I saw Sebastian Vettel at the FIA headquarters in Paris yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and waving his finger in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen World Championships in his hands without paying.

Bernie at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Seb, you need to let me rig those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear him, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When he took one of the championships and started rigging it multiple times, he stopped him and told him to rig them each individually “to prevent any teammate infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he scanned each championship and put them in a bag and started to say the dicksucking price, he kept interrupting him by going YABADABADOO really loudly.

Kvyat does a great job at ending his career in 2 races

He is undoubtedly finished. Sainz is destroying him, there's no more development to be had. and its not worth the time and effort.

I like Kvyat and he's a nice guy but if you're not good enough then you're not good enough. He hasn't developed like he was expected and now he's not doing well at Toro Rosso either.

>Lewis Hamilton warned he is going same way as former world champion James Hunt as he gears up for the Spanish Grand Prix

>The view of one team principal this week was that Hamilton is ‘distracted’. He wondered aloud whether all the driver’s flights to America, where he enjoys the celebrity whirl and shares the pictures of it all with his social media devotees, is catching up with him.

>‘It has to take a toll on his body,’ said the team principal. ‘Everyone who travels away on Formula One knows how its ages you, how tired it can make you feel, and even though he is young and fit he cannot be immune to that phenomenon.’

>The buccaneering James Hunt was a contemporary. And Watson sees potential parallels between the decline of Hunt and the current travails of Hamilton.
‘There is an analogy to be drawn,’ said Watson. ‘James was a global presence as Lewis is now – his wife ran off with Richard Burton. That’s like Liberace coming back and taking up with Nicole Scherzinger (Hamilton’s former girlfriend).

>‘James won the title in 1976, and in 1977 and 1978 there came all the spin-offs of being world champion. He was a celebrity. The balance shifted away from doing his job as a driver towards off-track distractions. It is easy to believe that your social life does not have an impact on your performance, but it has a drip, drip effect. It is subliminal.

>‘The balance of your focus changes. I would like Lewis to rein in his trans-Atlantic activities and concentrate on winning the world championship for a fourth time. If he does not want to do that he should pack it up.’

>One rumour in the paddock – and it is no more than that – is that Hamilton will take a year out at the end of this season.

There's no reason to pretend like this. Kvyat is a stupid slav.
>>
>>67571826

Since when does home circuit mean anything? Russia was Kvyat's home circuit and he's choked there every single time.

Barcelona is the test circuit and everyone on the grid knows it better than any other circuit so there isn't any sort of "home advantage" regarding some special knowledge unless you beleive some psychological shit

If Gasly wins the GP2 championship this year, especially if he does it as dominantly as Vandoorne, Kvyat is done in F1.

If Gasly flops, Red Bull have no drivers to replace Kvyat. Kari will get kicked out before the season is over, Camara is only a solid midfielder in one of the weakest F3 grids of all time and the other two - Verschoor and Leeds - are only on F4 level at the moment.

If Red Bull want to be cheeky, they'll do some kind of shoot-out at Toro Rosso next year between Kvyat and Gasly, just like they made Klien and Liuzzi share a seat at Red Bull in 2005.

I was about to ask the same.

For a replacement I hope it's someone really left of field; and if Mercedes is still in a dominant position; I hope they win the title. That would fuck Hamilton up something fierce.

As for what team; I expect that he fully expects to drop back in Mercedes like that year off wasn't any thing at all. Otherwise I could see a return to McLaren if they're in the ascendancy. fucking shit at that point I could see.

Meh, he doesn't deserve it personally but he kind of does deserve it as a driver based on skill. It's embarrassing for him but Red Bull is already being proven that they made the right call

Kvyat would have qualified behind the Ferraris or something

Yeah, also

>"Gutiérrez dominated the whole season as he scored 10 times out of the 16 races, with 8 podium finishes and 5 wins"

Against a relatively shitty field with really not that many drivers who went onto become anything notable afterwards. Even the results he got might not have warranted a championship for him against a stronger field like e.g 2015

Basically just got lucky which inflated his performance

Good move though. Jos is a crazy person and Max is basically already where he needs to be in his career, Jos has done his job. He said his goal for Max is to get him a race-winning car and he's more or less there now and in such a position that he will probably have to fight harder to leave than to stay, which isn't too common for a driver in his 2nd season.

Keke was quite involved in Nico's early career as well, even set up his own GP2 team basically for Nico and stayed very close to him, and then backed off when he made it to F1. Hamilton's dad didn't let go and Hamilton had to fire his own father lmao.

Spain: Rosberg will lead into turn 1. MAD AMX will try to overtake Hamilton and crashes him out. Rosberg cruises to easy victory.

Rosberg 125 - Hamilton 57

Monaco: Hamilton will tap a barrier during the race while chasing Rosberg who started from pole. DNF for the nigger.

Rosberg 150 - Hamilton 57

Canada: The two Mercs battle for the entire race, but Hamilton can't find a way past and Rosberg wins with Hamilton second.

Rosberg 175 - Hamilton 75

The gap is now 100 points and Hamilton is still going to have 10 place grid penalties later in the season for the 3rd reprimand and engine problems.

This. China is one of their biggest markets. That's one of the reasons they'll keep Gimi for next year. Star Wars failed in China because they cast a nigger in one of the roles - what would happen to Ferrari if they hired a nigger driver?

Also, they've publicly said many times in the past that Hamilton doesn't interest them in the slightest.

not even /pol/ but it's true. Chinese people REALLY hate black people. Also a very large percentage of them in big cities are literally drug dealers so it's somewhat understandable. I've been in a Beijing taxi with a fluent Chinese speaker who asked the driver about his opinion on black people and he says that he will not pick them up because they don't belong in China, and he said that this sort of thought is normal for Chinese people because every Chinese person who has ever encountered one knows that they are either violent or criminals lol.

Even in Beijing or Shanghai, which are easily the most liberal areas of the mainland (you can even see gays and lesbians holding hands and being gay in the open in some places which is interesting considering its you know.. China), a Chinese woman dating a black man is 100% unforgivable, like not acceptable in any circle except for whatever fringe SJW's China might have. Even dating white men is frowned upon but its nowhere near the level of stigma of dating a black guy.

Hollywood's forced diversity in the form of black people is going to cause big harm to them in the future when they finally accept the fact that they actually just make blockbusters for the Chinese audience. (1.3 bln people in China vs. 250 mil in USA, obviously a superior market).

Point being, Hamilton probably won't be signed to Ferrari. Then again he is a "clean" black guy with relatively pale skin and not a true AFRICAN BULL but he has no real marketing worth there, unlike Kimi (for whatever reason). Chinese people barely even know where Finland is from my experience.

Nah he will choke the start like the other two starts from pole he's had. People talk about his season like he's had awful luck but this is in fact his 3rd pole of the season and the previous two he fucked up on his own accord. Granted he had incidents afterwards but the incidents wouldn't have happened had he gotten a regular start, or even a start as good as Rosberg's.

>>
Didn't watch qualy, how was Massa cucked?
>>
>>67578139

He's had so much success in his career that it's good to see him struggle every once in a while. A lap like today shows that he really is a top driver though but it's still enjoyable and everyone knows he's miles ahead of Rosberg on most circuits

I'm just waiting for it to reach critical mass. I think the longest he's gone without winning a race in his whole career is like 10 races so it would be nice to see that "record" be broken this season just because his reactions are so priceless and he might actually start crying
>>
>>67578037
Gimi has white skin and blond hair. Both Mikas and Heikki were big in Japan and China, too.
>>
>>67578206
Williams strategy call, once again. Timed his run wrong and he didn't have time/fuel/tires for one more lap.
>>
>>67578206
feeling depressed about his hair, the team fitted him with a valderama wig which got sucked in and blocked the turbo
>>
>>67578206

Williams fucked up his timing. Even though we could only see his eyes he was super pissed.

How do you even fuck that up? There's a big ass clock there that tells you how long you've got.
>>
>>67578139
A lot of the stuff that's happened wasn't even his fault

If Bottas hadn't cucked Lewis at the start he could've had a great chance at a win

He didn't have stellar moments in China but he did just about as well as he could given his situation

Russia saw him miss out on Q3 due to a mechanical failure

He's still got a lot of talent and he's gonna deliver the goods at some point this season. Whether it's tomorrow or in a month, Lewis will return to his winning ways.

I'm an Amx fanboy so you can trust that my opinion is unbiased

I'm indifferent to him, I mean he's obviously not a bad driver. It's just been one thing or another with him and it's been interesting to see what the next thing will be.

Honestly I'd just quite like to see Mercedes as a whole be reigned in by other teams.
>>
>>67578206
his lap in q1 was shit, he blamed it on non-existent traffic getting in his way

then when he came back into the pits the team couldn't refuel his car and get it back out on a new set of tyres quick enough

Meh. Taking into consideration the rate of development (McLaren are now officially Q3-tier, at least almost, compared to worse-than-Sauber last year), they will be pretty decent next year.

Ferrari has no chance of doing anything new this year. They'll get a few wins, finish runner up if Red Bull doesn't cuck them and then they'll try again next year. It's what Alonso went through as well. I don't think Ferrari is incompetent. I think they actually worked incredibly hard and threw everything they could think of at this car to make it better but it's just not enough.

I'd say the chances of who wins a title next between McLaren and Ferrari is about 50-50. Ferrari IS closer and has been closer for a long time but their next realistic chance is going to be 2017, at which point, compounded with the new reg changes, McLaren might be competitive as well. And there is no reason at all to think that MWL won't continue, and if it does, Ferrari will be grinding dat eternal 2nd which is the reason/""reason"" Alonso left in the first place, so he's kind of right.

Alonso also does seem a bit more relaxed and positive and his relationship with McLaren actually seems somewhat decent compared to how he was with Ferrari
>>
>>67579181

Hah yeah I was just kidding, I know he's actually in his late 50s, which is pretty impressive for a guy in his late 60s.

I wonder if he'll still be racing in 10 years when he's in his late 80s.
