You're underestimating the speed and volume of Christmas time at TRU, dude. Trust me, they'll be out and on pegs before the 25th.
>>
>>5281636

Doubtful.
>>
>>5281650

Well I don't really care whether you believe me or not, but yeah, they will.
>>
>>5281657

They start shipping a week before Christmas, dude. Even on a good release, without a big holiday rush, its usually like 2 or 3 weeks on average before they appear in stores. Sometimes later.

Even if they end up in stores before Christmas, they'll likely be gone almost instantly due to the sheer volume of people moving through the store, and the fact that TRU gets like a single case of these things at a time.

They probably won't be regularly available until mid January, unless you buy them off of NECA's eBay page or something.

Pretty much this exact same thing happened with wave 11.
>>
>>5281658

It's Christmas, that shit'll be in stores before you even know it. And especially around Christmas-time, TRU gets far more than just one case. At least if your TRU is a higher volume store. They'll be out.

Hey that's a great find in Newcastle, you got the yellow version :^)
>>
>>5282487

It is incredibly rare for old figures to crop up at retail here in the US. Only ones I can think of are that about a year ago, TRU somehow got some cases of Wave 3 and were selling them on their website for like, $3 each.

NECA also put a bunch of Lost Tribe figures up on their eBay page maybe 8~10 months ago at retail. I managed to snag a Boar Predator, because it was one of the last 3 or 4 Lost Tribe figures I needed. The rest had already sold out by the time I found them.

Some people have found other figures in-store for super cheap. I think someone here snagged a Big Chap for like $1 at a TRU a few months back.

Wasn't much in town, so I just ended up buying some comics and SHF.

>>5282502

Yeah, the decent thing about having independent stores close by is the chance to find rare figures for decent prices. I'm jealous of the Americans, TRU's over here don't get NECA stock, so we're stuck with online stores and local shops
>>
>>5282508

Some of the comic shops around here have older figures sometimes, but they're usually marked up at a premium. And even then, a lot of these shops buy and sell figures and toys, so sometimes they're used figures at a markup. Might as well buy them on eBay and get them for new for some of the prices they ask.
>>
For those of you who own it, what do you think of the Power Loader?

I do think it looks good, but what freaks me out is that in every other review I've seen, the reviewer mentions breaking the pistons on the legs (in two video reviews I watched, the reviewer actually broke a piston in the middle of the review). Is that point as weak as they make it out to be, or is it fairly easy to avoid breaking that area with some care? I don't mind the price, but I would mind paying that much only to break the thing right out of the box.

I've got Ripley, I've got the Queen, just waiting to pull the trigger on the Loader.

obviously not Randy :^)
>>
>>5282557

It's just extremely stiff. Mine's fine, I moved all the joints to make sure nothing would break, and I didn't break any pistons. The only issue with the Loader is WHERE you grab it. There's very little surface area, or parts that wouldn't snap if you put too much pressure on it or whatever...just cause it's a thinner part of plastic, or a pole, or what have you.

It doesn't FEEL fragile, it's just...stiff. I honestly love mine, even at the $96 I paid, I don't feel cheated. But it is definitely a "pose it and leave it alone" display piece, and not a "play with me" toy.
>>
So how is Leatherface? worth £25?
>>
>>5282579
Thanks for your impressions. Is it easy to return it to its box after taking it out? I don't have a good spot for a Loader v. Queen display right now, so I'd probably just take the loader out to check it out then put it back once I'm done.
>>
>>5282780

Yeah, you'd have to kind of maneuver a few things back into place, but it should be easier enough to do if you're careful. All the hoses and stuff have to be re-twisted around the arms (rotate the "hands") and the legs brought forward...It'd be a chore, but you can do it, yes.
>>
>>5282803
Thanks again. That does sound like a pain, I'll just leave the Loader out in that case. Having Ripley+Loader out on display would be pretty rad on its own anyways.

Found Superman this morning at TRU. They only had two, so not sure if I walked in on what was left, or if it was all they had...or if they chose to only put two out cause of the "limited space" on the dvd rack.

I did have to spend some time with boiling water and Supes here. Thigh swivel was stuck, which involved some reheating and tugging/wiggling to eventually pop it free. Knees were stuck, but again, the water helped that out too. Beyond that side mission, man...I am totally happy with this figure.

Perfect likeness. Just beautiful. The cape is nice, too, has enough weight to the fabric to hang well, plus I just love how they actually have it bunching up around the neck. He comes with open "gliding" hands, but I don't like those as much as the fists. Ironically kind of the opposite of how I felt with West and his alt hands.

This really is a stupendous figure, even after the work I had to put in to make sure everything moved proper-like. Good shit!
>>
Still no sign of Superman here. My local TRU even started cramming Terminator Genisys figures and Legos into the area where the figures are supposed to go.
>>
>>5283133
Did your store get the first two figures? Supposedly there's going to be restocks...supposedly...so hopefully these will be shipping for a little while, yet.
>>
>>5283143
I saw Ledger and West at a different TRU (which now just has Heroclix in that spot) but never at the one that has the Genisys and Legos in the DC spot. Supposedly they had both Ledger and West, though.
>>
>>5282865
So the boiling water technique, do you try to free up the joint while the plastic is still soft or do you wait for it to cool off? I don't want to break my second supes.
>>
>>5283256
Do it while it's soft. The trick relies upon the concept that the limbs are made of a more malleable plastic than the joints and soften more rapidly and thoroughly when subjected to heat. The joint retains its integrity and rigidity while the rest of the figure is soft and will provide less friction against the joint when moved. So if it cools down, it loses that advantage in material differences.
>>
>>5283276

This.
Mind you, there are times where even when the joint is at it's softest it still won't budge, and that's okay. That's when you do the "wiggling" or GENTLE rocking or movements to help loosen things up.

Here's Supes with the open hands (and yes, gasp, blue pegs!). I'm still happy that for once in my life, I own a Keaton Batman and Reeves Superman. I couldn't be happier.

Now I just need to figure out a flight stand situation for Supes.

>I post one picture and you guys can't help but argue, argue, argue.

It's just one person taking personal offense to facts that anyone can see. They can not mind it, but there's no reason to throw shade at people who dislike it. It's not a very sensible way to go through life.
>>
>>5284065
yeah that guy was fucking cool, I doubt he'll pop back up in the show though.
Also it was kinda dumb all they had to do to beat him was to hit him with the book. I wish they didn't stop him, just somehow escaped or he got distracted by something else and left to do more evil, but I guess that would have made the show more complicated. And I wish they used more Horror Elements shooting that scene, but still was cool overall.

Definitely getting the NECA figure, maybe I'll make a base for him and draw in chalk the symbol that they drew in salt to keep him contained for him to stand on
>>
>>5284306

If you watch closely, some of the black smoke goes into the chick. She'll probably end up as the Linda of the series. I loved the staticy/jittering effect, though. Now that we know they're doing Ash vs Evil Dead, I hope we get an Ash with a swappable Woody/Chainsaw and Necronomicon. Maybe Pablo w/ bottle.
>>
>>5284306
>maybe I'll make a base for him and draw in chalk the symbol that they drew in salt to keep him contained for him to stand on

That's actually a pretty good idea. It'd make a supe visual on display. Hmm. Maybe do that "glitter' trick where you do a small bead of glue for the shape, then use a sandy/saly material from the craft store to spill on it and let it dry?
>>
>>5284311
>Ash with a swappable Woody/Chainsaw and Necronomicon
I'm pretty sure it's certain we're gonna get this along with Ultimate Hero Ash

We probably won't get Pablo and definitely not Kelly (Thats her name right?).
Knowing NECA, they'll just do a couple Ashes and a couple monsters. Not complaining though.

I've never bought any NECA figures before but I've loved what they've been doing. Want to take the plunge and ask for a few as Christmas gifts, especially because these are the kind of toys that nobody really is going to scoff at too much.

Is this guy actually any good? I always loved the Dark Horse Predator comics and this looks pretty swell as far as paint/colours go but how's he stand up articulation/detail wise?

I also want to pick up the Alien Isolation wave because I loved that game, you think that's gonna be worth it?
>>
>>5285788
Articulation-wise he's pretty great, it uses the current gen predator body, so ball hips and double jointed knees.

The paint on him is really nice, too, very visually striking.
>>
>>5285788

It is based off the cover for that first Predator comic.

His paint scheme is actually more reminiscent of the NES Jungle Hunter and the SEGA City Hunter they've done, rather than the other comic Preds they've done.

He is actually probably not one of my favorite Predators they've done, but the coloration is pretty unique among most of the Preds, and the staff accessory is really cool. Probably one of the larger, and more detailed accessories they've done for these figures.

But if you absolutely HAD to pick up a Dark Horse figure just because you wanted a Predator from the comics, I'd probably recommend Bad Blood or Ahab over the 25th anni Predator.
>>
>>5285795
Well, I'm more familiar with Dark Horse's vintage AVP series than I am anything else. I don't know who Ahab is (looks like he was in a recent comic I didn't read), but I'm familiar with Bad Blood. It doesn't look like the toy for that one has a mask though and I like masked Predator over unmasked, at least for my first one.

Thanks for the advice.

They made a deal with Sony. They can make figures for LBP, an ultimate Kratos, and an Ultimate Drake (from Uncharted). Pretty sure they can make more from those licenses, but it's really just a matter if they think characters other than the titular ones will be profitable.

Has anyone seen the re-issue Robocop at Walmart recently? I stopped by Walmart the other day for the first time in a while and totally forgot to check.

Wondering if it's worthwhile to go back for another look later this week. Would really like to pick this guy up to go with ED-209, and I'm not a big fan of the blue tint on the Robocop 3 version figure.

Did any of guys win any of the Predators this guy had for sale?

If so did you actually receive them? I won the City Hunter and Jungle Hunter on November 1st, I paid immediately, and I haven't received jack shit. I messaged the guy several times and got no response, now ebay has given me a refund. I would rather have the figures, damn it.

What are the rarest/most valuable Neca Predators and Xenomorphs?
From what i've seen online it seems that Ahab is one, being an expensive con exclusive and all. Are there others?
>>
>>5291351
>Rarest/Most Valuable Predator
Big Red is probably the rarest, and definitely one of the most expensive, Masked City Hunter comes close, and then most of the Lost Tribe (especially Borg, Ram, Gort, Shaman)

>Rarest/Most Valuable Xenomorph
There aren't really any 'rare' ones since they're all essentially army builders, but the dog alien is probably the most sought after out of all the basic xenos. The queen is obviously the most expensive.

Ahab isn't that rare yet, a few of us Britbongs managed to pick him up for £20 each on Amazon last month :^)
>>
>>5291351

Ahab is relatively cheap compared to the Lost Tribe. Masked Berserker, Falconer and I think nearly all of the City Hunters are rare

Yeah, it mostly depends on where you are, and how willing you are to wait, because sometimes you can get a particularly rare Pred for pretty cheap.

I'd say the top 5 most expensive/rare ones are;

1.) Single-card Masked City Hunter
2.) Albino
3.) Shaman
4.) Big Red
5.) Ahab (maybe?)

The first 3 or 4 were going for about $80 USD each, for a long time. Most of the Lost Tribe, and a handful of others were hanging around $50 or so. If you're willing to wait, you can get them all cheaper, though.

He's been on deep discount a couple of times over on your side of the pond, but that doesn't mean he still isn't rare or expensive.

Besides, I've noticed that not long after he gets discounted on your Amazon, a bunch of Albinos start mysteriously appearing on eBay shipping from the UK for scalper prices, so it is practically the same thing anyway.

Neca treatment when??????
>>
>>5293181

The current series 5 black xeno is really good.
>>
>>5293181

Well, if you just want "A Xenomorph" and you don't really care which one, probably go for the Dog Alien. It is by far the best one NECA has done, and there haven't been any QC issues that have come up with it.

The problem lies more with the Aliens Warrior. What happens is, sometimes during the molding process for the joint parts, there are air bubbles that get in there which makes the already kinda stiff plastic more prone to breaking. Couple that with the fact that sometimes the paint and/or clear coat seeps into the joints and freezes them a little so they become stuck sometimes.

So long as you're careful, or you use the hot water method (dunk the joint in some hot water for maybe 20-30 seconds, then begin working the joint) you should be able to free the joint up.

It really isn't that big of a problem that often. If you get one, just know that be a bit careful moving the joints around initially before you really get crazy with posing it.
>>
>>5293181
The best alien in terms of QC and non-fragility is the dog alien.

>>5293191
It shares the same problems as all of the other xeno warriors, weak elbow and ankle joints.

>>5293193
This.

Dog Alien is best.
Warrior is great but be careful and patient when posing it.
>>
>>5293197
No it doesn't, I've got three of them, they're fine. So again, I HIGHLY recommend the black xeno from series 5.
>>
>>5293202
>>5293202
Yes, they do. The first one I bought had a broken leg right out of the box, snapped clean off at the joint. I currently have two of them and despite not them breaking on me (yet) they feel extremely fragile and the knee joints are extremely loose which really limits what you can do when posing them. My dog alien however is solid, no complaints whatsoever.
>>
Are there any articulated stands (Tamashii stage style, preferably) that are beefy enough to support the Alien Warrior? Even after I fixed his stuck ankles he cannot stand up to save his life unless I have him leaning backwards and resting on his tail.

I would just buy more Tamashii Stages but they're too small and too weak to support him.

Why they didn't include a stand with him is beyond me. I get that a design as top-heavy as a Xeno is gonna have difficulty standing unless you completely hollow out the head and upper torso (which would be silly). But if your figure can't stand on its own then for god's sake give him a stand. He doesn't even have holes in his feet to peg him into those little clear plastic discs NECA sells.

So, NECA is making a life-size "Arkham Knight" Batman...more a statue than a poseable figure, but still. Thoughts?
>>
>>5294535

It'd be an impressive piece if you had the space/room and were THAT big a Batman fan. But, like those life-size Star Wars items, or a Master Chief...it's not something I'd do.

Maybe if I had a dedicated office or something, it'd be a solid way to show you're a fan to folks without being totally overwhelmed.
>>
why can't the neca alien queen stand like she should? instead she's bound to a t-rex like stance.
>>
>>5294550

That's not really how she's ever stood in the film, she was always more "rex-ish" by design. But the figure can stand pretty damn upright. So I'm going to assume this was a bait post, because....I mean, wtf, seriously?
>>
>>5294585
i'm not sure, its a while since i have seen the movie, but every art i see depicts her standing upright, and the figure can't do that. at least i cant make her head look that far down. mind to post a pic of yours doing it?

and btw. Fuck this bate meme. not everything is bate.
>>
>>5294593

She's clearly crouched over in that pic, even. And who cares how art depicts her? Mostly in the movie, she's crouched over.

1.) First time we see her, she is crouched in the hive with the egg sac attached.

2.) She then spends a bunch of time runny after Ripley and Newt, crouched over.

3.) Crouched in the elevator, in the wheel port of the dropship, and spends pretty much the rest of the movie crouched over tearing the floor apart trying to get Newt.

Then she spends the rest of the movie crouched over fighting Ripley until she gets shot out of the airlock.

I can't even think of a single time in the movie where she is depicted as standing upright. In fact, coincidentally enough, she seems to be designed with a T-Rex in mind, the way she is built and the way she moves.

Even the drones/warriors are always depicted as crouching over. That's why the figures (not just NECA but any alien figures) look kinda stupid when they're just standing upright like a person, and they look dumb whenever they're depicted that way in comics or artwork, or whatever. They're creepy, lanky, spindly, and insect-like, and they're almost always depicted as leaning over in a sort of prowling stance. The Queen is really no different.
>>
>>5294593
>but every art i see depicts her standing upright

Because it's art.

And yes, the figure can do that. The neck and head have a generous amount of motion to allow for the long pole stand to attach at a near upright pose.

Also it's art. Art is wrong most of the time.

I have the 1/4 keaton figure, and while i do enjoy it, I think it would be better as a $40 7 inch figure or a $60 12 inch figure. The size is just too much, and that's honestly what you're paying for. I'd love if the smaller 7 inch batman had all the accessories and quality of the 1/4 scale. I'd pay $40 of $50 for that.

The one with the jetpack and cannon is from Robocop 2 (technically), you get the RC3 jetpack, but that blue paint job on Murphy is totally from 2.

It is just basically a "checklist" of sorts for all of the figures they've released in the line so far.

They did it with the Predator line, the Pacific Rim line, the Gears of War line, etc. Basically, the ones that are really long-running they put out one of these charts to show everything that has been released up until that point.

No, they're not re-releasing anything, it just shows everything up to that point. And they'll probably post a high-res pic on their twitter account soon, since they always make them available. It is probably just something new that they haven't posted yet, and just showed off the pic (likely at the current 'con) and posted a pic on facebook, or whatever.

Says the moron buying NECA toys in the first place? Dude, get the fuck out of here before you embarrass yourself further.
>>
>>5299121

Yeah, you do that. Go impress your Hasblow butt-buddies in another thread. Maybe they'll cry for you there.
>>
>>5299129
>knows NECA is shit
>buys it anyway to cry about it on the internet

You used to stick forks in the electrical sockets, didn't you?

>>5299268

And? You broke your toy and you're crying about it. Go back to your GI Jerkfest, nobody wants to listen to your whining.

Sure it was. I totally believe you. Clearly someone with your temper would never have broken something in a fit of rage.
>>

I think you've got some major problems going on. I think you can't help yourself, you've got a psychotic personality, quite clearly. I weep for those around you. The way you conduct yourself online is a pretty clear indicator of someone who doesn't get the attention they think they deserve in real life. You're pitiable at best.

You being a master of it, after all.

Would you say it's worth the upgrade if I have one of the older T2 toys?
>>
>>5299487
I don't have any of the older T2 figures but judging from pictures, they seem to have less articulation but be more accurate to each particular scene.
The one in your pic has a black shirt for example while the Ultimate Arnold has a grey shirt, which he doesn't wear until later on in the movie.
>>
>>5299487
I wish the ultimate T-800 came with a pair of alternate glove-less hands, just for a bit of variation.
>>
>>5299904

That'd be the only thing I think is missing from the set, agreed. Great figure otherwise.

>>5299487
That one's hard to say. The leg articulation upgrade IS nice, but unless you're going to be posing the Terminator in more ways than what you see there...probably not. It's kind of a personal call.
>>
>>5299904
Me too.
That got me thinking about some other the extras that could have been included to make the T-800 even more ultimate:-
- swappable chest like the new T-1000 with optional black t-shirt and battle damaged grey t-shirt
- swappable left forearm with damaged arm
- set of gloveless hands
- empty grenade belt
- swappable lower leg with damaged knee

Basically just all different parts from the various older figures in one package.

It also got me thinking about what’s missing from the Genisys figures, like a damaged face and an endoskeleton arm for the T-800 Guardian, or blade arms for the T-1000.

What would happen if you removed her crown?
>>

Same question I guess, I am looking forward to Mutavore more than Striker Eureka I think, but hopefully they are both good. Any word?

>inb4 there is no way Mutavore can fill out it's price point.
>>
>>5300174
It would be extremely painful.

>tfw Amazon delivered her today and I'm too tired to unbox her

Took me half an hour to get here unboxed and set up.

Those six spikes on her back are a pain, first they wouldn't go on, now they're in they keep falling off. That's pretty much my only nitpick, for the price I paid she's a 9.5/10 figure.
>>
>>5300508
Yeah, don't like those spikes. Still, I suppose having them on balljoints with some issues is better than having them attached to her body.

I just wish she had a bit more range in her body so she could twist/turn to the left or right more. But yeah, she is a fucking good figure.
>>
>>5300516
Xmas cometh and I just got my crimbo cash!
Plan on picking up a bunch of pred stuff along with the omnibus comics.
Do any preds that appear in the comic have figs?
Wanna be ready for when I read it also is dutch vs jungle hunter as hype as it looks?
>>
>>5300565
As far as comic figures go, there's Bad Blood, Enforcer and the Dark Horse Predator.

Dutch vs Jungle Hunter is kinda meh in my opinion. There are better versions of both figures.
>>
>>5300249
I don't know BBTS still has him and Striker listed for November, but that window is closing.
>>
>>5300577
Oh anon!
That Dark Horse predator. Well that's just dandy looking. Thank ya stranger.
Is there like an ultimate dutch or just get em all kinda thing?
That jungle extraction dutch is looking mighty fine.
>>
>>5300601

No Ultimate Dutch at the moment. There's Ultimate John Matrix that you could pretend is Dutch.

>>5300508

Chase your cat around with it, mate.
>>
>>5300601
Yer welcome m8.

There is no 'ultimate' Dutch and there probably never will be because he goes through so many different looks throughout the film. Jungle Patrol and Jungle Encounter are my favourites, but Jungle Disguise is great too if you want a muddy Dutch.

>>5300614
He sniffed at her crown then knocked her over trying to give her a cuddle :^)
