For all my years of larping, I have had one of such encounters.
It was a warhammer live, where I was part of a unit of dark elven mercenaries called "Kathys' Edges".
We managed to cross the battlefield while most units were engaged in combat. This allowed us to charge their archer formations, sending most of them running useless and outright slaughtering one of them. Our side won that day, and we felt like a huge part of that accomplishment. After the immediate battle we held a blood ritual, then joined the army for the feasts and festivities.
Here, our captain told me to sit by her side. We talked, mostly ICly, but sometimes OOCly, and played off each other really well. We barely knew each other OOCly (Friend-of-a-friend), but we found that we had a lot in common.
The third and final night of the event, we spent the night together in her tent. For the purpose of this thread, we were at least somewhat IC.

Constantly. LARPs are basically how I get laid period, I don't even go for the role play, I go for picking up chicks because /tg/irls are always and invariably vulnerable whores.
And I don't even bang the unattractive or fat ones, or the fixer-uppers, I strictly go for the passable ones who are skinny and take care of themselves (in fact, come to think of it, they're MUCH more common than ugly/fat ones, who are very rare in LARP.)
I've been inconsistently trawling LARPs for sex for about four years now. I'm rarely even aware of the story unless its relevant to my efforts to sleep with someone. Most of these women are not single, either - many of them have hobbyist boyfriends, and many don't. Some have even been married, but none for longer than a year or two that I'm aware of.

Probably, yes. Actually the way I got into my first LARP was, I was hanging out at a euro-style cafe in Los Angeles and I was talking to a woman who I had met there. She told me about a Vampire: The Masquerade larp they were doing and invited me to try it out, gave me a time and date, and I tried it. Thought it was pretty lame all in all but it was a veritable treasure trove of sexual relations. One woman I slept with suggested I join her for ANOTHER larp, and it's been a long chain of people recommending other LARPs ever since.
Los Angeles is really, really crowded, so there's way more LARPs here than you'd think.
