These days your center doesn't have to be a dominant scorer. Adams fits the prototypical modern C since he does all the things that you need your center to do. He runs the floor hard, he sets hard screens, he anchors the defense, he can even switch on to quicker guards, he's got good hands, great athleticism, great rebounder and can run pick and roll and finish around the rim effectively. That's what you need your center to do in today's perimeter game.
