I'm working on Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. I won't lie, it'll probably be a little bit before it's ready. A new job has crept in and stolen a significant chunk of my free time. There's also the problem with writing out the in-universe laws that relate to magic/technology. Getting the wording right while still maintaining the feel of the world itself is tricky. I'll get it though. I'm determined.

I am bad at ranking things, and there are a bunch of moments I fucked up and just get the little twinge of guilt whenever I'm reminded of it happening.
A few times early in the whole "having imaginary children" thing I realized my lack of patience probably led to things like just using biomancy to shut the kid up while changing a diaper because I could do it safely, or forcing happiness via brain chemistry to get a good picture, or other weird acts of child abuse out of frustration. Mind controlling your kids aint okay, and I've gotten much better at handling kids over nearly a millenia of babysitting for the Inportent Clan on my off days.
There was also taking the time to teach Chimmy about human sexuality in Percy Jackson. It turned pretty manual pretty quick, but we had just gotten out of generic sugarbowl. Ten years of bottled up hormones and codependency, and then I tried to teach him how to get a date and things went south from there. And then I explained it away as just something friends do sometimes, and he was all about friendship with as many people as he can be good friends with. Even after he figured out that I was bullshitting him, he found it worked for him and kept it up.
Then there's the whole of Light of Terra where I was a bloody autocrat spending lives left and right for the smallest of gains. And the entirety of Avernum, where I took an Amnesia drawback and accidentally sapient monster rats all over the place. But we were really nice to each other and captives. And the GIFTS who were just too nice to be mean to.
I mean, they were all important lessons, really. About what kind of person I could be. It's too easy to become a monster of some sort when you have any level of power over others.

By allowing all of the people of every mission to live, you unlock the very power that created the roaches, break the cycle. So, with this cavalcade of adventurers we have a trading caravan wandering away from Harth, because fuck the underground. Avernum will take a few more decades to get over, it seems. I build carts and beasts to pull them, while everyone else gathers supplies and trade goods for the trip. Ko'el, and to a lesser extent Isaac and Toby, are formidable traders due to economics perks, and I get to see a bunch of weird monster DNA to memorize and incorporate into my future creations. I don't bother entering the city, but I'm always there when we're ready to move on. Most of the time is spent walking on my hands and talking to creatures who find it funny that I walk on my hands.

Okay, so S&S update. After a while tracking him down (and gluing my mind back together after mistaking a God of madness for my target), I found the Usurper. Unfortunately he had had a few months to set up shop by then and had a horde of undead thanks to Van Hellsing. Also my workshop was kinda wrecked when trying to summon the Ancestral Guardian from the same jump to extort for information backfired.
Sadly the resulting siege of his Spire ran into the issue of Madness Wavelength messing up Desty's nanomachines and Jormangandr and I got floored by some rather nasty wards against spirits. Apparently this was one of the cases where forsaking my mortal vessel actually made things worse. Luckily Sechs (who is my frequent sparring partner), Bigby (was in trouble because his Stand was mostly countered by some of the wards), and Anubis (who knows all my moves) were able to breach the spire and eventually kill the Usurper.
The problem being that killing him apparently didn't undo the theft of my Mantle. So now I'm going to have to go to the underworld to get his secrets out of him the hard way. Hopefully the dice will be less tsundere this time around.

So the Underworld was interesting. On the plus side I found someone willing to get me there, on the downside he only transported me and Anubis. From there it was a grand skeedadle throughout the underworld, wherein I discovered the guidebook I acquired was made by those seeking to make a quick buck. Ended up wandering through some of the nastier areas and got the attention of the enforcers, but evaded them and found the Usurper's spirit after getting directions from one of the few ghosts who didn't care about my Mark. Got the information on who taught him the ritual and the basics of how it works, unfortunately he refused to provide details beyond that and the daemons were closing in so I had to go.
For extra fun a ghost swapped out some of the packed rations I had on me for those of the underworld, and I initially missed the swap, so now I'm partially dead. The daemons will probably also be trying to hunt me down, for questioning if nothing else.

We Are Many, from Metalocalypse, lets you split into 8 different 1/4th-strength clones of yourself.
Self Duplicates from Teen Titans have all your powers. so each of those can split into We Are Many duplicates, themselves 1/4th the strength of the Duplicate they cloned from.

Hrmm... Well first off, because of sheer age and circumstance she's a bit of a grandmotherly type, while also playing the part of a competent city mayor / president (mostly as as a result of several modifications & infusions she's out-and-out taken over the Light of Terra - no seriously, she's so fucking rooted into the ship she's turned the outside hull and armaments into tree equivalents and I've had to train the electricians and mechanics druidism).
As far as being an administrative figure goes - she's the best I could hope for. She keeps me and my companions stable, manages the Arcian Fleet's day-to-day routines without complaint (well, jokingly complains on occasion and when Jumper!Me starts getting concerned tells me to chill out), and... pretty much is one of my most stable companions, and is one of the several keystones keeping my companion retinue from tearing itself to pieces.
Course, there's the drama between Yuki and Alexander after I permanently summoned him and joined him to the LoT. They've had some serious disagreements - oftentimes about heavy ordnance. Thankfully they work it out without too much trouble. Hell, after I gave Alexander a Nanomaterial Body to project his mind into, I've fucking caught them cuddling.
Which may explain those odd moss and vine patterns growing up Alexander's side now that I think about it.However she does have the infuriating quality of telling me to just give up and accept harem destiny, because of how shit's progressed.

From memory, importing a ship as a shipgirl is a one-way process, and they do not keep their full ship form as an alt-form. However, I believe some people have argued that they should retain their ship form as an alt-form, and with the creator gone, there isn't anyone to ask for how it is supposed to work. The other minor thing would be that the shipgirls are all boats and submarines, not spaceships, but again, without the author, there's no way of confirming if spaceships are valid for importation, and I'm not going to stop anyone.

I'll probably just wank that I did it already, actually. Most of the economy on the LoT is based around upgrading the ship itself somehow, just so the crew have something to do. Asteroid mining, manufacturing, actual ship expansions, trading with the locals, research and development, all done to enhance the living conditions of the residents. Safe water landings and take-offs isn't a very far-fetched project for them to undertake. It can enter atmospheres already, so landing is an idea that would pop up. It probably took close to 250 years to get it down perfectly, but that's how projects on super-space-city-fortress-ships go.
And since they work with the Kerykeion closely for a lot of stuff, like the fact that it actually can easily trade with the locals without blotting out the sun, it's liable that a lot of those upgrades are on it as well. And I have mentioned that I would increase the size to have a reasonably stable population anyway, so it's a few kilometers across and more like a submersible island than a boat.
So, I could have the "small" ship designed to land and become a city in the Kerykeion, I guess. Just plop it down and have it take root wherever. A flying city with the main AI replaced with a super-powered tree and a stable population of immortals.
It'd need a new name too, and Tenchi Space Opera is far enough off for me to hammer out the kinks before I get there.

This was my daughter's first day of real school when we finally got her enrolled. It took a little convincing, to the point where I just flat out told them we were extra-dimensional refugees who needed green cards and that even though she's like 6'5 she's basically a normal human 14 year old and needed to go to high school. And it worked out. Toby showed her the ropes and she had enough superpowers from her parents genes to get a pass on the whole esper business. Being the child of two psychics/wizards/supermodels/genetically modified supersoldiers/a few dozen other things can really pay off.
They did eventually form a gang to take back the streets from a bunch of young punks and make the city safe for non-gangsters again. I just did community outreach programs and taught soccer to inner-city youths. Things came to a head when they had to break the leg of a couple midfielders, and while I healed it, I had to talk them into toning it down a bit.
It helped that I had 7 dozen angry magi-psychic middle schoolers behind me.
Is the Symbiote Jumpmaker still around? I want to know how things like Berzerker OS work if you make your Symbiote a companion after the jump. Actually I'd be interested to know if you basically become a human in charge of Symbiote abilities (without becoming a proper Hybrid) or do you completely lose access to the benefits of having a Symbiote (besides those left in your body at the time of separation)?
If you take Stowaway to be the Symbiote in a Synergized pair will you still have the Symbiote abilities if you separate at the end of the jump?
If you take the drawback as a Synergized pair could you import a companion as your host, like if you were a Gray-Matter Transfer?

Well the issue is I legit have no idea what would happen. That and there's a HUGE taboo on offering perks that more or less invalidate unique choices in other jumps, so I honestly have no idea what to say. But on the other hand, I can also see people going "WORST CAPSTONE FUCKING EVER" if it doesn't do what they think it should do. Last thing I want to cause is more potential drama.
