Not a "fetish" per se, sympathy porn always makes for a popular waifu option. Take a character who's hurt/abused/lonely/scared/almost broken, someone the reader is going to feel sorry for and want to help them "get better" even (or especially) if they are so far gone they can never quite reach "normal", and you have an instant popular choice.

The Beings left the Shells behind, but various factions had left even before the beings. The Chernovy are no longer present, for example. There was a split the lore section will explain, but essentially some build a Ark level vessel meant to delve forever into the Annique.The other faction left wishing to explore a signal that was found in deep, deep space. Of course there were others that left, I'm leaving it a blank what exactly happens to each. The people left on Solus aren't meant to know.
Regardless your character may have been amongst one the factions that left, or they lived out their life on Solus, maybe they had a family, kids, whatever you imagine.

I can respect that, and understand why, even agree to an extent. That said, I worded it vaguely on purpose. That text is only meant to convey the experience as being anything but mild and pleasant. I want the reader to imagine a bad situation, not otherwise. What kind of situation should be up to the reader, and, I agree, it should not be rape as an absolute.
I may reword it so it can be a set up for anything from forced labor with little, and very bad, food, water and air - in an abusive, not necessarily sexually, environment to being kidnapped for illegal experimentation on a rare Shell type and so on. Whatever the imagined results, it should be the users idea of bad, so that everyone reading it doesn't have the same experience.

I'm not sure I'm going to have companions with mine. I guess I might assign a guardian angel to each of them, but first I need to finish deciding what the champions themselves are going to be like. I'm following a similar set-up to the sins in that each of them have 3 powers a unique way to level up, and a restriction, but with the virtues the powers are going to be stronger at the cost of the restriction being harder to avoid. For example:
Temperance- gain control of your body to a muscular level. See the various possible outcomes an action could have, with the likelihoods of each possibility. Note that this is a cause and effect type thing; temperance does not know what the enemy will do next, only what the enemy will likely do next if you do X to them (Ie: if I try to punch them, 50% chance they'll block it, 36% chance they'll dodge it, 14% chance it'll connect). By coming to understand yourself, you begin to understand things at a greater level, resulting in psionic abilities. Specifically, clairvoyance. As your first power grows, you may notice your field of vision getting progressively wider, eventually ending up able to see 360 degrees around you. Powering up further, you can start to view yourself in third person and eventually you can simply will yourself to look anywhere; at max power, you don't even have to know where you want to look, so long as you know what you're looking for. Your final ability is telekenisis. At first, it's just as if you were moving it yourself, but as your powers grow, you can move bigger things faster with more force. This has no upper limit. Your powers grow naturally with use, the more emotionally neutral you are, the faster they'll grow. Positive emotions like happiness are okay in small amounts, but they'll still slow you down. Negative emotions like sadness or hatred will halt your growth, or, if the feelings are strong enough, weaken you. Counterpart of gluttony

There are not nearly as many items that can boost INT/WIS as there are weapons/armors/whatever that can boost the other physical skills
Having an agility penalty when you stack heavier armors makes sense; stacking Skimpy Wear/a loincloth with Feathers and still being encumbered seems kind of ridiculous
Misc Items are pretty cool, would like to see more; Jewels are pretty broken; maybe have a limit and raise the price
Mounts are cool but seem disproportionately important; most builds seem to skip them in favor increasing stats

desu the companions all seem reasonably balanced, but when your own character can hit 14/15/10/9/4 or whatever, there's no real need to take any
Really liked how interesting and balanced the companions generally were; not sure if by accident or design, but there were some really interesting combinations possible when you took magic powers into accountthink I took electricity and geomancy alongside the arcanic/electric technomancer sisters to be a human battery/battlefield control last time I tried it
General Criticism: descriptions imply that hitting 10s in something is god-tier and 7.5-9 is superhuman/top dog tier but it's pretty easily to hit 10 in multiple categories and hitting ridiculous 15-20+ breakpoints seems to be popular in a lot of builds for whatever reason
maybe make it less easy to rack up points, or put less emphasis on points overall (like others have said, Sacrifice is ridiculously broken) esp because it seems to make people focus more on minmaxing stats

This is crappy advice, most of the companions are near 10 in multiple stats or even 11+. Doing this makes the PC shit compared to them.

I remember for the first iteration of a CYOA there was a skill that made you good at throwing shuriken, axes, knives, etc. and there was a weapon that you could buy called Throwing Weapon that said it could be any throwing weapon like a knife or an axe.

Why would muscular offer less than being rugged/masculine? Why do they even offer the same bonus? It would make more sense if you went into detail exactly why hell buff Muscular by giving it a bigger boost. Man this is odd. Wisdom and Intellect I don't feel were that vague, just assume you have something like.. say.. Fireball, if you have high intellect it can be strong as fuck and powerful, but without wisdom it can be unstable and not as easily casted. With high Wisdom and low int, the fireball may be weaker sure, but you can fire more of them and with enough perhaps guide it through the air.
