Who here ramjet?

After that dump before I thought more would be on board, but I guess with the third party one which...seems to borrow alot of the official one's parts I can see why people are adamant.

If it weren't for the fact I'm paying less than the third party ones I'd of regretted this

Anyway image dump if you need to see the in hand images of him, again or otherwise

Yeah, Astrotrain's looking good in robot mode, shame about that weakass choo-choo mode and pointy shoes.

Still, I'll probably get him just because he scales better.

Robot mode isn't bad, and I know it will be packaged that way to look its best, but it'd be nice if they'd quit designing the toys and then realize at the last minute that they don't have the budget to put some decent paint applications on the vehicle modes.

It's like CW Onslaught, who looks fairly detailed in package, but then you transform him and he looks plain as hell.
>>
I'm having a lot of fun with RiD Megatronus.

For such a shitty little toy there's something appealing about him. No clue what or why. Maybe it's just because of the crippling lack of Decepticon toys in the line.

How's Fracture?
>>
>>5560823
i'm exactly like you about megatronus, it's just a very fun toy to mess with and the transformation is ace. I'm pretty sure the fact that the head is on balljoint helps a lot. Fracture is a letdown as far as I'm concerned, bought it after getting megs but felt like an "ok" toy without any charm, sadly.

What doesn't look like shit these days.

Opinions man, if people can bitch about mp01/mp10/dollar store toys what IS good?

Perfection is impossible, if it were we wouldn't be here now would we, we'd all be at home enjoying out mp megatron's and voyager galvatrons
>>
Much to my chagrin, I actually kind of want Victorion. It's not up for pre-order anywhere yet, is it?
>>
>>5560777
Ramjet's release has really killed a lot of the fervor I had for being an MP completionist. Part of the appeal of the MPs is that, all things considered, they're pretty cheap. Maybe not for the penny pinchers who don't stray farther than BBTS for ordering, but as someone who imports a ton of shit from Japan regularly, they're a great value for how large they are compared to similar Japanese figures. but Ramjet isn't something I can just toss on my monthly orders like I can shockwave, and he isn't important enough to me to go out of the way to buy him for more than Shockwave costs., especially since its built on top of a mediocre mold.

I'm also just getting burnt out on G1 anyway, right now I'm just starving for more MP Beast wars news. Still itching for MP Primal to get an actual preorder
>>

>>
>>5560936

Better hope he lives long enough. Man's 70, and as much as I don't like to say it, how long is a man going to last.
>>
>>5560932
The seekers have always been pushing it cost wise, the fact he's sold exclusively (despite heavy retooling) makes it harder for us outside of japan, still annoys the fuck out of me as to why, its not like shattered glass skywarp or some weird shit, why couldn't delta magnus be the exclusive and ramjet be a retail?

Does japan share the same thoughts on the seeker mold?

I still have alot I want from g1 though really new engineering high's would be what I really want, triple changers like octane are the top of my list.

The day has/tak takes on a triple changer, make it look good in all 3 forms and still keep the basics of articulation is a dream I'll be waiting on, that or an mp megatron 2.0.

What you need to do is to lift his crotchplate up, set his legs, then put the crotchplate in place where it won't obstruct the thighs.

It won't sit perfectly flush, but it should look good if viewed from the front.

Also, passed up on a Kabaya Fortress Maximus set for $55. What's a fair price range to get him for? Decided against a Dai Atlas Kabaya kit as well, since the character looked cool but I wasn't too familiar with him. Would he be worth getting as well?

Hey transfafs, trying to transform this whoever-he-was (wanna say Barricade?) back to robot mode.
Managed to intuit my way through 99% of the transformation but now I'm not sure about the head. There's a small playe beneath his chin you're meant to catch with a finger to bring his head out of its slot, but it's REALLY not wanting to go all the way and sit flat with the chest.

I don't really want to crank down on it and force it but that's beginning to look like my only option, unless there's something specific to this mould I'm forgetting?

Breacher's a lovely little figure. The 2010 figures in general were a great set and he was no exception. Articulation's impressive, robot mode looks good, vehicle mode's covered in detail. About the only issue is that the transformation, though creative, can be a bit of a grumble (those arm panels don't want to cooperate), but even then, it's impressive just how much they manage to pack into a Scout - he feels more like a Deluxe from that era, scaled down to half size.

Speaking generally, I don't think there's anything wrong with getting irritated with that train mode. It's kinda just a lump. I don't think it needs to be a full-on G1-accurate Japanese steam locomotive, but I think, say, a diesel locomotive could work great for a Generations Astrotrain. A bullet train like the Classics toy wouldn't be as optimal, but it'd at least look like something.

The big thing that throws it off is the attempt at scale. The wheels wind up being way too small, and consequently, at a glance, it looks less like a train and more like a lumpy space dildo.

There's an inherent satisfaction in turning two robots into one robot or on a general scale, plugging a thing into another thing and having it lock in.
Headmasters are basically nicotine patches for that kind of thing, especially since the heads appear to be balljointed so we aren't stuck with a line full of static or swiveling heads that can't look up or down.

Pretty close, they were transformers who lived on another planet who were small, but due to the harshness of where they were they learnt to adapt...by turning into heads that can attach onto larger transformer bodies.

That's more due to the shape of the bike than its size. Do you think he's too big or too small?

You have no idea how happy I am seeing this.

No one cares but me to see his fuel tanks being used as weapons.

Now I can wait eagerly and cease posting him, well until thrust and dirge come up one day

He looks cool.

Not sure if he looks like, $200 cool or however much he is. But definitely nice looking.

He has alot of flaws, hell the third party seekers that borrow alot of the official parts almost seem to be one upping their attempt.

I just have a thing for under dogs

He's too fat.

I finally have a use for all these left over guns!

What are the flaws of it?

Given regular Motormaster got a release in the US which fixed the hips, I'd assume they did.

I thought it was common knowledge but the base mold (mp11) is over worked to death, no hip articulation is one alot of people mention, jet under kibble exposed (can't be helped, the original mp3 mold helped hide it at the expense of robot hip kibble) and the articulation while ok doesn't allow full leg movement, arms do alright for me but they aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Ramjet's own flaws are the turtle dick poking out since his head and the jet nose cone are 2 different things (with the jet canopy in the chest being rotated around) and unlike the original mp11 its not so easy to hide, the head sculpt isn't for everyone either with either the top of his cone head too small, the face being an acquired taste to some people...

The fact he's an online limited exclusive of 2000 units doesn't help for exporters, I managed to snag one for $200aud, but most others will be paying the amount mp11t thundercracker went for or more even.

In short he wasn't going to be perfect and he's expensive, the 3p's will be cheaper and because of their use of the stolen mp11 parts they might do the trick

Pic related, one I initially wanted, toy mecha's attempt, there are a few other 3p ramjets that borrow/try to emulate the has/tak molds but this was the one I liked the most out of them

But that may not be the case. I'm kind of interested in it because my combiners are 2 autobots and 1 decepticon right now and it doesn't look like a bad set except for 2 of the same molds being used.
