Hey guys, recently bought the Betrayal at Calth box set hoping to start an Iron Warriors legion
anyone got any tips for starting out with a new army in 30k?

Try to max your units if you can.
A 5 men support squad with magnetized guns is awesome to have.
Legion units are the most fun to play, get one if you can.
Try to pick up some iron havocs. One of the most cost-effective units in 30k imo

Well first things first. Assemble and paint all your iron warriors. Line them all up in ranks. Choose 1 put of every 10 models and proceed to smash them beyond repair. Decimation complete. Continue decimating whenever a squad doesn't perform well on the table top and subject the entire army to it after every loss.

Also Medusas. And loads of infantry. Maybe a siege breaker
Iron Within my brother, Use Calth to make 2x15 man tactical squads, 5 Siege Tyrants(Cheapest Cyclones from Puppetswar). Sell the stupid Dreadnought, use characters to cover for Siege Breaker. After that prioritise acquiring Quad-Mortars and Medusas, run the Ironfire Rite of War and let everyone know your hate.
