For an eternal heartbeat the world pauses as all eyes go to the long ribbon of shining steel in your hand, the sullen gleam of the sodium lamplight playing down its length. You're as surprised to see it as they are; so you all reach the same conclusion simultaneously.
The balance of power has shifted greatly.
Then your heart beats again, and they rush you.
You lunge sideways, flinging your left foot behind your right as you take a long backstep; sparing your bum leg the more arduous motions. It's sufficient to block one man's path with his fellow, and *he* leaps back from a quick, darting thrust - he wasn't in range, but with the scales shifting so quickly, he's cautious.
That won't last long.
[ ] You have the reach advantage. Keep circling, keep dancing, keep them on their toes and play for time.

It's a time of war. Shouldn't you have a sidearm? 'cause if you do you should pull a Raiders and shoot at least one of them. That also has the advantage of calling down the calvary ...

>[x] You have the reach advantage. Keep circling, keep dancing, keep them on their toes and play for time.
Speaking from experience, in a fight of a small group versus a solo combatant, you need to circle and keep them in line. Never let them fan out and try to flank you. Try and use the terrain to limit the number of ways they can approach and fight them one at a time.
Also give the best and loudest impression of a bosun's whistle we can. Faster there's a shipslut on deck, the faster we are laughing.

Kill or disembowel one of them.
We have a bum leg, we can't keep moving so we need to use our swordwork and reading body language, as well as presenting baited openings to make the two try to attack where we want them to attack.
We have to make them attack us when we want them to attack us, and threaten them all other times.

If your basing that on my write-up. I couldn't find anything about the Royal Navy NOT issuing pistols. The listed gun is the service pistol for the rest of the MoD so I just used that. It's because officers have to go through basic and thus learn how to use guns.

What he needs to do is find some recordings from BEFORE Los Angeles and run 'em through the filter, to see if ships could sing before then or if, as Goto said, something Changed that day

Speaking of weird-ass frequencies that sound different to different people, I think I've figured out what Goto and Settle actually heard on that telephone: raw Insecurity.
For Goto, that took the form of the nukes and "the damn gaijin think you're trash" because, well, that's basically the core insecurity of japanese society. Even though he's worked with Thomas for over a year, seen and watched Americans put their lives on the line for his country, that's how that niggling spike of insecurity got to him.
For Settle, insecurity took the form of "you failed your ship and she's suffering because of it" because, well, that's what Settle's biggest hangup is. We heard it from his head itself.
That's why he was able to power through it, because he agrees.

The thing is, I thought Greece was alright in the 1930s. They were in forever debt during the Civil War. or when John Stamos took all the money to be apart of Full House.

Shit apparently gets a lot less naval point blank. What's to stop harder from dragging bitches down?
>>43261525
The same could be said of most carriers as most were sunk before the biggest naval battles.
One of the exceptions? Shoukaku
Someone posted this analysis of the damage Higgins took in the battle the other day: https://forums.spacebattles.com/posts/19391527/
I'd link directly to the imgur album instead, except I can't figure out how to get it to display the album view. Bit of a bummer.
