It's common practice to use the worse quality cuts for well done steak because it won't taste different. Order it close to well done instead and you'll get higher quality meat you can send back to the chef to burn if you really need it to.

They ordered cuts of meat that are best cooked less than that, from animals that have been selectively bred over many generations to produce meat that is tastiest rare or medium.

Yes, personal preferences vary, but it's like drinking Dom Perignon out of an old army boot, or setting cold drinks on an antique table without a coaster. You're using beautiful things in ways that degrade the work that went into crafting them, and in almost all cases it's because you either don't care or don't understand their history beyond the price tag - otherwise you'd use a more suitable object to achieve the same result, at a better price.

>>47419735
Actually yes, yes they do. That's how democracy fucking works, everyone gets to have 'feelings', or as adults call them, 'political views', and share them without being silenced by whoever has a gun. You're thinking of a dictatorship, that's the one where only the people with guns get to have political opinions.
>>
>>47419802
If you don't want to be a responsible member of the militia, then that's on you.
Also, the ATF would have a collective aneurysm and then shoot millions of dogs if the government started arming every member of the militia (Including the non-citizens) with the same gear the National Guard gets. And then taxes would probably be raised to cover the cost to boot.

You know, all things considered, nuclear deterrence did prevent another major world war. Sure proxy wars were fought all over the place, but nothing compared to the level of destruction WWI and WWII brought.
>>
>>
>>47419894
The 2A isn't needed to stop people taking it away. It exists on the idea that either A: the government will become dictatorship and the people will need to revolt, or B: the british will kick down your door.

A: the government IS corrupt, YOU haven't and won't do shit about that with your gun because you don't want to fight, you just want to play with your toy and pretend it makes you a big man. Plus, if the government comes for your guns you COULDN'T fight them off, because your AK isn't going to take down their drones and tanks.
B: a land invasion of America is unfeasible to the point of impossibility.

There is no justification for you NEEDING your gun other than that you WANT it. Your "Right to bear arms" has lost all it's original justification and is now nothing more than the circular logic of "I need this gun in case someone says I can't have it".

>>47419900
Yeah it was liberal policies that destroyed detroit, all those liberal policies we don't have in any way shape or form. Not corrupt politicians stealing money and the decline of industry in America. You know nothing about Detroit whatsoever, don't pretend you do, and don't just lie about shit to try and bolster your argument.

Nobody said anything about deterrence. Rather, if something is normalized in daily life, such as people everywhere with guns, then it's no big thing to see someone else with a gun. No crime is being committed, so no big deal.

But the fact that you brought up deterrence is an additional plus, so thanks.

>It exists on the idea that either A: the government will become dictatorship and the people will need to revolt, or B: the british will kick down your door.

Since we have a presidential candidate who has declared the goal of removing it, and another presidential candidate that is widely believed to be about to herd people into death chambers, I'd say the chance that the 2A will become immediately relevant is 50-100%.

>Plus, if the government comes for your guns you COULDN'T fight them off,

If the government is using tanks and drones on its own citizens, guess what, the new American Revolution is a guaranteed success and the US Federal Government will have lost all its credibility.

>There is no justification for you NEEDING your gun other than that you WANT it.

1. Its a civil right.
2. Again, democrats mostly believe Literally Hitler has a chance of being elected, and Hillary has declared her intent to destroy the 2A. Therefore, its completely justified.

>Your "Right to bear arms" has lost all it's original justification

Not at all, its more relevant than ever.

>the decline of industry in America.

Thanks unions! Even now, behind curtain #3, there's a candidate less likely to kill millions of people, who nonetheless STRONGLY believes that all Americans who earn $14.99/hr or less need to lose their jobs, and whose policies will chase more and more corporations out of America. Hillary has likewise stated her intent to close down the coal industry and who knows what else.

So yes, you and the other liberals want to see the same factors that destroyed Detroit, ruin the rest of America. Not to mention that you are against people's constitutional rights.

Are you against freedom of speech too, or just the right that ensures America alone keeps its freedom of speech?
>>
>>47419976
>If everyone has guns nobody will shoot people
Yes, if everyone has the ability to shoot, nobody will. What the fuck kind of backwards logic is that? If you soak everything in gasoline nothing will ever burn down right? Because then it will be normalized and fire will stop existing.

I would definitely feel safer if every time someone gets angry they have the ability to shoot a fucking gun. Fuck it, why not just make everyone carry grenades too, that will stop bombing. Make everyone carry crack, no more drug problems.

I'm sure if we got rid of traffic laws then nobody would get in car crashes.

>your AK isn't going to take down their drones and tanks.

Any sort of active resistance against the government would not come in the form of massed armies that could be safely blown away with tanks and drone strikes. It would be massed terrorist/insurgency action aimed at the government and its supporting bodies. The US army didn't exactly make a great showing of itself during its various wars in the Middle East when people used those tactics against them, so I wouldn't write off the ability of a large, motivated, country-wide civilian milita to at the very least disrupt and demoralize the government army. Especially since any action taken against them is going to be spun off as "US GOVERNMENT ATTACKS CIVILIANS" by any and all non-sympathetic press peices the world over.

Of course the problem with this is that most people are fat, lazy, and content to let the rampant corruption and abuses of power endemic to modern government continue just so long as they have a steady supply of iPads and Netflix.

Not if they violate another's rights. y'know, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? If someone is mentally unstable or criminally inclined, then their right to a gun doesn't trump my right to live, because giving them a gun puts other people's lives in danger.

It's not black and white, these rights don't exist without context.

>W-we're gonna overthrow the government if it gets REALLY bad, it just hasn't gotten there yet.
Yeah sure thing buddy. Considering the one and ONLY thing you seem to need guns for is protecting your guns, I don't think you should have guns. You're not standing up for anything. you're not actually making a statement about freedom or rights. You're never going to oppose the government or you would have by now. But you haven't, nobody has, nobody is doing a god damn thing. You're being wiretapped, Americans are getting drones set on them, people disappear when the government doesn't like what they say. When exactly are you going to stand the fuck up and do something with that gun you need so much?

Whenever the time comes to fucking stand up and do something you say "well sure things are bad, BUT AS LONG AS I KEEP MY GUN IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD". You just want a toy that makes you feel strong. And they're never going to take away your toy because as long as you get to shoot soupcans and jerk off over it, you'll let them do whatever they want.
You hide with a gun while others are willing to stand up with nothing but picket signs.

And it's unconstitutional because it gives a single entity that cannot be held accountable for its actions beyond dissolution the ability to greatly skew and detract from the value and potency of millions of voters in favor of ideals, ideas, and issues that do not benefit anyone in the greater American populace but itself and its industry.

The "others standing up with picket signs" that I'm sure you idolize are barely restrained from murdering people for speech crimes by the knowledge that some of us have guns. So they're serving their purpose.

And plenty of gun owners do in fact protest, with or without guns, so I'm not sure what your point is.
>>
>>47420881
If someone has committed violent crimes in the past they should not be trusted with a tool who's only purpose is violence.
If someone drives drunk they lose the right to drive for the same reason.

What are you arguing? That we should completely remove ALL policing of ALL things? After all, just because someone is a murderer, doesn't mean we can take away their rights by imprisoning them can we? They have the right to commit crimes because they want to and telling them not to would be tyranny. In fact, if someone is stabbing you, you shouldn't be allowed to shoot them because hey, they have a right to the pursuit of happiness and if you try to stop them from stabbing you'd be infringing on that right.

Fuck off with this all or nothing black and white logic. Some people cannot be trusted with guns. Babies shouldn't be given guns. Autists shouldn't be given guns. Criminals shouldn't be given guns.

You linked me to a page bemoaning the fate of those poor members of extremist groups (and some legitimate victims, like the Japanese, wasn't aware those were secret tho). I'm not going to be sympathetic to extremist groups, especially ones out to destroy everything I love at all costs.

>PETA

Is a radical extremist group. They are not being imprisoned "for disagreeing with the government," they are imprisoned for being a part of a radical extremist group dedicated to the destruction of western civilization and, more importantly, the death of all pets.

So lets posit 2 scenarios.

There are two organizations: PETA and RETA. RETA is the same as PETA in all respects, except its Russians for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and its financed directly by Putin and takes orders from Moscow, solely pertaining to destroying western civilization, killing all pets, etc. like what PETA wants.

The latter is a state based organization and fair game. The former is stateless. Who the fuck cares?

And you expect gun owners to not only die, but murder fellow Americans -- all so that leftists who hate us, and want us to lose our freedom, and even lose our fucking pets, can avoid facing the consequences of membership in a radical extremist organization? How about no?

>>
>>47421180
>If you keep moving that goalpost

Do explain.

Because I've never said concealed carry permits are a federal law, just that they exist. And I did ask what states don't require any training and testing for the permits, because I wasn't sure what info I was finding was the most accurate. If you're afraid of people with unregulated license to conceal carry, do not go to the states that have it. States that do have it in place you shouldn't be worried about, if you just want trained and licensed people to carry firearms.

If you're afraid of people from states without regulations on conceal carry coming over to your state, then you might as well be afraid of everyone, because everyone in your state can be illegally carrying a concealed firearm.
>>
>>47421418

>all so that leftists who hate us, and want us to lose our freedom, and even lose our fucking pets, can avoid facing the consequences of membership in a radical extremist organization

Right now, I don't hate you. I wonder what low-population, creationist preaching, backwater educational system you graduated from, but I don't hate you.

Want you to lose your freedom?
No. I want the rich to be accountable for unethical business practices. I want stricter gun control laws.
But I don't want you to be unable to speak out against the next King of America.

As for your pets, I bet you don't even give a fuck about native fauna because it gophers cut into your cattle raising profits.

At any rate, I bet your parents had money and consequently so do you, made almost exclusively at the expense of someone else - either other people, other countries, or the environment itself. It doesn't matter as long as you're comfortable.

Because it really would be a definitive experiment to see if its good for the world in general. So either a new form of social liberty is reached or the americans kill themselves realising the columbine shooting was made by well liked "normies", win win I say.

Lots of bars have ban lists. The bouncers might not know the guy's name, but they know who he is by the description.

>mount it on the wall as a display piece
>sell it to someone else to mount on their wall as a display piece
>worst case scenario, sell it for the gold it's made out of
I see no reason that receiving a golden fiddle would be a bad thing.

If I risked my soul in a wager, and it turns out the prize is actually shit, I'd be disappointed too. It's nice to look at, but you don't want something that's nice to look, or something you sell to a pawn shop, you want to rock the South with the Devil's own fiddle.

You could sell it for enough money to buy a medium sized house.
