probably a bad decision on his part, he probably thought they were way ahead of the field and as long as noone in their group was changing tires he felt comfortable staying out.

Dumb decision, they probably wanted to play it safe which is incredibly stupid since the race was already fucked at that point. That being said their probably prepared the slicks like 5 rounds before Rossi finally came in and if he had changed to intermediates instantly he wouldve probably been fast enough to win and be safe at the same time.
