Sorry didn't find any cheap jgv stuff, or stuff that I liked. But paying is real easy in pornshops. Just take what you want and pay. Some stores even have little curtains at face-level, so the clerk does not see you and you don't see him. But in most shops it's pretty relaxed anyway, so no reason to feel ashamed of what you buy.
The thing is though, the bookstore-chain book off has DVDs, too. Pretty cheap ones. But it's just a small section on a floor with normal books. And often enough you pay at the normal register, where sometimes the cashiers are young girls/women as parttimers. That's a pretty tense atmosphere.

Ok, I'm back home and will start ripping the DVDs using Handbrake - but right now I'm still figuring out what configs will be best to keep the video quality high but the filesize low. If anyone here has any tips on that, I'd be happy if you could tell me.
Also, does anon prefer MEGA-links or actual torrents? Torrents might be a bit problematic, as I could only seed them initially and some other anons would have to keep them healthy/alive, due to my slow internet connection.
Before I left Japôn-Land I bought four more crossdress AVs, not sure if they're any good.
KHM-012, AJC-001/ 002/ 003. The last three I bought, because it was a pack for 900yen and because AJC-003 features a guy that usually does hetero-AVs with all sorts of popular studios like S-Cute, so I was surprised to see him in drag. Use constant quality and have the slider set to 19. From what I can tell, most JAV DVDs are interlaced, so have the deinterlacer set on in the Filters tab and set the FPS to 29.97. I believe I usually use slow for the deinterlacer. Have the x264 slider set to Medium or slower than that. Slower settings means it can compress the filesize better, but means it'll take longer to encode. With the audio, just use one of the AAC settings and have the mixdown set to stereo. Bitrate 160 or higher and the sample rate at auto.
Also to note, if it's 4:3 video, set the Anamorphic setting to none and have the Width x Height be 640 x 480. If it's a widescreen video, use custom anamorphic settings and have the display width set to 853. Make sure to open the ISO in VLC and check if there's any ads at the end of the video that you can cut. Usually it's the final chapter or two, so you can set it to be from chapters 1-8 instead of 1-10 or whatever.

Ok, I used your suggested configs, but changed the quality slider to 21, as with 19/20 they got too big (like ~1,5GB for a 40min 720p video). And as the AJC-videos aren't that great anyway I think it's alright.
Also, for some reason Handbrake couldn't rip the three DVDs each as one video file, but always split it into 3 scenes, so I had to put them into rar-files (no password). It would be great if some anon could turn the MEGAs into torrents, as my MEGA-account might be gone suddenly (for whatever reason).

And KHM-012 is strange as the cover says that it's 120minutes long but I only see/get 90mins. One scene is missing somehow. Yeah, I gave that a go it seems more like a dud file as the VGM2 codecs still cause the same error to come out even withthe MPCStar player

Ok here's an update after hunting things down the last hour. You can download the codecs via the internet archive as the site where the codecs were found is gone.

You need to run using a 32bit player and register the codecs in 32 bit.
Copy all of the codecs to Windows/SysWOW64 if you're running a 64 bit OS and open a CMD prompt inside the folder with Admin Privileges
regsrv32 vgmaudiodecx.ax
regsrv32 vgmsplt.ax
regsrv32 vgmv2k2dx.ax
regsrv32 vgmbgr.ax
Open with the portablke version of MPC-HC 32 bit or whatever you prefer and don't open with FFD Show, it should play, as far as converting handbrake doesn't like it but i'll try to find a way.
