Ferrari (Vettel) finished ~7 seconds behind the Merc, without Vettel's errors could have been 2-3 seconds. This is with an added pitstop (15 seconds or more). It's unlikely Hamilton was pushing 100% but he wasn't fucking around either. Vettel was legitimately faster than Mercs today.
Ferrari actually seem to have quite a great car, only 0.2 off pole and legitimate faster race pace on this track. Mercedes just got extremely lucky and Ferrari need better strategists. I have a feeling Ferrari will come back extremely strong after the summer break and I wouldn't be that surprised if the title fight actually came down to Ham vs Vet. Mercedes will continue to improve but Ferrari really aren't as shit as people keep saying, and Red Bull really isn't as GOAT Ferrari killer as everyone is saying (yet). Red Bull will probably shine on tracks like Hungary but based on their performance here, Ferrari seem likely to be strong on the big power tracks, Monza, Spa, Mexico etc maybe even Baku.

It's unfortunate but it does appear Mad amx is going to be the perfect racing driver. He will probably destroy some records in the future.
If he can do the impossible and actually control his emotions a bit and be more Schumi than Senna he will be unstoppable. His attacking and defensive driving has shown that he doesn't really spill his spaghetti that much like a young Vettel or Massa any era, or even Hamilton at times. He has legitimate supreme confidence and has the ability to control the car exactly how he wants. He also seems to have the rare skill (for sim babbies of this generation) of actually being better at racing than quali.
Ricciardo is already getting btfo and it says a lot about max to be able to be so competitive in such a short amount of time.

Dude it's imminent. Max is now already showing to be as good at races as Ricky. And I'm not a particular Max fan and will probably dread the seasons of AMXWINSLOL.
Ricciardo is also 8 years older than Max. And his career is only just now "starting", as in now he's getting the big opportunities and maybe even fight for wins consistently soon. Max's age really can't be overstated, he's going to have almost a decade of F1 experience by the time he's Ricciardo's age now, and Ricciardo is still considered a young-ish driver.
Max has already shown that he is a better driver than Kvyat, and Ricciardo doesn't look too magical in comparison either. Of course Max isn't DESTROYING Ricciardo yet, but the signs of it happening are there. He is already pretty close to Ricciardo and is basically doing as well as you could possibly hope for.
