temp

Waaait, I just noticed that that the tread, diameter and the whole having six holes thing suggests you didn't use the actual 8448 wheels.

And I wouldn't blame you. If you want the spoked effect in your picture there, your best bet is to try the hubcap thing you suggested with custom stickers, because when it comes to wheels and styling, your options are severely limited by what is available.

Because unfortunately they were part of a line of lego that was only 'pretty decent' at best. Exo Force was never a spectacular theme, but nor was it The Last Air Bender levels of shit either. It was pretty run-of-the-mill as far as themes go, so everything good about has mostly been forgotten.

Let's talk LEGO castles.

I've been wanting to get myself a LEGO castle, it just feels like if you like LEGO you gotta have a LEGO castle. I've narrowed down my choices to these three - Black Knight's Castle, Royal Knight's Castle and LOTR Helm's Deep.

The two first one is awesome because they're nostalgic and form a complete castle. They're embodiment of the old comfy LEGO-style. However, I do not own them so I would have to buy them. Helm's Deep isn't a complete castle, but I do own it (haven't opened it) and I also really like LOTR.

What do you think? Any awesome castle I've completely missed?

6081 - King's Mountain Fortress is an icon of the era, a nice display piece, features a ghost and a maiden, and the unique to the set black bird.

However, the interior is essentially a drawbridge, a ramp, a prison cell, and a trap door storage area.

70404 - King's Castle is from the much maligned 2013 Castle line, but is in fact a solid castle on it's own. Large and not featuring a baseplate to artificially inflate it's size, it's semi-modular, and can be combined with 70402 - The Gatehouse Raid to make it somewhat bigger and give it a side gate. If funding is not an issue, consider getting two, and building the castle walls up another level of height for a truly impressive display piece.

On the negative side, this castle features little interior detail, with just a corner prison, small throne room, and a treasure chamber. The castle is largely just walls. This could be a boon however if you would like to add your own features to the castle, as there is little getting in the way of a bit of creativity.

When there is an empty space, its a man's job to fill it.

I may need to revise the Razorback-like and Ontos-like variants though. Maybe give them pop-up turrets or something/

I mean, Nexo series is nice, but what else? Elves? Nice design, but figs are horrible. Mixels? Basically just containers for balljoints and other interesting pieces. What was the last time you saw Lego set and went full retard "I totally have to buy this shit even if I have nothing to eat"?
>>
>>5596885
i still have to watch that movie.

I think the first and last time I saw it was in 1996.

>How the fuck do they let this happen?
These only fly in China and China-like countries, because they have next to nothing when it comes to copyright protection laws. As long as the box doesn't say "LEGO" on it, the Chinese government says it's OK.

This would never make it to market in the countries where protections exist.
>>
>>5596952
It's not so much that they don't have copyright laws, it's more that the Chinese government turns a blind eye to this sort of thing because it makes them/their people money.

If Lego was a Chinese company and a bunch of Mexicans started making bootlegs, the Chinese Government would probably throw a shitfit.

But as long as the they can make money off of bootlegs through tax, the government will gladly let it continue and even step in to defend it.

>>5596963
>tfw your country will never ever have as much creative freedom as china
Good.
Because there is no such thing as creative freedom in China. Just look at all the artists and writers that are either arrested on trumped up charges. Hell just look at the fact that the Chinese government put a ban on all TV shows, movies and books featuring time-travel a few years ago.
>>
>>5596074
Those are allegedly legitimate Lego boxes with the Chinese company's logo pasted over the actual logo.

But only some Chinese brands violate IP. The patent on lego bricks has expired so you could sell Gudi and Star Diamond etc without being sued.

Yeah, but the only sets they can sell in the US, etc. are the ones that aren't direct ripoffs of genuine Lego sets. Those "CREATORS" and "NEXTO KNIGHTS" wouldn't fly in the States.

>Is the back a hassle to deal with?

Not at all. I'd get one or two, they're cheap and excellent for Lego. Also these five-drawer desktop organizers might be worth checking out.

Just walk around dollar stores, hardware stores to see what looks decent and cheap enough.

And where exactly did I say copyright laws were good brain dead fuckwit?
Go ahead, screen shot my post and highlight the sentence, come on.
Oh right you can't because you're a fucking retard. I didn't say anything about copyright laws being good, or bad.

What I said, in regards to copyright laws in China, was that the Chinese Government only care about them as long as it makes them money. If the laws get in the way, the government ignores them. If they helped protect Chinese pay packets and tax revenue, then the government will enforce them.

But I'm guessing that's not what got your panties so wadded that they gave you a chronic case of butthurt, that you've now spread to me you cunt.
I'm guessing that you're the faggot that posted >>5596963
If that is you and you're shitty that I dared disagree with the bullshit posted there, well you're an even bigger retard then I thought.

Once again, I said nothing about copyright laws. You made an outright stupid claim, that China has creative freedom.
I simply pointed out that that is bullshit, as evidence by the harsh censorship that China places on it's media and art.

cont.

Ai Weiwei is a Chinese artist, who's critical of the Chinese government. In 2011, he was arrested and held for 81 days without any charges. Initial reports were that he was arrested (and his studio searched by 50 police officers) because his "departure procedures were incomplete" (he was about to fly Hong Kong). Later the story was changed he may be involved to "economic crimes". He was eventfully charged with tax evasion, which many people believe to be bullshit and given bail. He was told that he wasn't aloud to leave the country for a year. After that year, he was told he still couldn't leave the country because he was "suspected of other crimes," including producing pornography, bigamy and other most likely bullshit charges.

Guo Jain is another Chinese artist, who's critical of the Chinese government and the restrictive polices on art among other things. He left China in 1992 and moved to Australia, after being pressured to leave the country by Chinese authorities. He returned in 2005 and was arrested, for in 2014 after giving an interview to Financial Times about his experience of and artistic work relating to the Tienanmen Square protests and massacre. He was deported to Australia.

Or how about as I mentioned the fact that the Chinese government has an outright ban on TV shows, movies or books depicting or being based upon Time Travel? That's right, the Chinese government bans people with in its borders from producing media (or art) depicting time travel.

So do these sound like a country with a great deal of creative freedom?
Oh but wait, I've made a mistake! When you said "artistic freedom" what you really meant was "ability to make little plastic things cheaper so that I can get my leisure items for 1/3 the original price."
You don't give a fuck about about "artistic freedom", so don't pretend you do.
