Draymond Green is picked 35th. Yes, the top few picks mostly make sense, even Dion Waiters is at least a SERVICEABLE player in a slump (12-15ppg is reasonable, 9 is pretty bad tho Dion cmon). But Draymond Green is now widely considered the second coming of Black Jesus because of his versatility and ability to make his teammates better. He sets up the 3 pt shooters with easy looks with kick outs, collects carums, gets easy points, and passes from the post with skill and guile. This is something literally every team would benefit from, and yet no team saw him as worthy of a pick before 35th? The draft is luck, You might get a great sleeper like DG as a 35th or 50th pick. Unless you end up with the very 1st or 2nd pick which is usually a guaranteed all-star, you will end up with just a random chance for a good player so it is best to stockpile lower draft picks than go for 10th picks, in my opinion. Who the fuck wants to pay out for an Austin Rivers, Meyers Leonard, or Jeremy Lamb? Nobody. You could get yourself a Jae Crowder at 34th and maybe an Evan Fournier or Miles Plumlee as well, for the same price probably.
