Messenger anon here. Can I... Ask whats Messenger going to be in? I doubt I will oppose whatever it is, but I'd like to know.
That being said, seemingly there was some scuffle about content? I feel super guilty about this since I have done nothing with any of my flakes. Well Messenger mainly since Beep is unusable. Does anyone have any ideas what story to do with it? I am worthless shit so I cant promise I will do anything, but I'd like suggestions anyway. Its just funny how Messenger has done so very little interracting with anyone, especially the more prominent flakes in these threads.

Honestly, he's one of those flakes that you either have to do a one-shot with, have interact with oldwalkers, or make him unglued. Powerful flakes are limited in story potential(or at least in the capacity of a flake teamup) for that reason.

Messenger is powerful? Perhaps with a lot of prep time but I dont know, otherwise he just drops summoned myrs on people and hope they stop moving, he doesnt really have other tools with him.

that's why I've got a policy of staying away from relevant planes for writing. makes things too tricky and could mean that I wasted a lot of time writing.

Thanks, friend. Innistrad is the only plane I know well. This is a jokey kind of story anyway so I guess I don't need to be too accurate but I'm mostly interested in what kind of aesthetic Ravnica has, is it comparable to any Earth cultures?

So, most of Ravnica is city. People still use animals and carts to move stuff (with huge creatures like locopedes acting as trains, and zeppelins being a thing that also exist), but it's all divided up into streets and districts. Some parts of the city are more blatantly territory to certain groups than others, and every guild has a purpose. However, a lot of people are still guildless.
Basically, just imagine a huge fantastic city. There are people of all kinds providing all matter of services. A typical scene in Ravnica is probably takes place on a street with lots of merchant stalls or between shady figures in an alleyway. There are all kinds of races, and the concept of mana as a source of power for devices is not typically so much in the hands of commonors, but forms some kind of technology for people that are knowledgeable about that kind of thing (terms like pyromana or necrobiomanalogical exist).
And the city has laws. Oh, man, does it have laws. The city could be just about anything, but the Guildpact is what stops it from just totally descending into chaos. In the past, the laws put the guildless at a serious disadvantage, but I think that it's not as bad as it used to be given the events of RtR.

During the first Ravnica set, nobody knew about House Dimir.
As far as anyone was concerned, there were nine guilds. The 10th one was like an old folk tale. Even in stories about the signing of the Guildpact, it would be rare for anyone to include Szadek in the story.
This is because House Dimir signed themselves into being a secret as part of the Guildpact. It was illegal for the other paruns that signed or anyone who would work for/replace them to ever reveal that Dimir existed (and most people didn't even know).
During the Ravnica: the City of Guilds book, Szadek attempted to destroy the Guildpact. In the ensuing brawl, he was arrested by Agros Kos, which broke the rule of the Guildpact that no one was allowed to reveal his existence, and therefore weakened the Guildpact.
People are aware of House Dimir now, but it's more or less impossible to know if anyone is a member, because they just blend in.

This is actually true about some people that are "Guildless." The thing is too that because House Dimir operates in secrecy, it's hard to tell if things are actually the work of hired hands, if a Guild was involved, or if House Dimir did it and framed someone else.
House Dimir mostly gets by acting as couriers, librarians, and pretty much anything information-related. They also of course are good at spying, sabotage, and assassinations.

Angels are a pretty rare sight.
In the Ravnica block, the Angels of the Boros Legion are the highest-tier of the entire guild, with Razia at the top. Feather (or Pierakor az Vinrenn D'rav) was only working among the Wojek because she was disgraced. The angels were up in the Parhelion, a floating fortress that docked at Sunhome.
Basically, during that period, you basically won't ever see angels except for in the most severe situations that threaten the city.
However, the angels went to investigate Szadek's meddlings and sailed the Parhelion into Agyrem, where Szadek's ghost then proceeded to basically turn the spirits against them and murdered them. When Feather arrives to give testimony regarding the disappearance of the angels in Dissension, she believes that she may be the only one left.
This turned out to not be the case, because Wizards loves to be able to print angels.
The point being the angels are at the height of Boros military affairs. Most people will never be graced by the sight of one.

That's because killing angels is a really cheap and easy way to show things are bad. Similarly corrupting angels is the easiest way to create cheap horror as they are normally perfect beings.

Angels in the streets is pretty uncommon. People are gonna be like "Whoa, wait, is that an angel?" and then have some kind of fear or reverence in response. Even going off of card lore instead of the books, you're only really going to find angels in the Legion or some rare, more disgraceful angels supporting big members of the Church of Orzhova, which makes seeing them anywhere else pretty strange. Well, the simple solution is that Feather was wrong, that not all of them were on the Parhelion at the time - some stayed behind doing Borosy Things What Needed Doing, and she was just assuming that they all died. More were made after in the same manner (though without Razia herself around, they had to rely on the remaining angels, and being copies of copies means things are less similar), but some of the survivors and/or the new ones were disillusioned due to everything going on and decided to strike out on their own.

The fact that the angels were missing is a big point here. They were all missing when Szadek began wrecking the city, and it was a huge red flag that no angels were there to respond to the threat that was being raised between him and Savra, the kind of thing on such a level that it would be unbelievable that any angel wouldn't rise up to the challenge. Because the angels are all gone, Feather leaves to investigate, and doesn't re-appear until several years later, right at the end of the Guildpact book, and she has a first-hand account that all of the angels are dead or dying. And sure enough, the Parhelion is littered with the bodies of dead angels when they go to it in Dissension, and it crashes into and explodes in the Azorius Senate, leaving no possible living survivors inside.
I'm not just saying "there shouldn't be angels," I'm saying "there really can't be angels," and saying that they mostly ignored the books while designing RtR.

Really, the first block's cards don't tell much of a story. They just carry flavor and mechanics.The lore is all carried by the books.
This is why it was highly disappointing when the card designs in RtR do a good job of discussing what would have logically happened in the interim between the blocks (with the Guildless uprising), but acknowledge the previous story and characters almost not at all otherwise.
It was disappointing to old Ravnica fans when Feather was replaced in the Boros Legion by Aurelia. It was disappointing that Kos just vanishes. They hinted at Szadek's ghost through the implication that Lazav gets orders from somewhere else, but then don't acknowledge the conflict that Kos and Szadek were going to have in Ayrem, which was then merged with the plane again instead of just being a blister that spirits exist in.
Bonus points because they used the Mending as an excuse to ditch Agyrem and just say "it's gone and nobody's sure why" so the old plot can't rear it's head in the new block.
The only thing that really stands out from the old character list is that Jarad is running the Golgari now, and that he's still undead like he was at the end of Dissension.

It'd be nice if the whole sheet were bigger; I can only recognize about half of your preferred spells on sight, and not quite all of the artifacts.

I think it can vary walker to walker honestly but, I assumed its just...take a step as if walking and suddenly you're there. Its a meta-physical experience but. my thought for Revas is he focuses on a singular thing that he wants to go for and plays Planar Roulette, its how he found Innistrad for example.

Originally, Ka'koarm would just blip in and out of planes with ease, but as he grew in power and master of his art, so too did plane's attempts to resist him and his unnatural ways. Nowadays, his advent is usually heralded by a large blister forming in the sky, before hatching in a bright flash of light with a loud, otherworldly sound, before vanishing and leaving a floating Ka'koarm to descend to the earth once gravity recognizes his existence.

I honestly didn't want to because I hate modern Magic stories so much, but thats where everything is happening/everyone is now and I didn't really have other ideas, neither did I get suggestions. A halo of golden light that grows to engulf her entire silhouette before fading to leave nothing in her wake. When she arrives, a similar radiance swells into being and she emerges from it. It's a pleasant, tranquil process.
When she leaves a plane, it's immediate. Where she was standing, an empty-headed clone is left in her place that gradually disintegrates into flakes of ice. Similarly, she emerges on the plane she arrives at in a similar burst of frost.
His planeswalking isn't fancy at all. All it requires is that he is shrouded in darkness or at least some sort of shadow and then he's gone, as though he was never there. Similarly, he emerges from a place of shade on another plane.
When moving at an appropriately breakneck speed, he suddenly disappears with a loud and disorientating 'boom' similar to that of an object breaking the sound barrier. He reappears on another plane in a similar fashion, still running.
He crumbles away into rubble, dust and dry, dead earth that disintegrates into smaller pieces until nothing is left. Upon arrival, he displaces some existing soil and has to claw his way free of his earthen womb. In his old age, this has become harder.
It's fun to imagine this sort of stuff.

Vronak (probably)- The details were never established, but I imagine it wasn't all bad, since it is what first led to her curiosity of black mana and necromancy.
Narimi- From what I can tell, they were friends. They met before Narimi ascended, and found they had much in common. They enjoyed their teatime, and probably hung out for awhile. Narimi helped teach Gaia worldshaping.
William- They met before he ascended. They fell in love, got married, and had kids. But it ended tragically with Will's ignition, partially prompting Gaia to make an isolated plane.
Belagir- He's her planar-born kid.
As for my other flakes, Belagir knows Gaia (duh); Cock and Rock; Spider mom has probably encountered Belloski, and is on her way to encountering the Cathar, Nishal, Iosha, Serena, and maybe Murdock; I have no idea who Myxxzzikt knows.

No, not an old walker, and most of it is just for show, but his magic is specifically designed to out-will what is and supplant it with what is desired, so this manifests in a lot of flashy and dramatic ways. He isn't as powerful as a god, but he's probably capable of a lot of things they aren't. The whole plane blistering thing is purely aesthetic, for instance, he doesn't /actually/ have the power to physically damage a whole plane. yet, but he can reverse or negate things that should not be possible, like the deaths of others or whether or not a specific animal actually is real, as seen in his card list.

From the flakes list, Serena, Azof, Rakkor, Amund, Probably Johannes, Phylakteos, Probably Huija, Immoran, Razorcock by default, Gaia by default, Will, Rakkan, as much as I hate to admit, Vronak, Astarte probably(?), Maka, Sephren, Rinara
are all the flakes I can think of at either Ka'koarms power or higher, by how I'm visualizing it. That said, I don't know all of their backstories to their fullest.

Its pretty much this. He is capable of summoning tons of myr to defend himself, but his real strength comes after he had the prep time to build the automated systems that convert the plane's resources to an actual myr army. And if it gets to that point, the army just wont end.
