First of all, it's Mono Green Aggro, not "Stompy". Second of all, it is a Tier 1 Modern deck.
It literally has no bad matchups against top tier decks.
>Twin: We have numerous maindeck answers to Twin combo and more in the SB. If they decide to go their beatdown route, we beat them at their own game.
>Affinity: We're faster and bigger than them. G2 Creeping Corrosion and GG.
RG Tron: Toughest matchup and still a coin flip. G1 Wurmcoil is admittedly hard to beat but we have SB answers. Karn is no problem. We can overcome O Stone.
>Jund: We are faster and more aggressive.
>Burn: G1 is a race, G2 we have lots of good lifegain.
>Amulet Bloom: Unless they get god hand, this is essy. We smash their face in the first few turns while they're durdling to get online and usually win T4.

Why not a nxythos or a primalcrux?
