1) I'm not sure that goproblems.com is the best online source of tsumego. I would instead recommend the tsumego on Sensei's Library.

2) The last two links are just clutter.

3) If you're making a OP based around beginner help, then you should mention the youtube lecturers Nick Sibicky and Andrew Jackson.

4) You should mention Gogameguru and maybe Gobase.

its not even good enough to teach anything new to the go world

its also ignoring that fact how much betago cheats and its just not a truly fair match up with a single human player

let lee roll in with a fiber connection, a white board to doodle on, a stack of go book and charts, and maybe a few consultants and maybe it will be fair

of course that wouldnt be a good match up though because betago would be smashed

its like having a car enter a marathon race (and then still getting beat kek)

>>
>>46027584
Your problem is you think these pros for AlphaGo make it better than Lee Sedol. Did you know that AlphaGo was not able to learn from its loss in the last game? It wont be able to learn from it until after the 5 matches are done. Lee Sedol can learn from each one of his matches and figure out what holes there are in AlphaGo's code. Its obvious that Lee Sedol can beat the machine. He would just need to take time to find those holes.

You are mistaking this as an event to try to beat a human. The people who made AlphaGo see it as an opportunity to tune their AI. The losses are just as important as the wins at this stage to them.

So what's the main difference between this an using the star point as an opening?
>>
why does lee sedol always look like he's ten seconds away from either breaking down in tears or going postal with a machine gun
>>
>>46028122
Therefore if AlphaGo wins he's happy about AlphaGo winning
If AlphaGo loses Ke Jie is wrong and he's happy about Ke Jie being wrong.
>>
>>46028122
AlphaGo wins - I'm happy because AlphaGo won.
AlphaGo loses - I'm happy because Ke Jie is wrong.

This is not complicated.

What the fuck is happening
>>
Wrap it up humanailures, the chubby korean man just declared that alphago wins by half a point.

Someone left an extra white piece on P11 and it's making me autistic.
>>
>>46028145
It's a professional level game of Go.

>>
"white has a slight advantage"
So it turns out to be all according to plan.
>>
>>46028163
Black on Q13 as well.
>>
>>46028169
yer a cheeky cunt I'll give you that m8
>>
tfw michael accidentally left an extra white stone on the right side of the board
>>
>>46028145
One side has to surround the other color's pieces with their own while also not being surrounded.
Very simple rules, fucking ridiculous inhuman mind games
>>
"But i think at this point white is going to have a lead of a few points"
>>
>>46028153
i was really annoyed by him for the first couple of games but now I just see too much of myself in him to really dislike him

hits pretty close to home - having virtually no idea what's going on around him but having to scrape by with bullshitting
>>
WILDCARD PLAY BY LEE
>>
>>46028123

It just changes the sequences that can happen.
Generally two stones "underneath" the star point is more secure than one on it and one under it.

>hits pretty close to home - having virtually no idea what's going on around him but having to scrape by with bullshitting

thats called being a human with a job

You guys think we're going to play until the end or will one of them resign?

commentators seem to think we might actually see the end of this one

Phew
>>
>>46028208
In this case, his actual job is to convince people to play go. Given the fact that we have a go general on /tg/ now, he's doing alright.
>>
>Alphago plays the extra stone like 3 moves after Michael removes it
>>
do any of you here even follow go? its a cringe to read some of the things written here. also, lee sedol simply does not lose in late game, period. hes got this

>michael doesn't put it down until 3 moves after alphago played it
>>
>>46028237
I'm going to laugh at you when AG wins.
>>
>>46028237
not that im saying youre wrong but the single best player on earth says lee lost

are you such a go master that you have a better opinion than him? shut the fuck faggot and go suck some dick
>>
>>46028237
you'd probably expect the computer to have the upper hand during the end game, seeing as how it could have the entire board played out by this point, or nearly the entire thing.
>>
Isn't alphago like 20 points behind?
>>
they should do a best of 7, honestly. kind of bullshit that Alphago wins best of 5 when with these last couple games it really looks like lee's finally worked out how to beat it
>>
>>46028268
On territory but AG also captured a bunch of black stones.
>>
>>46028272
As someone who's completely uninformed, I think that best of 5 is the standard for professional go matches.
>>
>>46028272
I have been wondering about this. I was thinking they would add up the points from all the games to find out.
>>
>>46028284

They never do this weird shit where they continue playing on even after the series is lost. An actual tournament would have been a straight best of 5 which ended after AlphaGo 3-0'd him.
>>
WTF is going on in the top left? They're playing these 2-stone moves but top left looks unresolved AF. Am I missing something?
>>
>>46028259
what means is that if lee has an advantage then he isn't going to lose it in endgame because endgame is simple enough for both computer and human that he can play perfectly or only negligibly less than perfectly.
>>
>>46028296
Well neither are they training an AI in normal play.
Remember that the Human vs AI match is only the secondary point of this. The main point was to figure out problems in the AI.
>>
AlphaGo making small confident moves.
Thinks it won.
>>
oh shit alphago thinks it's won?
>>
>>46028328
That sounds like a bad idea when it's this close.
