While it may be Black Library (and thus trashy), I really enjoyed the Vampire Genevieve series.
The books follow a Vampire (named Genevieve) who falls in love with Not-Shakespeare, saves an Empire and other stuff. Notably though, is that Genevieve is more of a plot device rather than a protagonist. Two of the books (out of four as I recall, been a while) are entirely about side characters who solve murder mysteries and other things. In these novels, Genevieve rarely shows up. But the books as a whole are incredibly cosey despite the Warhammer label. The playhouse, the Gym (yeah), the Waterfront, Street of a Hundred Taverns, all feel very nice to dip into it, even if they're not nice places in and of themselves.
