I dunno why this triggers people so much, I just offer them what they are already on or a decent raise if they are already on peanuts and have developed into someone clearly quite important for the team. If they accept that is great and they rarely get pissed off because the offer isn't a massive insult and from there you can just negotiate as normal. Only time it is a problem is if they're old and may be due for a drop in wages but usually by that point you should be getting rid anyway.

I want to start a new save and holiday (unemployed of course) through until 2025-30, then I start my career. I want the game to maintain a lot of players for my perusal but obviously the more nations/leagues I have loaded the slower it'll be.
Should I just start a small game for the pacey wenger processing times and then use Add/Remove Leagues to bump up the player count a few years before I'm ready to start managing?

All evolutions give the same xp from what I've seen. Rattata is actually meh since it takes 25 candy instead of 12 like Caterpie, Weedle, and Pidgy.
Don't spend stardust at all. You will catch better shit in 2-3 levels than upgrading until you're bankrupt now. Most important things to spend coins on are item backpack expansions, only other decent things are lures and those can be mooched from people playing with their credit cards.
