It should come with a warning that you need to have watched enough 70s/80s horror to really appreciate how much attention to detail the director paid in making that movie. Without that context it's pretty slow and uninteresting I think.

Tried Watching this with my gf on our TV and they talk so fucking soft and quit and yet seconds later its super load because of the music. So its almost a chore to play volume manger and I really wish they did a better job on that. I truly hate it when movies do this.
We stopped watchin it because we felt like we were missing information because of not being able to hear them for most scenes.
I will say I love the score (music) of the movie so for. We'll give it another chance later

It was just okay, imo. Not the worst, not the best but could have been so much better, desu.
I really hated the acting. I mean really hated it. The majority of them were so bland and so frustrating to watch. The execution of the whole theme fell short because of the overall script and the actors really made me stop caring at all, sadly.
I really love the idea of the whole movie, the score (music), and Imo, I think the director did a really great job with the cinematography. It is just sad to see this is final result when it could have been many times better.
Maybe it was the "hype" that I was hearing before watching this (wasn't much but it was still a thing) that made me feel this way.
But oh well.
