What does it even matter? Resurrection magic is all over the place in jump chain.

I've got...

A huge god-dragon holding absolute dominion over fire and being easily double the size of godzilla.
A ghost girl bound to a otherwise ordinary stone who I've been teaching necromancy.
My AI personal assistant/secretary, who's hopping all over the place through every piece of technology I have... and is trying to get me to be serious more often.
The cosmic incarnation of "Fuck You", taking the approximate shape of a deer and/or deer-man.
The Lady Gromgard aka The Overlady running around in her sauron-style armor and breaking mountains with centuries of Iterative Improvement on her gear.
A catgirl-shaped eldritch horror...
An immortal, eldritch, bat-shit insane, perverted, ancient vampire
My Little Sister, from Slice of Life. Basically a little girl version of my jumper.
My Parting Gift, from Darkstalkers... Basically a little girl version of my jumper.
Ranma Saotome, from Ranma. Now with more martial arts, Enhanced Mastery, and other learning/skillcopying perks.
And Jibril. The angel of blowing shit up and knowledge.

There strength ranges from sort-of-human but ridiculously skilled, to 'casually murders eldritch gods and smashes through absolute defences like tissue paper'.

Relationship depends on who they are. Generally a bunch of waifus, friends, family... and one actual rival. though it might be edging into kismesis territory after Sburb.

Everyone gets to choose their own style. We're not really strict about anything like that, and most of the time they're free to do whatever they want anyway.
>>
Can /jc/ give me any good examples of what Fire Emblem magic can do in terms of feats? And if there are any interesting metaphysics to think about and work with?
>>
>>48336576
Well apparently a cult managed to revive a horrible dragon of darkness and create an artificial manakete of sorts out of a human child as a vessel for it. So that's neat.

Basically you have combat magic, which is your generic videogame stuff, and you have the story rituals, which are always big news.
>>
So /jc/, we all know there are quite a few physical shapeshifting perks/powers/whatever in the chain.
But where could I find something that does the same to my own mind? For example, being able to rewrite what I like/dislike, my hoobies, my sets of morals and all that jazz. Basically the mental equivalent of shapeshifting/psychic self-surgery.
Does something like that even exist?
And if so, or not, what uses would your jumper get out of it?

Is there anything at all worthwhile in the ASoIaF jump other than the chance to kill everything and establish a new world order?

I hung around the Jeffersonian and my identity only lasted a couple weeks, but that's to be expected when you hang around with police scientists. It was mostly the little things that gave it away, like making toys from whatever bits and bobs they were about to throw out, and how it always rains when I had to go home, and how I had only recently published any papers despite somehow wrangling a job working with the FBI and having multiple PhDs at 29.

And then I just didn't bother pretending that I made sense. I showed up for work on time, did my job, revealed information I had no earthly way of knowing, showed up places I couldn't be, and occasionally sang songs that caused old injuries to heal and helped them recover from difficult cases. By the end of Year ten I mostly walked around without illusions because they had pieced so much together about me. Bones actually guessed I was an alien anthropologist, and I guess she was right, in a way. I corrected her by saying I was a tourist, though. A tourist that kept journals, and notes, and talked to natives, and learned about their cultures and histories and lifestyles. But I also interfere far too much to be a scientist, because I have to keep the boss-lady happy.

I think Sweets was the only one that got the full story, because he wouldn't let me in the field if he didn't get it. He seemed amused at first, before he began taking it seriously and thinking of the implications of the secrecy pact I placed him under.

I find Psychonauts tech is pretty good for that kind of thing. I mean, it's not the be end all, but it's a really base for being able to enter into a metaphysical realm of symbolism that you can start applying changes to.
Also good for generalized research on mental structures!

It's kind of touch and go, but, I mean, if you're in there, and you can effect things, then you can change how things operate. The kid from Psychonauts fixes some mental disorders by jumping into peoples' heads. You could presumably create them or add new stuff altogether with some practice.
Just refurnish some mental landscapes and maybe teach the constructs some new hobbies or something.
This can be used on other people as well as yourself, though you'll obviously want to be careful about what you're doing if it's on anyone important.

Personally, I've, uh, sometimes had to cram a bunch of memories into a safe and lock it behind another, slightly larger safe and bury it in metaphorical cobwebs.
So, yeah. Psychic surgery. It's a thing!

The last thing I remember from last jump was the Exarchs charging up some kind of absurdly massive Fate-Space-Spirit ritual straight at me, after breaching the first of their Cintamani Palaces by using Umor as a battering ram.

I...I guess that curse was powerful enough to pierce the barriers of jumpchain itself. Because I'm currently looking at giant robots pilotted by eldritch abominations, my two least favorite things in the multiverse.

There goes Nyarlathotep from R'lyeh Academy, honking her squamous biomechanical terror of a giant robot

There goes Louisa Ferrel from Chaos U, just knocking over people whenever she steers the Mara Lagann in a different direction.

And...yep, it appears the Exarchs, all 8 million of them, have followed me here too. They appear to be smugger than ever.

Godammit why do most of my shapeshifter nemeses also happen to have conveniently schoolgirl-shaped forms? At least Ravenloft and the Dark Powers over there seem to be just as disturbed at becoming goth lolis as I am.

Pretty much the only silver lining is that Elodie's teh literal queen of our academy. I have a new blackbox tech known as the scopedog that might prove useful. I know from...personal experience it's absurdly effective against cosmic beings.

There's a perk in the JuDOS tree in Portal that lets you temporarily delete bits of your personality, and though it doesn't implicitly say it, implies you can 'add' bits on as well, and even has an example of adding care for someone you have to escort.

Best thing is all of it can snap right back into place if it needs to, so sure you can be a horrible monster who would never do that, but if you want to stop yourself doing a particular thing despite looking like you would to an empath, you can.

Also, there's a great acting perk in SAO that could help smooth things over a bit.

We're a colorful and varied group, and they usually get to do whatever they felt like, unless I need something important that requires their help or their doing could potentially spoil some of my plans for the setting.

After losing a few companions early on, mostly them leaving us or being kicked out of the group for some discrepancies, the 'core' group is like a big family, with myself doing the role of patriarch, big brother and some times the 'cool uncle'.

The core group that gets brought to most settings consists in:

-Alucard, who aside from being a prismatic dragon with many kinds of magic under his belt and having being modified using Time Baby's DNA, is also acting as the number 8 and leader of the Felt, who had been upgraded to fuck even more with time and causality. His true form involves many tentacles and eyes and growing bigger than stars. Being the oldest member of the group (aside from myself), he usually works as an 'enforcer' and the one that solves disputes between us.

-The Earl, my Overlord NPC, a demonic oversized clown (he is currently the tallest of the group while in human form, being close to 9 feet tall). Most of his skills are related to crafting and chaos magic. His true form involves something akin to Ubik during Berserk's World Transformation. With many clowns and demons. Not good for reality. His fanatic loyalty to me didn't help too much to his integration into the group at first, but everyone got used to it. He and Aoko Aozaki are the ones usually in charge to build most of the stuff of the group, unless something extremely complicated needs my help.

-Dante, the other demonic-like entity of the group. After finally embracing his demonic lineage, he has been upgraded with Kryptonian DNA. His true form is similar to Lucifer's from SMT. The life and soul of the party. He still acts as a cool big brother with everyone.

-Yakumo Yukari, got some more magic, nothing too special. She got some nice gravity and space bending abilities. True form related to foxes. Big ones. Usually the voice of reason within the group.

-Solarie, he became a living sun. Well, at least he can for a time. He's been given a lot electric and fire magic and bending, specially after Fairy Tail. He got a new armor. He also as the medic/healer of the group. His true form is, who would have guessed, becoming a living sun. Usually the conscience of the group, although we have very little right now, he doesn't seems to care that much.

-Akame, she got some burning martian DNA and a few Lantern Rings knock-offs,powered with some magic batteries rather than leeching out of the embodiment of something. Her true form is very similar to her human form. Actually the smallest member of the group while in true forms. Still being treated as the young little sister.

-Furie, after many modifications and lots of magic added, she is actually a true god of light and has been given many angelic traits and some cute summons. Her true form is the average eight winged archangel. With the size of a mountain. Somehow growth to be the group's wise girl

-Aoko Aozaki, keep getting more magic, but after sometime, she surprisingly turned out to start experimenting with magic-tech and I had to start passing some of my knowledge about super-science to her. True form related to dragons. Because everybody loves dragons, huh. Mostly in charge of planning.

If you have Blessing and Take Shelter Beneath My Wings, does the line about 'shaping' energy to send to them such as sending it as strength if they prey for it basically letting you cast spells at/on people that pray to you? The wording is a little ambiguous but that's how I read it, and it would be really awesome if that's how it works.
>>
>>48337322
>That's just shitty napalm.
Clearly you don't know what napalm is, then, because wildfire is far more powerful.

>>
>>48337523
Innistrad. Someone else was asking about it so I asked a question of my own.
>>
>>48337503
Sort of, I think? It doesn't seem like it would just allow you to cast whatever on them, but Blessing allows you to send energy from any pool they could use, so shaping that into something specific like a spell seems like it'd work.
>>
>>48337548
It seems to say they have to pray for a specific effect, the example being strength, then if you know a strength spell you can 'send pre-prepared to do that.'
>>
>>48337573
That sounds about right to me, yeah. Though you can also just send generic energy like Blessing allows you to do, if you prefer/they don't pray for anything specific.
>>
>>48336372

+ An electric fox who could create all kinds of world bending magical artifacts, but rarely bothers.
+ A double-headed cute monster that can lift small buildings and enjoys dramatic entrances.
+ A purely synthetic being from the stars that has a love of both technology and nature.
+ A cyborg from a trash heap of a future. She likes singing and can kick my ass with surprising ease.
+ Green skinned alien hottie, short and flat but don't you dare mention either. Has a talent for shape-shifting and infiltration.
+ Minor fertility and harvest deity who forced her way into my vacation Jump and never left. Newest addition.
+ Horrifying vampire monster who won't stop calling me master. Has a lovely exterior and knows a great deal about choke-holds.

The fact I only have 7 bothers me. I like even numbers, but I haven't found anyone interesting to fill the slot yet.

They're all relatively strong. I Import my Companions into every Jump on principle and the ones who have been around since the beginning have amassed quite a bit of power by this point. Thankfully, their talents are diversified enough that they fill in the few gaps I have in my own power set. It also allows me to be a lazy at times, which I like to do.

Our relationship is... unique. I'll leave it at that because I'm not sure anyone really wants to hear about it.

We don't usually wear uniforms. It's much easier to distribute people where you need them when they can't be instantly recognized as one of yours. Still, we do have a few sets from Soul Eater saved for a special occasion.

>>48336607
Dungeons and Dragons has a few memory modification spells. The only problem with them is that they all take time. For every minute of memory that you want to add, delete, or modify, it takes one minute of casting time. Trying to modify years? I'd suggest a few power components unless you've got some time to kill.

Duck Team [200] And you.
>tanks:
Ooarai Tanks [Free] Decent base, I guess.
WWII Tankette - Type 89B [3] Let's grab one more of these...
WWII Tank Destroyer - Jagdtiger [12] Getting there.
WWII Heavy Tank - KV-2 with 152mm howitzer [15] Gud gun, but slow.
WWII Super Heavy Tank - Panzer VIII Maus [20] But if you go big, then REALLY go big.
>drawbacks:
Can Humans Even Wake Up At Six In The Morning? [+100] Business as usual for me?
The Little General [+200] I am small. Again. But that's okay, I've got loads of cute perks to use with that.
That Would Be Cheating [+300] My, uh, stat-based abilities are utterly bonkers. 'Cheating' is unnecessary.

So, mostly I'm going to take it easy this decade, and just have fun with tanks and matches.

I'm expecting ineffectual attacks/assassination attempts from a depowered cute girl Deer Lord, which is hilarious. I'm going to pay for this next jump, but for now this is gold.

I...try to avoid thinking in terms of a usual lineup. I rotate every decade or so. Most of them are too individualistic for something to a uniform so instead I brand them with a memetic IFF.

Relationships...vary. I'd trust my life to any of them, but..things just kind of inevitably become complicated what with who and what I am. What they DO is keep me company, and whatever they feel like within reason unless there's a reason for everyone to work together.

Alice is one of the easiest to work with. She looks up to me as an eccentric cousin and likes to help me with stuff. She just needs to be reminded every now and then "helping" doesn't always have to involve stabbing things. Consequently I also work with Belial & Nebiros a lot, since even after growing up she likes to have tea parties with them.

Avacyn's been really clingy ever since being rescued; having psychology perks for days got kinda offset by having too many harem perks. She's also kinda torn between genuinely wanting the best for most mortals and absolutely mistrusting organized religions. At least Brigid and Anhel are there to support her from having been in similar situations-but what this means for ME is having to be on the same plane of existence as multiple women who alternate between yelling at me for genocide or whatever, and dragging me back to the couch for cuddle therapy. You can run, but you can't hide from tsundere archangels.

I guess Odin and Jibril are pretty regular, being podded? Odin's elevated snark to a martial art after aeons of weirdness. These days he's swapped out the viking leathers for business suits too. As for Jibril, outside observers may make the assumption that she's mellowed out after a while. She has not. Her power has simply grown to the level where she spends every jump using an intellectus-like spell to try and learn everything to become ever more powerful through efficiency, which kinda makes her seem dreamy and airheaded at times.

Doom 2016 question from someone who's only passingly familiar with the game

The intro says you show up right before the Lazarus Wave, that's the event that makes everything go to hell, correct? Does this mean that, if you don't take the Too Late drawback, that you could potentially avert everything if you're fast enough? Also, if this is true and you do avert it, are there any demons to kill, or does doing this make everything much more peaceful?

>Odin

Viking Saga jump. Ragnarok came, and there I was fielding spaceships against wolves vast enough to eat the sun, Artificial Causality Weapons against Surtr's army of fire giants and entire armies of Einherjar Stand users. The Realms shook when Thor feinted at Jormundgr with a backup hammer fashioned from uru, then decked the beast with Mjolnir.

The world still ended up being destroyed eventually, but more of the Aesir survived than they would have otherwise. Odin was one of them.

We shared some of Mac's brews and then realised he didn't really have any plans apart from dying in battle.

He'd been pretty cool about sharing the runes' lore-especially since I was technically a scion of Loki-so I invited him into a pod and he figured why not, his life couldn't get any weirder.

How wrong he was.

The UAC is still doing experiments with hell portals and argent energy. It would be much more peaceful, but even if the religious fanatics don't fuck things up you can bet the UAC will do something accidentally.

Not many members of the original gang are left. Going roughly in order, there's Tinder, my Charizard. She's never lost her enthusiasm for adventure and is basically the emotional heart of the party. She's gotten a little more violent in combat, though...

Undyne, after dying once, is likewise miraculously unchanged. I think her thrill seeking tendencies have only been exacerbated by the idea she can be brought back to life. She's not allowed to use the motorcycle anymore. Also, despite time in Toriko, her cooking is still...erm, what's the word? Bad.

Bruce Banner was an unexpected addition to the team, and he's stayed on board through the worst of it. Probably the only companion I fear coming to blows with. Ever want to be on the bad side of a Hulk with Gourmet Cells? I hope not.

Bruce, Gaspar, and Daedalus act as the science team. Gaspar in particular is the senile grandpa with occasional words of wisdom, with Daedalus being the 'mom'.

Oh, and we recently picked up Tiffania.

I'm not at liberty to describe how I ended up with this lineup.

uuuh... Oh fuck, where to START?

There's:
-The vampiric police girl who - through meeting figures such as Anubis, Lady Death, and Hel - has slowly evolved into a goddess of death.
-The three individual eight-armed kleptomaniacal but only in regards to weaponry dimension-traveling kabuki-gorillas.
-The Agent of Inquiry, his karate cat-girl lover, the snobbish not!elven Sherlock, and the bumbling good-hearted duo of a floating gas-bag and a punny octopus.
-The man with an electric soul who never asked for this and the blind, gentle cat-girl priestess at his side.
-The rapping meistro & ninja sensei with a friend in his soul who's an ox... octopus... thing...
-The only Aeon to survive, a great dragon who acts as guardian deity to soldiers and those who give their lives to protect others.
-A plucky paladin who, by the rules of her universe, should've died as cannon-fodder on the battlefield - but whose decision to fish me out of space with a harpoon gun set her up for a journey she couldn't have imagined.
-A red-clad demon who has been watching everything with utter bemusement and whose stylish combat remains mostly unchanged due to sheer bullshit levels.

And that's just eight of the slots with pre-existing (Non-OC) Companions.

Does Bridge Officer Descendant confer supernatural powers in settings where royal blood has a supernatural component?

Do you actually need to restrain someone for body transfer or can it be done freely?

It might be a good idea to put down some descriptions about how the Achuultani differ from humans, but then again I guess that's why it's a WIP. In general though, I feel like the perks are overly reliant on blunt statements of capability that don't really tell me what makes the setting unique.

Okay, so vacation is over. Lady of the Lake is a valid parent, fairly broad spread between water, crafting, quests, and maybe some other stuff. More support than frontline fighter though, for full on knighting probably better to go with Arthur or someone else (they're valid, regret that decision a bit but will stand by it).
>>48336372
Let's see, there's Jormangandr, who's a colony of demonic Black Blood Mind Worms. He's the least independent of my companions, usually sticking around in my blood, lazing around, great terror weapon when I can convince him to do anything, especially thanks to Infectious Bite+Embrace the Night.

Then there's Desty Nova, who's Desty Nova. Frankly I'm terrified of the man, and he mostly just does whatever he feels like with me trying to steer him away from some of his less moral experiments, Secrets of Creation is great for providing minds for test subjects to shove in cloned bodies, admittedly it's still horrifically immoral, but less so than dragging random people off the streets. Desty also has tons of ways to tell probability to fuck off because he's busy, as well as Lightning is My Art, and is the guy in charge of producing Gaia Memories for us.

Sechs meanwhile is also from GUNNM, and is the best straight up fighter in the group, except maybe me. On the more esoteric front he's a God Tier Bard of Time, doesn't really use time travel due to the headaches involved and malus of his Class, but can grind his opponents to dust given an appropriate incentive. Usually he's off picking fights with people, including me quite frequently, we were sparring partners in GUNNM because I was a meatbag with Karma Chameleon who ended up having to go through a decent chunk of Last Order (the Space Cult fight was hilarious though).

Bigby from Van Hellsing serves as the jack of all trades, with some focus on stealth. He's the most normal of the group, serving partially as the sane guy to keep the rest of us in check, me included.

Alex - Gardevoir from Pokemon - Kind, caring Relegated to heal slut duties. Group medical expert with lots of doctoring and biological science perks.

Katyusha - Specter from Star Craft - Thinks violence and subterfuge are the answers to all life's problems. Always has some constructive criticism, but then always has my back. Out of all my companions she's probably my biggest heavy hitter.

Saya - Cursed Child from Black Bullet - Bit of a loner, she's kind of seen as the kid sister of the group and has a complex about it. I try and give her responsibility but because of her personality she only deals well with small groups.

Yao - From Gate - Yao is dependable. She makes a very good Adjutant. Still kind of a doofis though, but then aren't we all?

Nymph - From Heaven's lost property - Dedicated AWACS platform who is also mad cute. Fuck you Heaven.

Keine - From Touhou - Group mum. Basically keeps us out of trouble with high spirits.

Morrigan - From Darkstalkers - I just kinda... let her lose on the world in question. Oh sure, she always shows up when I'm having a brawl, but she literally feeds off of entertainment, and if you dedicate yourself to sustaining that lifestyle you're gonna get worn out very quickly. I have her on speed dial for when I'm bored though.

Esdeath - From Akami ga kill - There's a lot I get about Esdeath, and a lot I don't get. She's kind in her own way, but I have to keep her on a tight leash when we're actually fighting battles. Mainly after them, she has this weird sadism that requires her to break several treaties when it comes to POWs. She's been getting better though.

Ever since Warhammer 40k we've been rocking the Gothic armor of the Sororitas. We've been modernising it a bit, adding tech that the admech probably consider heretical to make it lighter and more streamlined, but I really dig the Fleur de Lis as the icon and busting into some heretical conclave with my fellow living saints.

>>48338097
You see I've got Black Blood, am a Greeed and frequently am off my rocker due to drawbacks too. But anyway, Bigby's major scary thing is his Stand, which is basically applying bad quantum physics to himself and other items, combined with Heir of Void and the T2 Void Memory to effectively be impossible to fight easily. Because he's busy making strikes and then immediately going invisible to no longer be "observed" as being in his current location. There's a max range on it, and he needs to have actually been able to have moved to his new position in the time since he was last "observed", but it makes him hell to fight.

Anubis is probably my least friendly companion. Ended up dragging him through most of Stardust Crusaders by force, only really acknowledging me as a user once I beat DIO (turns out drinking Black Blood is a terrible idea). Like Jormangandr he usually comes into combat as a weapon wielded by me, but he's more prone to going off on his own. Doesn't really have as much of a focus for his perks as the others. Though that's partially being fairly new.

Finally we have the Hyuga, who I really need to sit down and actually work out what they do usually. Was our mentor in Naruto, and since has picked up some decent manipulation perks. Probably going to be the party face.

Oh yeah, and an honorable mention goes to Kamen Rider Arsenal, which is really just Jormangandr, Sechs, Hyuga, and Anubis using the Prism Driver. It's effectively a compression of all my best companions for a fight into one body. Generally great for wrecking stuff, and has pulled off some absurd feats.

Honestly Heroic Spirits are a bit much of a headache. Even if there's a couple you can make halfway decent arguments for they're awful for actually designing a power set for. I'm probably just going to do a blanket no on them. Something like Gaia or Alaya might kinda work, but HS are an utter clusterfuck.
>>48338236
Moros would be a weird parallel to the Drop In line. Your sight would be a lot more constrained, being mostly related to the death or other dooms of various things. Practically speaking this gives you the ability to discern what (if any) style of death a target is fated to fall to, the ability to declare such a fated death if the target lacks one, vastly increased abilities when acting to bring about such a demise, forcing people into binding oaths, accelerating the decay and destruction of objects or your surroundings, and some general stealth stuff.
>>48338221
I admit there's been some stupid stuff in the past, but don't want to declare builds retroactively invalid, so ones already through remain. Arthur especially was partially because it was a sort of condensation of myths about various gods and heroes. It works for real world mythology, though not most other settings.
>>48338302

Well, Loki has the fun habit to sleep with non-humanoid things and sire non-human things. And even when he sleeps with humanoid things, his partner rarely gives birth to humanoid stuff.

Most of Nordic monsters are either Loki's children or his grandchildren.

Your family reunions sure must be awkward. Although I'm sure it beats dinning with Papa Nya and the rest of the family. Which is usually are also Papa Nya itself.

Okay, cool. Tech perks are awesome, and four of them is really gonna hurt my budget for the jump.

And no problem on wip state, just saying what I'm missing. Alchuultani's vagueness is indeed probably in part because of the lack of perks for them currently. But I usually put a short-ish description of alien species in their Origin description myself. Right now they seem... bug-ish, with AI masters according to the drawback?

Speaking of origins, the imperial remnants start... on the Dahak, or on Earth? And when did this mutiny happen?

Not much else... Maybe more of a description of 22nd century Earth or something?

Body Transfer needs a mention of it being a surgical technique...

But what you have seems damn cool, and looking forward to seeing it being completed.

Most Servants are perfectly allowable if you allow King Arthur to be used. Heck, your excuse of condensations of myths is perfect for most HS. Sure guys like Billy the Kid or Nikola Tesla wouldn't work, but Cu Chulainn, Lancelot, Karna and so on all work just fine. You can't have it both ways if you want to keep Arthur as a valid choice.

If you're too lazy to do it yourself, at least don't ban them if other people are willing to put in the work.

So, I have only 4 companions, all of whom have collectively become the Goddesses of Travellers and their Journeys, they are all also my weapons and armor:
> Akitsu
Sekirei and Guardian Goddess, she's also a Death Scythe, one of a set of paired Jian. As for her powers, well, alongside her Sekirei powers, she's also a Brush God (Protect (庇)), has adaptive evolution, manipulates sound, and has total command over water and all its forms.
> Hyuuga
Fog Battleship and Road Goddess, she's my armor. On top of being a powerful battleship, she is a brush goddess (Journey (途)) can manipulate the earth, space, gravity, and light. She also has a system in place that allows her to digitize magic and then use it as a strictly tech-based capability.
> Kirishima
KanMusume and Knowledge Goddess, she's in a weird place compared to the others in regards to being my weapon/armor, think of her as a grimoire. Now, on top of her bs as a KanMasu and as a brush goddess (Answer (解)), she's also my Unison Device, a monster cat, and makes weather her bitch on top of the quite frankly ridiculous amounts of magic she has gathered. Basically, I managed to give her the Book of Darkness' ability to archive magic and she's been teaching Hyuuga everything she knows.
> Kurumu
Succubus and Obstacle Goddess, she's the other Jian of the paired set of Death Scythes. She's also a brush goddess (Hinder (障)), has gourmet cells and complete control over her body down to the molecule, creates illusions that can become real, and summons creatures of dreams to do battle for her.

Aside from their unique capabilities, there are some abilities that were too good not to have all of them possess. Potter magic, Haki, Magic from Magi, Aura, Stands, Bending, and The Force;there's also the Shaman perk from the King Arthur Jump I had to grab for them all because what kind of goddess can't communicate with nature?

On top of this, I personally have perks that enhances everyone's abilities and power just by being together, such as Risk Breaker (FF12), Aura of Strength (FoZ), and Pentakai Bench (KA)(We ALL have this one). SO honestly speaking, I actually have no idea how strong these girls are now, only that I'm pretty certain that they could solo their settings' most powerful being.

As for uniforms, we have one, a simple military-style dress uniform, without any form of badges or insignia aside from my personal seal I got back in Bayonetta on the buttons, belts, and ties. Black suit, white shirt, and a colored tie that matches the possessor's favorite color.

We haven't had many opportunities to bust the uniform out, but when we do, it's always a glorious moment.

That doesn't apply in Nasu or pretty much any other work of fiction (except Campione), and you might've missed me stating it repeatedly but Arthur is one of the few I regret giving the go ahead. And once more, the logic for his inclusion doesn't work for imports where he was an actual person, which is pretty much every setting with him in it. The Round Table would effectively be akin to the Roman aspects of the canonical Greek Gods, only with even more of a disparity between the two personalities. And yes, you could maybe go for importing Nasu, but it would be more Gaia, Alaya, Amaterasu and so on for people we actually have enough info on to make a decent powerset out of, and a lot of the high end would be nerfed heavily. Being a Heroic Spirit is far too broad and reaching a generalization, and while some might qualify, most won't.

And frankly it seems like an attempt to get NPs without expending Servant Supplement usages. With DC there was at least a decent argument for the Emotional Spectrum and an easy way to point at stuff to nerf, and Naruto I regret thoroughly, and was before Boruto came along and made Kaguya one of many.

As for our relationship, it's a mix between close family, lovers, and a well-oiled military unit. I mean, on one hand, we have so much dirt on each other that we could completely kill any and all respect that the target could have gotten on a world, but on the other, our biggest berserk button is harming one of us. We often find ourselves doing things together without any words shared, like how we would find ourselves in the kitchen and preparing a meal then two of us would leave to shop for missing ingredients even if we never discussed what we'd be eating for dinner.

At the end of the day though, we have each other, because other than Jump-chan, we have no one else, and it shows in how when we hurt each other, the barbs go in deep, or when we try to keeps ourselves together, the attempt is fueled by desperation.

Considering the levels of bullshit you've allowed, ranging from things that aren't gods and do exist in setting to allowing entire settings to be brought over, I feel like it's pretty certain you're just showing your bias against one series. Is it too much to ask that you just show some consistency instead of banning things that you allowed previously? Why does Naruto let you import things that are definitely not gods (Aliens) and did exist in setting (Which you say is why you can't import things like HS) and Nasu doesn't? If you're not going to Nasu to import that type of thing, you should ban it from Naruto as well and limit people to what actual gods exist there.

If you're just going to use that tired old "I don't want to invalidate builds" then don't bother replying, I'll just choose them myself.
>>
>>48338640
I don't want to get around using the Supplement and id appreciate not being accused (Unless you're just responding to that one guy in which case sorry for accusing you of accusing me). Even if I did, most NPs are based on things that exist in actual legends, so I can just pick an existing pantheon and get a (usually) similar version from there, though that might not work for some nps.. It might not be the same but close enough, and it's not qwhat I care about anyway. I want to import them because I think it'd be cool to have some of the servants there as parents and that considering what you allowed in the past, they'd be perfectly acceptable and there's be no reason to turn them down. I can do the research myself and post what I think is fair here for you to judge if you want but id really like if I could at least get the chance instead of being shut down immeadiately.

-The Police Girl with the big titties
-A broken prodigy, with a fate of ash and dust defied.
-A scarlet goddess of the sword.
-Female Sampson without Delilah.
-The half-breed, rescued from a cold and lonely world.
-The huntress who relishes in the blood of the wolf.
-A knight of sunlight, so grossly incandescent.
-Saving the final slot for when if Seven Deadly Sins is made into a jump.

They're less the kind of companions people think of, and more "systems that so happen to have gained sapience and filled companion slots"

-Clank (Girl Genius): Companion. Upgraded tremendously, then further improved themselves with the GAM in order to become a technorganic being. Named themselves 'Weaver', looks like a pale pretty boy with black hair to the shoulders and one arm obviously looking mechanical.
-Motherbox (DC Comics): Remember the DPP? The glorious supercomputer that analyzes magic? Turns out when you install a bunch of upgrades, that intellect grows. She's also named 'Rebecca', and is keen as hell. Likes to look like a tall, tanned amazon.
-Mr. Handy (Fallout: -My ever faithful robot butler. Not a companion, but upgraded tremendously. He's also snarky as hell, and looks like a gold-and-ivory floating bot that's oval and has two arms.
-Jurai Treesx5 (Tenchi Muyo): A quartet of four trees in my warehouse with a massive fifth one, the main one, in the middle. Currently a single companion on account of becoming a gestalt being named 'Omoikane'.
-A.I. (Project Freelancer): Got merged with Ghost from 'Destiny'. He became a friend that just wants to help folks out, talk and lift the spirits. He ended up choosing the name 'Wilhelm'.
-WebGoblin (Webmage): Definitely unplanned. Companion. Rebecca ended up modifying them, turning them into a dark-skinned girl focused on justice and being Batman. Named 'Claire'.
-Soul of the Forge (World of Warcraft): Summoned while on Draenor, it grew and developed. Now a companion named 'George', imagine a lava elemental that looks like a wide-hipped trap. I blame Rebecca for this.
-Egg of White (FFXII: RW): Grows into a Yiazmat, enhanced and made protector of the Garden. Of course being the Garden... let's just say the fucker had his fair share of wheaties. Now a companion named 'Delos', haven't decided appearance yet.

...it's pretty much a running theme of "oops".

Not those guys but isn't the whole "You are just buying this to get around one jump's cp limit" kinda a problem the Percy jump makes if you import almost anything from another setting? Naruto, Lovecraft, DC, that one norse jump with the ebonics. Seems a tad unfair to judge one setting by that when it's a universal problem. I can understand if it's because Fate seems more prominent given how much it gets discussed.

Also, if you're worried about NPs, couldn't they just get them from people that come along when they import the gods they were allowed to pick? I'm not sure if I remember right, but I think you said something when DC (Or was it Naruto? They seem pretty interchangeable in this context) came up that the non-god characters get imported as heroes or wizards?
>>
>>48338755
The existing in the setting thing on King Arthur is because as I mentioned previously IRL mythology stole and adapted a good deal of gods to flesh things out. By definition if Arthur existed as a person in the setting that didn't happen. Naruto was stupid but at least had the imported beings largely being treated as deific figures (and as mentioned we hadn't had the revalation about Kaguya having family yet), Heroic Spirits you occasionally get some of that, but it's nowhere near universal and the exception rather than the rule.
>>48338792
As I said, going with one of the ones that's a fragment of a deity (Herc, and Tamamo for instance) works. Gil might get in on the 2/3s God and original HS thing, but would be more focused on tyranny and innovation instead of throwing thousands of magic swords at your foes (even with a Divine Artifact purchase). As for NPs, Nasu tends to distort a lot of them, by default you might get Gae Bolg that fills your foe with thorns after you look stupid doing a ridiculous ritual to activate it, but not causality breaking Gae Bolg. And keep in mind most NPs have DRM.
>>48338961
Lovecraft you get stuff severely different from the jump, DC the Ring ended up extremely distorted through the lens of it being a fantasy series instead of the scifi of GL, and Norse is more or less inevitable since there's an actual series for that. Naruto I regret specifically because it ended up purely as that. It also partially gets into power levels, a lot of Fate's popularity is due to easy conceptual BS, which is a fairly anomalous as opposed to rings or magic systems that are relatively simple to replicate the basic functions of.

but that's not what I asked. You're still not letting me import things you allowed in Naruto and now you're saying you can only do it if they're part god, something you never enforced untilnow and youeven have non gods in your own jump, you even pointout in your post they only needed to be treated as gods. why are you still putting limits on this setting that you haven't on any other setting? It's not fair for you to say they get through on the grandfather clawse but nothing else does. could you just use one set of rules instead of a dozen? you say they need to be part god but arthur isn't, you say they can't have existed in a setting if they're like arthur but you've allowed things that do.

Sure, in a way that you can justify 60-70% of all mythological figures being based on gods since cultures often played mix and match with the legends of places around and before them to make their own, usually changing names and adding some of their own flavour. Hell even major religions do it.
>>
>>48338640
Wait wait wait. You say that imports don't work for where he's an actual person, does that mean he doesn't exist in Percy Jackson even if you choose him? You just get a bunch of myths tied together rather then him having been a thing in universe if you pick that option which isn't an import?

Grandfathering applies only to past stupid decisions of mine to let settings in. As for this being something unique to my arguments on Nasu, no it's not. DC got ES, New Gods, and slightly tweaked Greeks, maybe a couple others I'm forgetting, it didn't have say Superman as a valid parent. What I'm saying is no, just being a HS isn't enough to qualify because there's loads of them that aren't gods or revered as such at all. Some can get in on their own merits though. Naruto was the Sage, his brother, his kids, Kaguya, that Shinigami thing, and the Tailed Beasts.
>>48339359
He's as real as any of the other gods, what is said to have happened in the myths happened. He just also has origins and (very) mild split personality as some of the older gods of the surrounding area. The actual person bit is more because his divinity is solely by the fact that his legends are derived from older myths, some godling that actually existed and ascended in another setting's history is fine. Even imports are kinda subject to mythic drift, but it's guaranteed that they'll be pretty much the versions in the bit of fiction. There might be some weird in jump anthropology about the Nasuvian Cult or something, but you get approximately the same.
>>48339183
You get some reflections of people vital to their myths or such. It gets less reliable or accurate as you fan out though. As for powersets Gaia would get you antimagic, access to the Far Side of the World or similar realms, command of beasts and nature spirits, protection from the risks of the wilderness, and summoning animals or natural phenomena with some effort. Alaya meanwhile would be something like charisma, a prophetic talent for finding things that threaten your species, luck scaling with the strength of your foe, a knack for technology or other human created systems, and maybe some way of drawing strength from your allies.

Ar Tonelico question time. I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could help me out with this.

I've been staring at the Wiki's Song Science entries for a few days now, barely understanding much of it, but I'm getting the gist. I understand that the SH Server is the main linkage between Reyvateils and the Tower. The Nuclear Triangular Loop is involved too, some sort of buffer/power unit that keeps the Reyvateils from using their own life force to power their songs. The lack of one in Third Generations is why they only live to be 40 or so years old even with the best of medical care.

My question is, do Reyvateils absolutely /have/ to be built the way that they are? Could their biological bodies be swapped out with artificial ones like the ones from GUNNM? I understand that I wouldn't be able to just slap a Reyvateil in a GUNNM cyborg body and have it work out of the gate, but modifications could be made to allow the artificial body to accept and transmit Song Magic Energy. But are the fleshy bits really required for some part of the process I'm not grasping?

>>Little fun fact:
I did gather that from the Wiki, that's not quite what I meant by my question. Though, agreed, Evangelion would be an appropriate place to further my research.

My question deals more with swapping out the body entirely though. I don't want to use the strange biofluid/biomass for the Reyvateils' body. I'd much prefer to use artificial bodies with full AIs (or simply transplanted brainwaves in Brain Bio-Chips). This is expressly for allowing Reyvateils to not simply collapse when removed from the radius of their Home Tower, but also for a massive tech project I'm working on.

I never agreed with one side, just that I understand where both sides are coming from.

Some people want to go the extra distance, some don't. This doesn't make any one side wrong. It's just a playstyle, and hasn't the design process of the chain evolved to try and accommodate these playstyles? I'm just not sure where this sudden "if you don't agree with us you never read and you're a stupid slut" bit came from. All playstyles have their merits.

Then fly on, my friend. Fly and never let the ground chain you again.

>>48340129
This pleases me so much. So very very much.

>>48340175
Mmm, fair point. You know, GUNNM just might be the thing then, their nanites are pretty well bullshit anyhow. If any place would assist in an artificial body, it's probably there.

Really the only thing im confused about is why Nasu when the originals exist
>>
>>48340230
Why exalted when you could just pick some existing sun god that vaguely resembles something from that setting? Why cthulhu mythos when you just pick some kinda scary god that already exists? Because people like those characters.
>>
>>48340209
No, you assumed it was because people wanted shiny stuff, said that those sorts weren't okay with being second place and then expressed you sympathised more with the other guy. You still didn't read the posts and just made whatever assumptions you thought were likely.

>Shau'
Dark Eldar. Wears whatever she wants. Loves sportscars, and any vehicle that does fast, really. Can be cruel but actually loving and all that. Great sense of humor. Very close relationship. waifu i guess?
>Goon
Slow russian man whose picture you would find in the dictionary next to the word 'beefcake'. Fairly Durable and has some great summons. Wields a bigass hammer. We're good friends, but he's still my bodyguard. Enjoys Alcohol
>Socko
A sentient rice filled sock. Hops around and stuff. Eventually i'll get him some magic or whatever. He's just happy to be around. Sounds and acts like a small child.
>>48336860
Pretty high i guess. Dying isn't really an issue. I can slice through whatever i want. Only thing i'm missing is some way to kill/harm ideas or beings of the like. I'm sure there's some way to do it.
>>
>>48340163
I'm not condemning them on any grounds like going for power? It's not really what my post was about. I'm just wondering why people want to be Gil's or Solomon's kid, or whatever. It doesn't seem like it'd be much different from just getting Nasuverse stuff from the jumps for it.

It was more of a general statement, than a complaint.

"Usual Companion Line-up"?
I usually try to switch them out pretty often. Though Alice(My Alakazam) and Trisha(My Ninetails) show up pretty often.
The strength of my Companions varies WILDLY
Married to most of them, Friends with like 30 of them, and four of them are adopted children.
Everyone does their own thing, though I do insist on TRYING to fit in with the current setting.

Fuck I dunno. I always thought of myself as a low-tier jumper. But then someone did the math on all of the Super Modes I've picked up, and apparently if I turn them all on at once it's scary. Then a bunch of people decided to re-start their chains, while I'm still(slowly) going.
So a Mid-high tier? I guess?

I can neither confirm nor deny anything at this point in time. The situation is complicated and requires a thorough investigation before any conclusion can be drawn about the subject.

>>48340060
Two Gods, there's another one in the background next to the other fort.

>>48340123
That's Ligier not Malfeas you stupid fuck! Malfeas is a whiny angry cunt who's mad at everything. Ligier is the Green Sun and all that's left of the Great Theion. Ligier is awesome, and an actual Bro. Malfeas is a cunt.

It is because people want shiny stuff, though. Just because all pantheons are power-scaled doesn't mean that the Nasuverse pantheon won't have shit that combines well with other Nasuverse stuff where the Greco-Roman Gods wouldn't.

Its kinda hard to not be at least somewhat sympathetic towards jumpmakers these days in terms of those endlessly swamped with questions and subsequent rulings and objections

Makes it harder to get working if this is the reward

I have one companion, because houserules. She's about as strong as me, because I import her every Jump where I don't take a No Companions Drawback.
We're married.
No, I'm not that controlling.
>>48336860
Decently high for where I am in the chain, but lower than it could be if I went for raw power over intelligence and tricks (And knew more about D&D).

Even if you swap the biofluid for something else, it won't work because the SH Server isn't a mere linkage point to the Tower: it contains and processes the data for all the Reyvateils' minds and souls, with the Triangular Nuclear Loop being the one carrying out and maintaining the connection to the Server in addition to serving as their heart. So you'd just end up with an immobile doll if you did that and tried to take them away from their Tower's range without a relay device available.
