For lack of a better word, Wenger is intimated by certain kinds of players. The kind of players that win titles. He can't handle big personalities anymore. Wenger has surrounded himself with players like Walcott, which has led to a culture of cowardice imbued throughout the club. Someone like Vardy, integral to Leicester and Ranieri's success, wouldn't even be a blip on the radar for Wenger. Those fighters, loved by their own and hated by opponents, are needed to win.
