He'd be an ace in MLB right now if he played in the US. If he really hit 99mph/160kmh 31 times in a game, that is unreal. He'll be signed by the Yankees in a few years. My only concern would be as usual, the wear and tear on his arm. If he's throwing that hard added to the fact that Japanese pitchers throw more pitches than American pitchers, it would be a big concern for me.

If Ichiro "swung at fucking anything" he'd have a lower batting average and probably more dingers. Many MLB players have commented on Ichiro's phenomenal discipline and eye-hand coordination at the plate.
