Ah. So what are the arguments for and against staying with the EU? Pretty sure the ones for leaving are muh immigrants.
>>
>>68867583
Ones for leaving were all much immigration and muh taking back control without any idea what would happen, especially with the economy
>>
>>68867600
So the people for staying are don't want to leave because they don't know what will happen if they leave?
>>
>>68867618
people were for staying because it was the economically sensible thing to do (as you can see the pound is immediately going into JUST mode) and a close vote ending with staying would've strengthened UK stances within the EU

people were for leaving because muh immigrants even though the areas most heavily in favor of leaving were barely affected by intra-EU migration

though in reality it was all about the memes and at the end of the day the leave meme was just danker

welcome to democracy in 21th century: where most of the real issues are so complex that 99% of the electorate don't understand them, so the sides have to resort to made-up bullshit to argue their position, and even that is in the unlikely case that they actually know what's going on

that is why so much of the discussion is focused on immigrants for example, in the big picture it's a fairly irrelevant issue but it's easy for everyone to have an opinion on it, unlike on the extremely complex financial issues that actually matter but need years of expertise before you can even form a picture of what's going on

Then the Germans will crash the union. With no survivors.
>>
>>68869503
But most of Wilders' voters are 50+ which is the biggest agegroup that is allowed to vote. Populism is becoming a huge problem. The thing is that not a single party in the netherlands caters well to the average voter except for the PVV. Politics haven't interested the average folk because they have no idea what politicians actually do and say. So when a person comes by yelling that islam is cancer and that the EU is a corrupt mess with only negative consequences they tend to believe that person because that person speaks the language of the simple folk. The PVV is going to do really well in the coming years, partially thanks to the fearmongering of the VVD..

England has always been the counterbalance to Germany in the EU, if anything this will give way to more kraut-based retardation within the EU as their relative power is now even greater.

Of course there is no need to panic, I mean when did anything bad happen just because a German chancellor enforced radical rules regarding a significant ethnic minority in all of Europe just to strengthen their own national political status?

this is only the first of many countries realizing the deeply flawed issues with the EU; trying to co-operate when fundamental national interests are incompatible was not only going to lead to failure...but also to the undermine international relations.

what's hilarious is that the exit is in Britain's best long term economic interests and sustainability, even if there's pain in the short term. it's almost a necessity, picking between the poison now, or the poison later.

yeah no, and especially as a net importer our currency being weaker is bad

plus considering how reliant we are on financial services this will significantly weakn them here with companies moving stuff to dublin/frankfurt/paris

this is a retarded move economically and only potentially a good move if you thought the eu was simply going to get way worse and more dominant which considering the feelings of us, the french, dutch, danish, poles etc was unlikely

it's a return to where Britain should be, as they are running a trade deficit with the EU. markets will realize that Britain’s external position is unsustainable; Britain is living beyond its means. they don't have much net debt to the rest of the world, but this continued current account deficit builds up foreign debt...leaving Britain with four choices:

>default
>a Greek-level economic depression
>substantial sterling depreciation
>complete political submission to Germany

the first and last options are almost fantasy-world options, especially the German one as that would be done with the expectation of receiving permanent transfers Germany. the Greece option is too fresh in the minds of many to face with any sort of being ok with it happening. that leaves the pound sterling depreciation as the only option. it's going to happen, and Brexit means that it happens on Britain's terms, and not Brussels'. or Berlin's. the sooner Britain rips off that band aid, the better.

running a trade deficit isn't good or bad

we are nowhere close to a default or a greek like situation, in no small part to having our own central bank and currency and in general having an economy with much stronger foundations, but its mainly the control on monetary policy that's key

basically you are chatting utter shit, the economic shock from leaving the eu does increase the likelihood of a recession and difficult times, none of that was on the cards whilst staying in the eu - there was nothing 'berlin' or 'brussels' were doing that undermined us economically, we are no more sheltered from eurozone troubles outside the eu than we were inside it

nearly the entire western world is racking up debt because the goverments are using money behind their countries means but nobody can cut budgets because 1: nobody would vote for them 2: because even when they do make cuts people riot, on top of that the level of the people's consumption is based on completely imaginary shit, no one is saving money, most people are in debt.

we're having this huge party right now that has no basis in reality and holy shit is the shock going to be nice when everyone all around realizes mid-party that's it's funded by debt money that's been debted dozen times over to different people with vague promises. at that point everyone realizes that they're all indebted to each other but nobody's going to pay because everyone's debts are bigger than their funds and belongings combined

Britain, in the EU or out of it, now has a ridiculously unbalanced economy from spending far too much money brought forward from the future, all because of abnormally low interest rates. and yes, that's a problem faced by many economies. but the massive current-account deficit (literally a record high 7% of GDP) shows that the problem is far worse in Britain than anywhere else. all this British allegiance to the EU is amusing to watch, as the EU has no qualms in ensuring that British economy and the British financial sector would be sacrificed to protect the euro area.

it's a bitter pill to swallow, but the continued rise in British “living standards,” adjusted to underlying productivity growth, has to decline for a time. there needs to be higher interest rates, lower house prices and a weaker currency; not burying heads in the sand and hoping for the best, hoping that the next crash won't be so bad.

>ridiculously unbalanced economy

in some ways yes

>from spending far too much money brought forward from the future

but not from this

>all because of abnormally low interest rates

or this, you think this is all because of low interest? what is normal in your eyes? low interest is an issue but it is idiocy to say borrowing at historically low levels now is a bad idea, it is something the government is not actually doing enough of, as it would help boost growth and debt/gdp is what matters most

> but the massive current-account deficit (literally a record high 7% of GDP)

this is economic illiteracy, there is nothing wrong with a trade deficit, go read a book on trade

>as the EU has no qualms in ensuring that British economy and the British financial sector would be sacrificed to protect the euro area.

uhhh such as?? all evidence points against this and being part of the eu is a huge boost to our financial sector having access to the single market and being anglosphere/commonwealth ties. just look to all the job losses/being shifted already, you're spewing nonsense

>there needs to be higher interest rates

not yet no it will kill growth and create deflation, things you do not want at all

>lower house prices

sure, but our housing problems are 90% a problem of supply and having the most restrictive planning regulations in europe

>a weaker currency

yes the price of goods rising will be very good for us, or wait no, this is nonsense

You are talking a load of bollocks, you seem to have a particularly weird idea about current account deficits which shows utter economic illiteracy. You also seem to have very weird ideas about our economy in general.

The first two or three windows would be hectic due tot he lack of Britbongs, leading to use mediocre players, inability to offload the foreign players because of their wages and probably use of grey players too, but on the very long term, yes the game would be able to handle it.

>>
>>68870943
He will have to do it anyway at some point so I do expect he will just get on with it. The only reason it may not be in FM17 is that the government will have to decide what to do about EU national workers already in the country and if/how they will qualify for a work permit.
And the FA will probably have to revise their shit for issuing new work permits, they might leave it the same but it seems unlikely since a huge amount of players would not have made it into the PL without their EU passport under the current rules so they'll probably have to soften it up slightly just to compensate for the fact that signing anyone from outside the UK just got 100 times harder.

If we get some clarity on exactly when we will leave the EU and how work permit rules will be changed and what will occur to those EU nationals already based in the UK then I am confident Miles will put that in appropriately but considering Cameron quit but isn't out until October and FM release is typically late October/early November and obviously most of these decisions will be made by Cameron's successor (also Greg Dyke is leaving as head of the FA soon, completely unrelated to the referendum, just coincides but similarly his successor will be the one dealing with FA changes to work permits so again we will have to wait for whoever that is to get their shit straight too which they likely cannot do until the government have sorted out their shit) so realistically there will be almost no clarification by the time FM17 is due to come out.
So chances are 17 will see us hardcoded out of the EU by a rumoured date and the same WP rules we already have applied to everyone or Miles will hold off on putting it in simply because the important decision have not been made by the time 17 is released or will have only been made a handful of weeks in advance.

All of which means 17 may or may not see brexit programmed in but even if it is it won't be done well and literally none of it will be Miles fault.
