2. Nets have no picks, therefore need young talent. Johnson is young and has played well for miami, even if he hasn't played an entire season. Nets have a coach now that's regarded as one of the best player development coaches (helped Lin, Teague, Bazemore, Horford with his jump shot and driving, etc), so it gives them an opportunity get a young guy and make him better possibly.
